Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hello Sheba, I glad your temperature is back up. Ours down here is warm and the humidity is back. Became tired just by watering the plants, well I stayed a bit longer out there than I should have.
The way to use rice water to feed your plants is: You wash your rice with a strainer before cooking your rice to be consumed. Then just water the inside or outside plants with it.
Or, if you have like me old rice hanging around( it was purchased before husband became diabetic) and now it’s old. I place the rice in a bucket, fill the bucket with water. I allow it to sit for one day outside. Then I use it to water the plants. But be careful not to allow rice to fall into your plant. It will create mold. So I strain the water before watering my plants.
No cooking today, husband stopped by Publix grocery store and brought fried chicken and fruits.
So my dinner was Grapes and fried chicken. If I become hungry later I grab a cup of soup. 😋
Take Care Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
Thank you for the bubbly!🥂 Sis should be landing shortly in St. Louis then on to the ‘burgh, arriving here around 7:30. Going to mom’s tomorrow for her birthday cheesecake🍰 and out for an early dinner on Thursday. I’ll have a busy couple days.
We have a freeze warning next two nights and then I think spring will finally be here for good. Hope this doesn’t hurt my lilies, irises and azaleas.🤞
Happy Birthday to your dad. I already expressed his cheesecake to heaven so he will be ready to join us tomorrow.🙏🦋🥰💖

My dad past away a long time ago and I still miss his smile and how he couldn’t swim, but taught me dive in their pool. Once my parents added the pool, the vacations on the Cape stopped and they would take day trips whenever dad was not working and not too tired from the long hours he put in as a pharmacist. I still remember how he hung on to the edges of the pool and would walk around and sit on the metal stairs in the deep end. It’s funny, you see your dad as a butterfly. I see my parents in the doves that come by from time to time at all our homes. And then there are the pennies, dimes and quarters from heaven. The first time I saw one was after I thoroughly had cleaned the living room on the Cape. There was something on the floor afterwards. At the time I had Menshal, our cat, and I thought he had made a mess. Decided on a closer look and it was a quarter. I was dumbfounded. Couldn’t imagine where it came from. The clothes I was wearing did have pockets, but there was nothing in them. And, it has been happening ever since, especially when I least expect it. Which, of course, is daily. My dad’s birthday is in June, Mom’s is May. Yes, I still get sad, but then I remember how sick they both were and that helps me get through the day. I know there is no pain where they are and no illness.
One more appointment this week and that is tomorrow where I go to the lab for the usual tests prior to a doctor’s appointment. Hubby wants to go with me and take me out for lunch. Not a bad idea since I have to fast until after 12 noon before I can chow down.
Next week we have the wildlife people. They will be checking under the house for rodents and reptiles; They will put up metal fencing around the foundation. They also suggested that the plumber look at the plumbing since rodents can make tiny holes in the plastic tubing which allows them to climb into and follow it up to our residence. Mentioned this to the plumber yesterday, but refused to do that end stating they can come in anywhere through anything. But, he did place things over the holes for the faucet so there is no exit or entrance point. Love the new faucet which I purchased through Wayfair. It has separate faucets for the shower/spritzer and one for just one column of water. Nice water flow and plenty of pressure.
By the way, how did your plants do with last night’s temps. If they don’t look too good, you may try watering with lukewarm water. Think of the same temp you would use for a child. I assume Poppy is feeling OK.

Seeing Beyond Fearful Delusions
By focusing our light on our fears, they are revealed as mere shadows that disappear in the presence of mind and spirit.
One of humanity’s biggest fears is losing what we have. It is healthy when fear of loss helps us take steps to protect what we have worked hard to attain, but it is unhealthy to continue to fear something we can do nothing about. We need to remember that focusing our energy on fear can actually create what scares us, and holding tightly to what we have keeps us from participating in the universal flow of abundance and instead creates stagnation. Since we can only really control our thoughts and our responses, gaining proper perspective may be key to conquering such fears.
Fears of being separated from something or someone we feel we need for our security or happiness comes from a delusion — a distorted way of understanding ourselves and the world around us. When we understand that possessions are only representations of the energy at work in our lives, we can shift our attention to the right and proper place. We can stop fearing loss of money or success because when we understand how it is created, we can always create more. We can stop fearing loss of possessions when we realize that they are not the source of our joy or well-being but only icing on our cakes. And when we understand the energy of love, we need not hold anyone too close for fear of losing them for we know that love does not diminish when it is given or shared but expands beyond boundaries of time or space.
By focusing our light on our fears, they are revealed as mere shadows that disappear in the presence of mind and spirit. We can choose instead to direct our thoughts and creative power toward things of true value — love, abundance, peace, passion, and joy. These are energies that are always available to us when we place ourselves confidently in the universal flow of abundance. Amen! ✨✨
