Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Oodie, Hello! Glad to read your in tip top shape! Thanks for your note about my computer. Basically one night it rebooted and it appears my chrome book was pushed an app verion of HSN. Everything is very large. I am getting used to it. What followed is that I was getting logged out frequently. No rhyme or reason.
Regarding your husbands upcoming surgery, dont they have orthopedic surgeons who specialize in these replacements and work from certain hospitals? Just learned about some neighbors who have had all sorts of parts replaced. I was so surprised how frequently these surgeries are done. Knees, Hips, Shoulders, really amazing. -
Sheba, hope the labs were over quickly and went well. The earrings have not yet arrived. They should arrive any day. I don’t mind waiting.
Today I ordered some bedding to be used for guests and a blanket for my son that were on clearance. Have you noticed some higher shipping costs?
You mentioned Palm Springs being so hot and like another country….
my parents always said when they were in CA it looked like a foreign country to them which is why your post made me laugh. Palm Springs is nice and has Mountains. They also have wind turbins along the freeway and elsewhere. The wind coming off the Mountains to the freeway below can be intense for drivers. Used to go through there on my way to AZ. Glad your neighbor is enjoying it. -
❤ this.

Hello Sheba, I am glad you are feeling alright. Yes the rice water does work, make sure to strain out the rice and not get any rice into the plants or dirt just the water.
Today I am feeling just a bit under the weather, a little stomach problem. But soon it should calm down. No cooking today, decided to make a sandwich only. Hubby has his food which is low in carbs and no sugars.
We had a very sunny day and winds, again.
Take Care Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
After much soul searching and contacting our healthcare, we decided to obtain a second opinion. We have an additional three choices in another location and will check them out beginning tomorrow. Going to a hospital that has an all around horrific info is not something either one of us wishes to use. Guess this was an eye opener. Guess we will now go for a second and third opinion. Will keep you all updated on what we think.

Imposing Your Will Upon Others
When we impose our will onto others, we are telling them we want to control and leave them without a true voice.
The right to make your own choices is a precious one. We grow when we have the freedom to decide our own paths and determine what makes us happy. Yet there are those who are inclined to try and control others. They may be driven by insecurity, envy, fear, or the need for power. These people are deeply critical of themselves in their own minds, and underlying that critical nature is unhappiness. Their need to feel sure-footed and secure is quenched by controlling those around them, whether they are friends, colleagues, or even pets. However, nearly everyone has found themselves imposing their will upon others at one time or another.
Trying to impose your will on others can be tempting for many reasons. You may feel that your way is the best way or that you have a keener insight into the direction their life should be taking. But, in imposing your will, you are indirectly saying, “I want to control you.” Thus, even when you have the best of intentions, others may end up resenting you for your actions. It is always helpful to remember that it is possible to influence people and change their behavior through education or example without imposing your will on them.
If you’ve caught yourself being a bit bossy on a regular basis, make a note of it. Write down what the situation was and why you acted the way you did. You may have pushed a friend to try something new, because deep inside you wanted to try it yourself but were feeling hesitant. Or you may be unjustly interfering with work teammates because you aren’t sure of their abilities. Next, make an effort to understand and accept their preferences and ways of doing things. It can feel natural to impose your will when you feel that you “know best.” But there is a freedom to trusting others to find their own methods and joys, even when they might differ from yours. Sometimes the best course of action is to step back and relinquish control. You may, in doing so, see everything from a different point of view. AMEN! ✨✨
