Good afternoon. No landscaper today and I was up before 7am with just a little over 3 hours of sleep so I could shower and be dressed before the arrival. No phone call either. I am hoping he is OK.

Tomorrow hubby has a pre surgery thing with the hospital. I am hoping that we will meet with a case manager to discuss what will happen following surgery next week. It really was a surprise to me that he will be in rehab from one to three weeks following. I surmise that I will have to pack a carry on bag to cover whatever is needed. Just do not know if they provide the medication or I do. That is my only question for now. As of today hubby is off all vitamins and is only taking his prescriptions. No aspirin until the day after surgery when that will go from one to two pills per day. Hopefully, I will have the answers on everything and then some.

Well, I just received an e-mail that the outdoor rugs will be delivered Friday. That notice gave me a sigh of relief. I was expecting everything the day of surgery. I showed hubby the two that I purchased and he hopes, as well as I, that they look as good in person as they do on-line. At least there is a return policy. Both rugs are between a 4.7 and 4.9 rating depending on which on line store you went to.

The kitchen is almost done. When the guys didn’t show I decided to get some shut eye. So nothing was accomplished. The kitchen is almost there. Still have one counter to empty and clean and then the breakfast bar. We did have rain while I slept and it seems I won’t have to water the plants today. Actually, I couldn’t even if I wanted to. Fridays are the only days we can use the water for outdoors. However, I do have a watering can in case they need it prior.

I just took something for the backache and that should help to get through the rest of the day.
You know, a thought just came to me. It seems that those who not only received the first dosage vaccinations for Covid, but the booster as well, are the ones coming down with that virus. You reminded me of that when you mentioned that your sister and her family have Covid again. I wonder what was in that booster. It’s just a thought. Hubby and I did not get the booster. My sinuses were really acting up and a cough to boot. I had asked our physician about
taking it or not taking. He was afraid with my allergies that I would end up in the hospital with a reaction. But now, with the new booster containing other strains, may be good to take.

Now, I have returned to kitchen duty. Have a great evening and hopefully within the next few weeks you will be on your way to see your family and, at that time, everyone is OK.

Hi Oodie, yes, we shopped ’til we dropped yesterday. We went to five different stores, narrowed it down and made a decision (I think) this morning. It was one of those shopping trips where mom had something in her mind that no one has made yet, lol!🤣

Hard to believe you are still at work cleaning. Too bad you’re not getting paid per piece or paper. I hope you don’t have all that work to do at your other homes. I get tired just reading what you’re doing. Hang in there! I hope the lanai turns out perfect.

Hi Sheba, glad you had a good holiday. Sorry about your sister and her family.😪 I have had three friends who recently got covid and are vaccinated and boosted. I don’t think this is ever going away. Just like the flu, there will always be a new variant. I hope we can get down to one shot a year like the flu shot.💉

By the time I got home yesterday my knees were crying.🦵🦵 Took mom to five furniture stores; we did not buy because mom wanted to go home and look at her room again but we narrowed it down to two chairs and by this morning decided on one. Maybe we can go back this weekend or next week to order since it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. I hope we can also find a new area rug at the same store.

I guess I am a good daughter.😊 One of the sales people yesterday whispered that I was making her emotional watching me and mom walking around the store because I was holding her hand. That’s just something natural that I do.💖

We’ve had a lot of rain over the last couple days, I am ready for some sun.🌞 Thanks for the pick-me-up, I need that today!🍷👍

Oodie hubby and I did get some good rest this weekend it was just a combination of

entire family have Covid-19. Sis is not a happy camper but she is fit and in her early 40’s.

As you know there is always something my sister and her entire family all have Covid-19
including my 5 year old nephew. I just hope my mom has not been exposed. My mother
has a health issue and she is 80 years old and fully vaxxed and boosted but so is my sister
and her family.
