Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, Oz is cold. wow. Must echo Oodie that the fashion show you posted was nice to see and all looked great.
ok everyone make sure to check your spendable Kash under your account.
Was watering a big bush and something popped out, It was a tiny fledgling, poor thing got all wet. It managed to walk off into a hiding spot. Luckily.
I backed away while a pair of birds stood watch. Then one went into the bush. I didn’t see a nest in it but it must be nearby. No more watering over there for me.Sheba, your backyard sounds lovely.

Good afternoon Sheba, your peaceful area sounds awesome.
Received all the sheets sets I had ordered from Wayfair, Overstock and HSN. And the Quilts, yesterday and today. One set from HSN looked Blue on the screen but it turned out to be purple. But I can still work with that, the important thing is they are comfortable and soft. That they are, very soft for a 400 thread count sateen sheets. The ones from Wayfair are made in India to my surprise, and extremely soft and luxurious. Got two sets one grey, one beige.
The Quits are lovely, I wish I could send a picture. They are three florals, one blue king size all from Overstock. Good price and very soft. I am in the process of washing them. Good thing my washer is extra capacity, the Quilts are over sized.
Take care Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
Please send some of your cool weather. Right now I am hearing thunder and will soon get off the internet and close down. I had an experience on Cape when I did unplug the computer, but the next day when I plugged it in, the computer was dead. Brought it to Best Buy and the inside was like all together from a fire. Seems the lightning was still inside the circuits in the house. The tech mentioned leaving the computer unplugged for at least three days. In Florida, I wait a few hours and then replug. Yes, we have the necessary protection.
Ok. An update. Had not heard from the Orthopedist and so left a message this morning. I received a call from his assistant and they have yet to receive the info from the cardiologist. So she will fax them for the info. Hubby has an appointment with the orthopedist on Monday and we will go from there with a surgery date. Now I will cancel my doctor appointment which is at the same time. The distance is too far for him to be in the driver’s seat.
The people are here working on the house. They will return tomorrow to finish. Meanwhile, I am redoing the kitchen area for the last time. I need to put things at my finger tips.
Heidi will be back the end of this month. I just hope she has some summer things and beach themes. Still remember the chair from last year which I could not purchase because it was on line and I was in a hotel room wondering how hubby was doing after visiting hours were over.
Take care. I hope you planted some butterfly/hummingbird plants. They will bring tons of joy.
I forgot to mention that I really enjoyed the gala show last night as a gif. Some of those gowns were spectacular My hearing is not that good today. Once I take care of the sinuses, it will pop back. Back to kitchen chores.

Noise as a Distraction
Distracting yourself with talk-radio and television can become mind-numbing, if not taken in moderation.
Our lives are typically filled with noise. There are the noises from the outside world that we cannot control, and there are the noises we allow into our lives. These noises, from seemingly innocuous sources like the television and radio, can actually help us avoid dealing with uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. However, using noise as a distraction hurts more than it helps because you are numbing yourself to what may be internally bubbling up to the surface for you to look at and heal. Distracting yourself with talk-radio, television, or other background noises can also prevent you from finding closure to issues that haunt you.
Noise as a distraction can affect us in many ways. It can help you stay numb to emotions that you don’t want to feel, allow you to avoid dealing with problems, distract you from having to think, and make it easier for you to forget reality. Drowning out the thoughts and emotions you find uncomfortable or overwhelming can complicate your issues because it allows them to fester. By tuning out noise and relishing silence, you create the space to experience and express what you are hiding. It is only then that self-exploration can begin in earnest and you can stare down frightening issues. In silence, it becomes easier to let your strongest feelings come forth, deal with them, and find new ways of resolving your problems.
When you go within without the veil of noise to shield you from yourself, you’ll be able to figure out what you need to heal. Embracing silence and introspection allows you to work through your thoughts and emotions and transmute them. Free of the need for noise, you can accept your pain, anger, and frustration as they come up and turn them into opportunities to evolve.
Amen! ✨✨
