Had to go out this afternoon to pick up a prescript and to stop at the UPS store to return an item to Amazon. Earlier I was reading the news on-line and came across something about Amazon. This is really scary. Seems on the more expensive items Amazon gives a code for the customer to use to be sure that the item is received. Seems the customer gives this code to the delivery person and then they receive the package. Upon opening the package everything is intact except the higher priced item. Calling Amazon’s customer service gets you no where. The customer already used the code and everything on their end shows received. So, whatever is missing cannot be re ordered. It’s sort of a catch 22. However, since it is now in the news and others have come forward, they are checking on it. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Really a sad situation for both Amazon and the customer.

Before going out, we had a thunderstorm. Heard the loud thunder claps, yet the sky in the East was in full sun with clouds. so, I didn’t think much about it. But then more claps of thunder and then the torrents of rain. Went to the den and you could not see the homes across from us on the lake. The storm lasted about an hour. Happy person I was. We needed the rain. When the storm was over we left. Dropping off the item to UPS store was easy. As we were heading West there were more dark clouds on the horizon. It looked like another storm was on its way. Went to pick up the prescript and stayed in the car and went to the pick up window. They took forever and when it was finally delivered the rain came. Rain was really heavy. We could not see that much in front of us and consequently missed the street we needed. So ended taking the longer path to Aldi’s. Thank goodness I had the nylon bags in the van and I ran with them to the store. Most roads were flooded. It was still raining very hard when we were done and checked out. Packed the bags in the store and then loaded the car. I’m finally dried. Guess one can say, “be careful what you wish for.” Honestly, we needed this rain and I hope more is on the way. Oh, forgot to mention. Returning the carriage to Aldi’s, there was a streak of lightning that hit the pavement right in front of me. there was a customer waiting for her ride and she saw the whole thing. Asked if I was OK. I was. Scared the living daylights out of me. Well, guess I better put the things away. Take care. Stay safe.

Good afternoon to you, your hubby and Poppy.
Trivia was fun last night. I was not able to figure out the questions. And I am greafull for the all answers.
The weather is teasing me again. It gets dark, rumbles and then nothing. We just had a huge burst of wind, became very windy and dark, thunder but no rain.
The entire country is having a heat wave, an so is Europe. Even Brazil which is in Winter is having some warm days
