Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

“Candle In The Wind 1997”Goodbye England’s rose
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
You called out to our country
And you whispered to those in pain
Now you belong to heaven
And the stars spell out your nameAnd it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England’s greenest hills
Your candle’s burned out long before
Your legend ever willLoveliness we’ve lost
These empty days without your smile
This torch, we’ll always carry
For our nation’s golden child
And even though we try
The truth brings us to tears
All our words cannot express
The joy you brought us through the yearsAnd it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England’s greenest hills
Your candle’s burned out long before
Your legend ever willGoodbye England’s rose
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
Goodbye England’s rose
From a country lost without your soul
Who’ll miss the wings of your compassion
More than you will ever knowAnd it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England’s greenest hills
Your candle’s burned out long before
Your legend ever willAnd your footsteps will always fall here
Along England’s greenest hills
Your candle’s burned out long before
Your legend ever will -

The doctor’s assistant returned my phone call and we had a nice chat. Seems that the day of surgery I will be meeting with a Case Manager to go over quite a number of things. Seems instead of staying overnight, they feel hubby should go into rehab for two or three weeks and then I should have a home health aide three or four days per week. They felt that I might not be able to handle him following surgery. Example: Getting out of bed and going to the bathroom. I do have a commode. Only thing, hubby uses it in the shower. Its perfect and so easy to take in and out. The bottom part is in the hallway closet. The only thing I question is getting into the house and climbing the two steep stairs, though the ones in the lanai that lead to the den are perfect. Two steps and then the landing into the den. But right now, I think the surgeon and the assistant are making a “mountain out of a molehill.” Also I have quite a few chairs on the lanai and some could be nearby just in case. They are easy to get in and out of. As you can tell I am deeply concerned.
It’s been quite a while since hubby had a haircut and so today was the day. I had driven by the place he usually goes to and since they had a phone number by the door I called last week. I must say he looks great. He looks better and he says he feels good. From there picked up a prescript and then proceeded to figure out where to go for lunch. We decided to try Thai food. Our meal was a salad with rice and pork. Everything was delicious. Hubby thought they should have served more food. But, he forgets. This was lunch. And it was more than ample.
Next Wednesday we go to the hospital for some tests. One will be the EKG and a test for his oxygen levels. I am hoping everything will be OK. Beginning Sunday he will be taking only his prescripts. No vitamins. No aspirin. Thursday he will again start the scrub necessary part of pre surgery to prevent infection.
Tomorrow we will finish the kitchen including cleaning the refrigerator. I need to do a self clean on our oven, but it’s still too hot to open windows. So will wait for a cooler day. Following the kitchen and dining area it will be back to the MB where we will need to unload the dresser completely. It’s the only way we will be able to move it away from the wall.and to do a thorough cleaning.
Well, you are a good step mom to that sweet neighbor’s kitty. I wonder if she has taken it to the vet. Something tells me she hasn’t. Not a good idea to let the cat out when it’s unwell. Then again, maybe it’s too difficult to keep it inside. Glad it comes to you for comfort and to cool off. You are a Mrs. Doolittle as Sholelady called you a few days ago.
Have a great rest of the evening. Pleasant dreams to you all. Oh, just thinking. Harvest moon in a few days. Should be beautiful and with the stars, spectacular.
