Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Natalie Imbruglia
“Come September”Her bones will ache
Her mouth will shake
And as the passion dies
Her magic heart will break
She’ll fly to France
‘Cause there’s no chance
No hope for Cinderella
Come September
Her violet sky
Will need to cry
‘Cause if it doesn’t rain
Then everything will die
She needs to heal
She needs to feel
Something more than tender
Come SeptemberEverything wrong
Gonna be all right
Come SeptemberThe souls that burn
Will twist and turn and
Find you in the dark
No matter where you run
But lost her spark
And what she’s pushing for
She can’t rememberEverything wrong
Gonna be all right
Come SeptemberHer eyes surrender
Her cry a crying shame
Coming undone
Is she ever gonna
Feel the same
She will run
She’s gona drink the sun
Shining just for you
Instead of everyone
And so it goes
She’ll stand alone
And try no to remember
Come SeptemberEverything wrong
Gonna be all right
Come September
She’s made her mark -

See You in September
Song by The HappeningsI’ll be alone each and every night
While you’re away, don’t forget to write
Bye-bye, so long, farewell
Bye-bye, so long
See you in September
See you when the summer’s through
Here we are (bye, baby, goodbye)
Saying goodbye at the station (bye, baby, goodbye)
Summer vacation (bye, baby bye, baby)
Is taking you away (bye, baby, goodbye)
Have a good time but remember
There is danger in the summer moon above
Will I see you in September
Or lose you to a summer love?
Bye, baby, goodbye
Bye, baby, goodbye
Bye, baby, goodbye (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
Bye, baby, goodbye (bye-bye, so long)
Have a good time but remember
There is danger in the summer moon above
Will I see you in September
Or lose you to a summer love?
See you (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
In September (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
I hope that I’ll see you (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
In September (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
Well, maybe I’ll see you (bye-bye, so long, farewell)

Wake Me Up When September Ends
Green DaySummer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father’s come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father’s come to pass
20 years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends -

September
Earth, Wind & FireDo you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin’ the minds of pretenders
While chasin’ the clouds away
Our hearts were ringin’
In the key that our souls were singin’
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away, oh, yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
Ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da
My thoughts are with you
Holdin’ hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love, remember
How we knew love was here to stay
Now December
Found the love that we shared in September
Only blue talk and love, remember
The true love we share today
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
The bell was ringin’, oh, oh
Our souls were singin’
Do you remember never a cloudy day? Yow
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), never was a cloudy day
And we’ll say
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya!
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya! -

Hi in Oz. Very exciting match last night, thrilled she won.😀 Hope she doesn’t get too tired out playing doubles tonight.
Mom is old school and needs to see the color/fabric and sit on it to see if it is firm/comfy, etc. I order her many simple household items online but not major furniture. And it saves me from have to send something large back. Six of one, half a dozen of another.😕
The story of Charlie is so touching, keep us current how he is doing.🐈🥰
The ‘burgh is hopping tonight – backyard brawl with college football, rib fest, soul food festival and Michael Buble’ concert. Beautiful day/night for it all.🌞👍😊

Travel Sensitivity
Ground yourself by honoring the rituals that are a part of your daily life, and you can alleviate the unease you experience while away from home.
The journeys we take are often as exhausting as they are exhilarating. The thrill we feel as we travel to a new environment may be undercut by our sensitivity to change, strange surroundings, and forced shifts in our usual habits. Air, road, and sea travel can be extremely taxing, and many people find sleeping soundly in a strange bed difficult. There are, however, numerous ways to take the stress out of both short voyages and lengthy sojourns. Since much of the comfort we feel in our day-to-day lives stems from the fact that we enjoy the regularity of routine, adapting your typical customs to correspond with your travel schedule can alleviate the unease you experience while away from your home. Likewise, when you ground yourself by honoring the rituals that are a part of your daily life, you’ll no longer feel like you’re out of your element.
If you find yourself disconcerted by the foreignness of your surroundings when traveling, packing a few reassuring items from your home in your luggage can help you stay balanced. Photographs of loved ones, a favorite tea or snack, soft slippers, or even your own pillow can soothe the rigors associated with travel by plane, car, train, and ship while en route. Holding a crystal, gemstone, talisman, or medicine bag in your hand during particularly stressful periods of travel can help you stay relaxed and alert. Items imbued with healing or calming energy can help you destress once you reach your destination. As you unpack your travel items, light a stick of sweet-smelling incense or bask in the glow of a meditation candle. You’ll gradually begin to feel more grounded and serene in your new location.
During the course of your journey, try not to forget to indulge in those activities that center you and sustain your emotional equilibrium. If you tend to sleep and wake at the same time each day, maintaining that schedule will ensure you stay strong and healthy. Taking time out of your travel agenda to write in a journal, meditate, do yoga, or walk can help you reconnect with yourself in an alien setting. However you restore your tranquility, your conscious choice to surround yourself with comforting possessions and focus on your well-being will make traveling a joy. Amen! ✨✨

Good afternoon in the beautiful ‘burgh. 😘✨🌹😎I hope this first day of September finds
you doing well. Lady I wish your mother could look online first than go to the store and see
if that is what she likes. There is a lot of walking in those huge furniture stores. I live near
not far from Nebraska Furniture Store and it is huge. I go online pick out what I want and I
have them delivery it to my home. ✨😎I have done this since Covid and a lot of stores were not open to the public. I can go in now
but I look on line first and mask up. 😜😎I hope your BIL continues to get better and I am so glad he had his grandchildren over for
his birthday. ✨🌹Will be watching the next US Open Tennis it’s not over until it’s over. ✨🌹

I did some researching today and ended up contacting our physician’s office. They recommend the same place hubby was sent to in Savannah. She mentioned that the doctor’s love the place and the patients seem to enjoy it as well. I then told her the story from last year. Briefly gave her the good and the bad along with the send off with one med for the evening. Of course, back then, hubby had no clue of time. He knew where he was, but that’s about it. He also had problems going to the bathroom because his knee would give way as soon as he stood. To get a nurse to come in to help him was almost non existent. They caught me trying to help and consequently they put an alarm in his wheelchair that would blast the entire area when he tried to move. Today we think it was so funny. A number of times I was able to unplug it and help hubby to the bathroom. I am also checking to see if there is another alternative that can be accomplished at home. I will wait to see what the case manager has in mind before doing anything.
Well, today, I decided to turn the A/C completely off. Around 3 pm I checked the temp and it was close to 90 in the house. Very uncomfortable. Put the A/C on and set the thermostat for 85. I’ve been changing it every couple of hours.
I made a stir fry tonight with rice. Used lamb, pork and shrimp with veggies. Grated some garlic and added some spices. Everything was delish. Hubby had seconds which was surprising. Need to go to the Farmer’s Market for veggies and fruit. However, will need to make a stop at Lowe’s. Our frig is on it’s last legs and I did some serious shopping on line. Just need to see the frig in person before making the final decision. No didn’t finish the outside. Too hot and the humidity was way up there (over 95 percent). No rain today. Maybe tomorrow.
