Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Good afternoon to you. Gloomy day, we had storms and a tornado warning last evening.🌩🌪 Lots of rain and wind but no damage, most damage was southern part of the county. Seems like we just don’t get nice showers, it is always a “first alert” weather day.
You won’t believe this but I actually went to bed before the hockey game was over.🏒 When it went into the third overtime I was tired and the nerves were shot. Saw on TV this morning they won almost at midnight – the game started at 7:00. Game 1 in the books, hope the rest are a little easier.
My husband and I hadn’t seen our neighbors and their kids for at least a month and were concerned something happened. Finally saw the husband Monday and found out they moved to St. Croix!!🏝🌏 She is a nurse and was offered a job there a few years ago but they didn’t go. But now was the time. Their house is on a cliff right by the ocean. He is an electrician and is going to flip homes. Told us the first home should be done by fall and to let them know if we want to visit in the winter. Not selling their house here just yet. We were surprised but happy for them.😊

The men just left and now I can return to the kitchen duties without being interrupted. Our cable is not working for the TV. Spectrum will be out next week. I do need to contact the electrician and hopefully this house will be upgraded. I had to put it off because Hubby spends most of his time in bed. While the men were here, we did clean his closet and I hope it will stay that way.
The last doctor appointment I learned that hubby’s kidneys are not functioning the way they should. I am looking at vitamins that may help. Not sure of Andrew’s line, but will do some comparisons. I have a feeling that this could also be an end result of Covid or the time he was very dehyrdrated and wound up in the Hospital. I’m just hoping it is not a disease because there is no cure.
I am looking forward to Monday. We should have some of the answers then as to the date of surgery. Once we know then a decision can be made.
Ears are good today. That saline solution works better than the over the counter sinus relief nasal sprays. Who would have thought.
Forgot to mention that the spoonbill did a fly by as I was at the kitchen sink. He was in a deep pink. Must be those shrimp he has been eating.
I will be checking Heidi’s thread. She is scheduled to return in a couple of weeks.

Things We Can’t Control
We develop grace as we learn, with the guiding hand of the universe, life will unfold exactly the way it should.
The idea of trusting the universe is a popular one these days, but many of us don’t know what this really means and we often have a hard time doing it. This is partly because the story of humankind is most often presented as a story about struggle, control, and survival, instead of one of trust and collaboration with the universe. Yet, in truth, we need to adhere to both ideas in this life.
On the one hand, there is much to be said about exerting control over our environment. We created shelter to protect ourselves from the elements. We hunted for animals and invented agriculture to feed ourselves. We built social infrastructures to protect ourselves and create community. This is how we survive and grow as a civilization. However, it is also clear that there are plenty of things that we cannot control, no matter how hard we try, and we often receive support from an unseen force — a universe that provides us with what we cannot provide for ourselves.
It is a good idea to take responsibility for the things in life that we can control or create. We work so we can feed, clothe, and shelter our loved ones and ourselves. We manifest our dreams and visions in physical form with hard work and forethought. But at a certain point, when we have done all that we can, we must let go and allow the universe to take over. This requires trust. It requires a trust that runs deeper than just expecting things to turn out the way we want them to. Sometimes they will, and sometimes they won’t. We develop equanimity and grace as we learn to trust that, with the guiding hand of the universe, life will unfold exactly the way it should. We are engaged in an ongoing relationship with a universe that responds to our thoughts and actions. AMEN! ✨✨
