Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎

I went back a few days reading the different posts, I am sorry to read about your and your mom’s friend who passed. And about your BIL who is back in the hospital.
You certainly have your hands full, I will keep you in my prayers. My cousin in Brazil has a friend who has a group that gets together in prayers. I will ask her to send prayers your way too.

Hello Sheba and good afternoon to you, Poppy and your hubby.
It’s a another hot day here, yesterday during the evening we had lots and lots of rain.
It made up several times for the days we only had thunder and didn’t get the rain.
Hubby is taking a nap, and I just had lunch. I started his lunch at 11:30 and he was hungry. By noon he was eating.
He had a long walk outside with the therapist, she came to release him from the in home therapy. The nurse also stopped by, everything seems to be good.

Good afternoon to you. I hope all is well with you and your family.
I can’t thank you enough for all your prayers. I do believe that’s what is making hubby recover and stronger each day.
Covid can work havoc on one’s respiratory system. Right now I must wear a mask going out and near people. Can’t afford for hubby getting sick. Anyone entering our home also needs to wear a mask.
Hopefully there will be a time no more masks wil be needed.

Thank you for remembering hubby’s birthday yesterday. How you were able to do that with everything that is going on is remarkable. I feel for your loss. It’s hard to lose a friend at any age, but a car accident, even harder. So unexpected and yet, when an illness strikes, no one is really ready for the inevitable.
And your BIL. I do hope and pray that he gets over this bout soon. I also hope and pray that your SIL can get some rest along with some good news. Both of them are in my thoughts and prayers.
Here’s hoping for a safe trip to California for Sis and to her next adventure before returning to PA. And with that, fingers and toes crossed that her flight isn’t cancelled. I know you wish she would return to PA, but, she must really love CA and her friends to make that decision a little hard for her now. I bet your mom feels the same way.

The Sacred Sisterhood
Only women can make the change in how women are seen, not just by other women but by the world at large.
As women embrace the fullness of who they are as individuals, they may find themselves supporting other women, helping others to reach the level of inner comfort and outer freedom that they themselves have found. Among those who are less sure of themselves and their place in the world, it may be more common to criticize other women than to seek their help. But there are things that a woman can only learn from another woman, as there are things about being a man that can only be learned from other men. We all recognize that we have much to learn from each other regardless of gender, but sometimes we could use a supportive role model that gives us a more precise example of what and who we can become.
There was a time where women stood together in a bond of sisterhood, women supporting women. It is only natural that the pendulum swings out of balance for a while so that we may have the experience of what we do not want. It is up to women to bring the pendulum back into balance and bring back the sacred sisterhood we yearn for at our core.
If we envision a world where women support each other and help each other find their place in an ever-changing world, then we can become the change we want to see. Jealousy, envy, criticism, and judgment are refuges for the insecure. As we help others to become self-assured, we create a world in which all people help each other, regardless of gender. Only women can make the change in how women are seen and understood, not just by other women but by the world at large. The way we speak about each other to other women and to the men in our lives informs everyone to treat us with the respect that all women, and all people, deserve. AMEN!✨😎✨

We had a quiet evening at home. We did venture out to Aldi’s. We will be celebrating after the surgery when, I hope, he starts feeling better. You really went way out and I told him that he has lots to read. For the most part, I was just as happy to be home rather than venturing out in this heat and humidity. Temp was over 90 and humidity !00%. You would think that some rain would fall and though the sky looked threatening at times, those rain clouds vamoosed and left the puffy whites in their wake.
Today, the sun was out in the morning and by noon the clouds started to meander into view. By 1 pm a soft rain began to fall and by 3pm darked clouds emerged. One clap of thunder is all it took for me to unplug the computer, turn the A.C off and then watch. At one point it seemed like we got a direct hit in front of the house, but thus far I do not see any damage. That streak seemed to hit our window and the thunder was very loud.
Well, it’s almost time for Trivia. I still need to take one more measurement for the outdoor rugs before putting in an order. Again, thank you for remembering hubby’s date. We will do something special and I mean real special after the surgery and when he is feeling better and able to walk and not be in bed all day. Again, thank you for the beautiful gallery.
