Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Good evening in Oz. We got plenty of rain today🌧 so all plants are happy. SIL leaves tomorrow so we had dinner and said goodbye. Other SIL will be taking her to the airport.✈
Hockey team🏒 played a great game but they lost in overtime.😥 We had so many top players injured and they really lost the series in games 5 and 6, not last night. On to next year, I will enjoy watching the remaining teams.
Yay for your labs!!!😊👍 That had to make your day. Prayers🙏 and fingers crossed🤞 for the mammogram. Then on to see your family, how exciting.💗💕💗 Hugs, hugs and more hugs.🤗🤗🤗

I almost forgot about the eclipse last night and into this morning. Yes, I saw it because I had to go to the van for bottled water in order to take the nightly vitamins. Our moon was small, but the maroon color was gorgeous. Hubby was with me, but he forgot his glasses, so I am positive he could not enjoy what I was looking at. There is some peace in the world after all.
Hubby’s surgery is scheduled for June 13. Time will be given to us when he goes for the bloodwork and EKG. That probably will not happen until a week prior. He also meets with the surgeon and his assistant three days before and to go over questions including the medications he can or cannot take. We will also have the schedule for physical therapy. I just hope it won’t be very early in the morning. And yes, I do keep my eyes opened when driving, walking or just going to the van at night. I also dread the long drive North because you never know what is happening behind, in front or even to the side of you. I suppose that is also the reason why, as we approach an overpass, I check for people and young children hanging out. The world seemed a better place prior to Covid. Then again, maybe it’s the same because we were not as observant as we are now.
This morning I contacted the appliance repair person recommended by the plumber. I had originally contacted the plumber to inform them that the dishwasher would not start and there was no light when you tried to turn it on. I wondered if it was because the hot water was in a different area, but they had said no. I also asked if someone could come out to check if it was plugged in. They were supposed to contact us, and we waited all last week. When on one called, I resorted to the appliance repair person. Well, when he had problems turning the machine on, he returned to his vehicle for something to check the wiring as well as the computer. Everything seemed OK. Come to find out, when he checked underneath, the plug was not attached to the outlet. I was fuming as he left. I will contact the plumber to let them know and that will be the end of that scenario. I will be looking for a new plumber.
We had clouds in the sky yesterday. It never turned dark, but it was humid and hot. I happened to turn the telly on to Bay News 9 and it looked like Polk County was in for some torrential rain and a huge thunderstorm. Hillsborough as well. But everything South nothing. We sure could use some of those drops. It would make my sinus problem a bit better. Oh well, the week is just beginning. Maybe later.

Good Afternoon Sheba, I am happy to read your wonderful news. So glad all is right, and that you have no worries.
After a big thunderstorm yesterday the Sun is full and the temperature 89. It did clear up before the moon came out, full and beautiful.
That was such a marvelous beauty, the Lunar Eclipse.

Manic Monday
Song by The BanglesSix o’clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin’ Valentino
By a crystal-blue, Italian stream
But I can’t be late
‘Cause then I guess I just won’t get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday
Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an aeroplane
I still couldn’t make it on time
‘Cause it takes me so long (Oh, oh)
Just to figure out what I’m gonna wear
Blame it on the train
But the boss is already there
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday
Of all my nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
To get down?
(Last night, last night)
Doesn’t it matter
That I have to feed the both of us?
Employment’s down
He tells me in his bedroom voice
C’mon honey, let’s go make some noise
Time it goes so fast
(When you’re having fun)
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic MondayWritten by Prince

The Importance of Napping
The desire for a short nap during the day does not arise out of laziness, rather the need for the body to rejuvenate.
In the modern world, we’re often compelled to be as productive as possible during as many hours of the day as we can be. While this can lead to great feats of accomplishment, we may become exhausted and find ourselves craving rest and rejuvenation. We may feel like taking a nap but feel guilty about indulging in even ten minutes of rest. This need for personal downtime, which many people experience in the early afternoon, isn’t a sign of laziness nor is it necessarily related to how much sleep you had the night before. There was even a time when taking a nap was considered a natural part of everyone’s day.
Napping is a pleasurable yet brief period of sleep when our minds and bodies can take a break. Though judged by many to be a pastime for children or the elderly, napping can benefit people of all ages. The desire to nap is a trait shared by many mammals, and napping is still an important part of the day in some countries. Snoozing for a half-hour can be an enjoyable way to promote physical well-being, and naps have been known to improve your mood and memory. A 20-minute nap can sharpen your senses and revitalize you, while a ten minute nap can leave you feeling more cheerful. Falling into a light sleep during the daytime can feel meditative. The thoughts you have as you are taking a nap and the dreams you experience may offer you insights about your life that you may not have at night when you are in a deep sleep.
In order to fully enjoy the benefits of napping, you may need to give yourself permission to nap. Feeling guilty about snoozing or worrying about your to-do list won’t do you much good when you are trying to take a nap because your thoughts or feelings will keep you awake. Try to nap at the same time each day, and use an alarm clock to ensure that you don’t sleep for too long. If you go to an office, try crawl under your desk for a nap. Learning to nap and enjoy its restorative benefits can help you wake up restored, rejuvenated, and ready for the rest of your day. AMEN! ✨
