Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Wind Beneath My Wings
Song by Bette MidlerOh, oh, oh, oh, oh
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine, that’s your way
You always walked a step behind
So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
A beautiful face without a name for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain
Did you ever know that you’re my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I’ve got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it
I would be nothing without you
Did you ever know that you’re my hero?
You’re everything I wish I could be
I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
Did I ever tell you you’re my hero?
You’re everything, everything I wish I could be
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
‘Cause you are the wind beneath my wings
Oh, the wind beneath my wings
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings
Fly, fly, fly away, you let me fly so high
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky
So high I almost touch the sky
Thank you, thank you
Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings -
Both myself and sis say thank you very much!!!💗🤗 We had a very nice lunch today although sis hit a pothole on the way to the restaurant and knew the tire was going flat. Coincidently there is a Toyota service center right next door to the restaurant so she had them change the tire while we ate. Came back to my house for dessert and a drink.🍰🍷 I’m already missing her.😥
Taking SIL for lunch next week since our weather is iffy the next two days. The husband of our best friends birthday is also next week so I imagine we will go out with them. We will be eating our way through the week.😮

Hello Oodie, I hope this finds you and your husband doing well. All these ideas are wonderful. We often send little gifts, some snacks etc. My MIL lives in a assistance living area and has her own apartment with a kitchen. But she doesn’t cook much and prefers to eat in the cafeteria with others. How are you liking our warm weather?
Stay safe Oodie and be careful when you go out. Take care Oodie -
@Sheba
Good Afternoon Sheba, its another warm day here. The air conditioner has jot stopped running, we keep it at 74 in the house.
I hope you are having a great day. That’s a wonderful idea, I need to locate my camera. Most definitely will need to recharge the battery.
We cleaned out, defrosted hubby’s freezer. I got it on Amazon last year, a 7 cubic foot freezer.
In the bottom of the freezer I found lots of cut up chicken and bags of frozen shrimp along with some of my chicken stock, lol.🤣 Hubby mostly uses that freezer for his packaged vegetables and blueberries he can eat. He has a bowl of frozen blueberries every evening. And he prefers frozen spinach, peas, greens, green beans etc, along with peppers and onions to do his cooking. He cooks very spicy dishes which makes my eyes burn when he is cooking and I don’t eat. Much different from me, I like all fresh items and jo spicy food. I can’t even have black pepper it makes me cough.
We have a large laundry room that fits washer, dryer, freezer, shelving with six shelves and a dresser. The dresser we got years ago at Wood You that we keep packaged and can items in. I also keep some baking items in it.
No cooking today, just taking dishes that I already prepared from my freezer.
Stay warm and safe Sheba. Take care. -

Silliness
Giving yourself permission to be silly will nourish your creativity, and is a good exercise in letting go.
Children appreciate all that is silly as a matter of course. Their grasp of humor is instinctual, and even the smallest absurdities provoke joyous gales of earnest laughter. As we age, this innate ability to see the value of silliness can diminish. Work takes precedence over play, and we have less incentive to exercise our imaginative minds by focusing on what is humorous. When we remember childhood, we may recall the pleasures of donning funny costumes, reciting nonsense poems, making up strange games, or playing pretend. This unabashed silliness nourished our vitality and creativity. We can take in this nourishment once again by giving ourselves permission to lighten up and be silly.
Too often we reject the wonderful silliness that is an inherent, inborn aspect of the self because we believe that it serves no purpose or is at odds with the grown-up culture of maturity. We play yet we do not lose ourselves in play, and our imaginations are never truly given free rein because we regard the products of irrational creativity as being valueless. Yet silliness itself does indeed constitute a vital part of human existence on a myriad of levels. Our first taste of ethereal bliss is often a consequence of our willingness to dabble in what we deem outrageous, nonsensical, or absurd. We delight in ridiculousness not only because laughter is intrinsically pleasurable, but also because it serves as a reminder that existence itself is fun. Skipping, doodling, and singing funny songs are no less entertaining than they were when we were children. We need not lose all interest in these cheerful and amusing activities, but to make them a part of our lives we must be ready to sacrifice a little dignity and a lot of fear.
It is precisely because so much of life is inescapably serious that silliness should be regarded as a priority. Through the magic of imagination, you can be or become anything — a photographer, a professional athlete, a dancer, a pilot. Whether you take hundreds of silly pictures, revel in the adulation of your fans as you make the winning catch, boogie down rock-star style in front of your bedroom mirror, or turn your desk into a cockpit, the ensuing hilarity will help you see that lighthearted fun and adulthood are not at all incompatible. AMEN! ✨✨
