Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

My BIL has had so many problems for so many years, way before Covid. With all his hospital stays, doctor appointments, dialysis, etc., I’m sure he has been checked for Covid many, many times. SIL said they saw something on the second MRI so now he is going to be tested for meningitis.

Sending love and strength to all of you 💗 this isn’t an easy time…but together we can make it through. ❤️💙💛✨✨✨

Sheba, yay to the rain. I can just imagine Poppy wanting to hitch a ride on you. Dogs have such personalities. I dont know about the coat since i already purchased the Laurier and Bernardo. The Laurier price went lower, so i got price matched :). Will let you know if i nab it. Talk about gas $$$, SD is more expensive than SF. Our gas, electric, housing, food etc are all.off the charts. This is sooo nuts.
Shoelady, best to you bil, hope he feels better soon. -
Hi again,
I forgot to mention to check Amazon on the price for a Kindle. There are many to choose from. The Paper White along with the Kindle Fire. The sound quality in the 10″ has been updated and is great. I have several Kindles: 7″, 8″ and the 10″. The 7 and 8 inch fit into my purse and that is what I will carry with me when hubby has doctor appointments, surgery and physical therapy. I also will carry the recharger just in case it’s needed. I do not have a Paper White because at the time I wanted to be able to go on line as well. I read and finished the book I started last night. It was a good read and no wonder it is a best seller. The best part in reading is that you never lose your page. When you open your Kindle it will automatically return to the page you left. You may also want to check out the Nook (Barnes and Noble) and do a comparison. For the most part, I enjoyed Kindle and the free book (new novel prior to being published) every month. And, yes, you can do face time on Kindle. Also do a comparison on Kindle with HSN. Love doing the jigsaw puzzles as well. This is free. And yes, there are times that you really do lose a piece. I have to scatter the pieces to find the one that I need. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask.

I was just thinking. Could the illnesses your bil is facing, could it have anything to do with Covid. It seems to hit the most vulnerable areas and it’s not during the illness but following. I think the biopsy surgery last year was covid related, though, at the time, it was difficult to prove. But since, some people have come forward with the same things. The TIA and the kidney infection could all be related to Covid. There is tons of info on line now.
Yeah, gas prices are on the rise. It will probably be close to $6 by the time we head North. Hubby has a cardiologist appointment on the 24th and I have relayed this info to the orthopedist’s assistant. I suspect we will have a new date for either April or May and then at least a 6 week recuperation awaits us along with physical therapy. Hopefully, when everything is over he will be able to drive, that is, drive me crazy…….

Peace Out Peeps! Have a safe evening. ✨✨

Good Evening. Sun shone all day with temps in the mid 80s. Like xango mentioned we certainly could use some raindrops. We are at least 4″ below normal. We do have some rain chances this week, but I am not holding my breath. Humidity will be up beginning tomorrow. Our pollen count today was 12.1. No wonder I am coughing and sneezing. But, it certainly has cleared those eustachian tubes. For once I can hear the TV, but hubby still is speaking in a whisper. Oh, forgot to mention. We were out and about on Friday. I think I mentioned it was $3.79. Well today, we hit the all time high of $4.00/gal +.
I have not heard from our second choice for a cardiologist. I left a message over a week ago. You would think with all their physicians one would have an opening if not today maybe tomorrow. Now I wonder if I left our phone number. I also left a message with the orthopedist’s assistant. She may not phone, but maybe she can work a miracle or two. So thankful that we are not planning going North at this time. Between the cost of a gas and a hotel room, I hate to think what the price would be.
For the most part, our Farmer’s Market has been able to stay the course with their low, everyday prices. They are higher in their milk, eggs, ice cream, etc.. The last time we purchased eggs was at Aldi’s @ $.86/doz. Walmart is considerably higher than most of our grocery stores which is a surprise. I’m hoping we will be able to take a ride either to St. Pete or Brandon this week for the Asian Market. Sure could use a fix. Great nibbles for the return trip.
Have a great evening. I’m on my way to the kitchen to work on three shelves in a couple of cabinets. They just need a wipe before I empty the dishwasher.

@Sheba
Good Afternoon Sheba, you clever lady. These pictures you selected for everyone are so beautiful and interesting. I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your husband.
Your rain is much needed here. We are so dry, haven’t rain in a long while, only a few drops and I mean drops.
I didn’t make it to Lowe’s this weekend, didn’t get the time. Hoping to this coming weekend which by the way we will loose one hour😬
Here is wishing you a great week Sheba.
Take Care. -
Thanks for the prayers.🙏 We will be getting your rain tonight and tomorrow.🌧 Just hope the wind doesn’t do any damage.
Making a new sauce today, mushroom cream sauce with linguini.🍄 Using a whole pound of various mushrooms and a pound of linguini so I hope it’s good since we will have it at least two days. If not, down the drain, money and food.😝
Sending hugs and kisses between the raindrops.🤗 Keep an eye on Poppy, I think is scouting places to hide his leash.🐶🤭
