Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, hope you are feeling better after your procedures. Hope it was not too bad. Was surprised to read this. Sounds like Your Heidi set is complete, good job and enjoy it.
I have been sick the last few days and may not post for another few. It’s a gift from my hubby, Not covid. Ahhh to think some women get jewelry while i get a headache and congestion. Love nyquil.

@Sheba
Those cocktails looked devine. How I actually wanted one, but alas,, not good with the sinus meds. Guess it’s smoothie time.

@Sheba
I will hope and pray for Heidi’s family. Not good when you are not well and then there is nothing one can do. However, sometimes, just by luck, there may be a way out. The Internet is full of many possibilities. One has to keep the faith even if the news isn’t good. This is easier to say than to practice. You know the song, “Smile though your heart is breaking.” I’m feeling it now. Try to have a great evening. Stay warm. We are cool on the Gulf coast. Temps were in the mid 70s today and no humidity. Evening will be the mid 50s to low 60s. This is the way it will be all weekend.
The chicken salad and homemade fries were delish. This is the first day that hubby prepared both breakfast and dinner. A total surprise. It’s been months since he has used the stove. We have come a long way since the middle of July. And, he is walking better. So good to see him up and about instead of in bed all day. Hope it continues.
Goodnight Sheba. Have a great evening. Hope to get out and about tomorrow.

I wish I could come down there and give you a hand. Oodie I am going to call
the office and see if I can share this unhappy news it’s not Heidi but …someone very
close and it is so sad. -
@Sheba
We were supposed to do some shopping today, but it never happened. Hubby fell asleep following breakfast and I did the same while working a jigsaw on Kindle. I must have needed to make a trip to the library and didn’t quite make it. I fell out of bed hitting the side of my head on a handle on the side table. Landed on the floor and did it just like hubby. Only I had more of an adventure. I am fine but sore. Head is fine and will keep checking just to be sure. Hubby tried to help me to a standing position, but I managed to do it without repercussions. That’s the first and hopefully, the last time I will ever do that. Tomorrow will be venturing out and about and rest assured I will be looking for something to put on those handles so we won’t be hurt.
Had a great afternoon and most likely dozed again before Trivia. Woke up with a start and made it to the computer. It was three minutes past 8 pm. That was the quickest I ever made it to Trivia. Yes, I am fine.
Feel so sorry for Heidi. I just hope and pray that everything will be OK. Oh, before I forget, I did notice the post from Luvsweets. Again, as we age, the recuperation time seems to be longer and longer. And on a good note, hubby seems to be doing better. So proud of what he has accomplished since July.

You are so funny I love your sense of humor. ✨😘You could be a writer for a TV Show.
I want to say the hospital I had the surgery in last month is a top notch and the best in Kansas.
My husband had his heart surgery there and three of our children were born there and I had
one major surgery there. I trust the hospital this is how they did it. I had to first have a Covid-19
test at the hospital and get this no one could come in with me that was my first Covid Test
ever. It was not too bad. Pending the results I was scheduled two days later. Hubby was able
to sit in another part of the hospital but could not go back with me. This is the first of February
and our state still had some mandates. ✨Every State is different things are looking better
now so I hope no family has to endure being alone I have been alone so much during treatment I just say a prayer and do what I have to do. I am glad this ride is over!!This is something I did not see coming and my doctor caught it after a test. All was well and good until that call came in December. I was so happy to have the breast cancer behind me
I did not think much of it but the nurse called and explained some things they just wanted
to be sure. End of the story is I am fine. 😘✨I just did not want to worry anyone as a lot of
us had things going on.Life is Good. 😎😘

Good Afternoon Sheba, I hope this day finds you well and enjoying your Afternoon.
That’s a good looking drink and I bet it tastes wonderful too.
We had some rain yesterday, and grass and plants were very happy.
Wishing you marvelous weekend, I will see you in Trivia tonight. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
Well my goodness, I only found out about National Cocktail day on this post. It is almost 5:00 so I wasted two-thirds of the day already! I will try to make that up this evening, thank you very much.🍷🍸🍹
Lots of running around today taking care of things for mom and my husband. Ordering pizza🍕 because I’m too tired to pick up a pot or pan. I will sit back with my cocktail and watch hockey later.🍸🏒
I am sooooo happy all is fine with you.🤗 One never knows day to day what will pop up. I am wondering why no one could be with you. When my BIL was in and out of the hospital so many times lately, he was allowed to have two family members there. And this is a major hospital in the city. Whatever, God bless you.🙏

Gifts from the Universe
If we trust in a universe that has a higher purpose, then family members are in our lives for a good reason.
Families can contain a fascinating grouping of personalities. Despite the potential for so many to have similar traits, there are many different ways to express them. As people marry into families and have children, even more personalities enter the picture. There may be some people that we would not choose to be related to, but that’s what friends are for.
If we trust in a universe that has a higher purpose for everything, then we must believe that family members are in our lives for a good reason. These reasons may be easy to see and appreciate with some, but others may offer us a challenge. With those, we can look for something we can learn or perhaps teach. In the modern world where everyone seeks to be individuals, many move far away from their families in an attempt to escape them. But when we’ve successfully built a world around us that requires no one’s help, our families are the people who are still attached to us. We can still choose whether or not to honor the family ties, and how to treat each other, but the fact remains that we are energetically tied to our families.
Our families help us see where we have come from so that we may more clearly decide where we’d like to go. If we can learn to accept our families for who they are, then we go out into the world armed with the ability to deal with anyone. Some families are better than others at preparing us for the world. What we learn from our families, even if they are simply blank spots on our family trees, becomes the basis of our identities as individuals. Rather than denying our connections, we can choose to accept their presence in our lives. Acceptance does not mean we have to like them; we simply acknowledge that we are connected to them and honor that connection for like it or not, there is a reason. When we can embrace all that they bring into our experience, we may be grateful for all we have learned from them and have to learn, while we experience everything that comes with family fully and completely. AMEN! ✨✨😘
