Thank you for your kind thoughts I have every intention of getting to my family in
Colorado as all blood relatives are there. Hopefully they all will be over Covid-19.

I did make plans to go during labor my husband lost his Uncle in Florida. This was his
father’s brother and his cousin had the body flown to Kansas where he had a Military
Burial. Lady the way the two officers folded the American Flag was just beautiful.
Uncle Bill went home we expected it but not so soon this is what I have been holding in.
My husband took it hard took a day off work and we were with family who lives here and who
flown in from Georgia they are from OZ. Hubby Uncle retired to Florida and his two children
who are certified teachers in Georgia moved there from OZ. Well that put a damper on
things and then my mother and the rest of the family caught Covid-19 my sister was off
work for two weeks. I had FaceTime on all family members and believe me they did not
feel like talking. So much has happened in September. So we will plan the trip again.

Come what may I will get to Colorado. Lady my husband was very close to his Uncle and this broke his heart.

My bags are ready hey let’s toast to our mothers and the love they give to us.

Just keep your wits and know how about you I hate this storm. I am watching the weather
channel and other news as well and this thing is no joke.

I am saying prayers for all in Florida and if it takes a sudden turn back into the Ocean
I hope for that too.

We are definitely watching the tropics. Could be a direct hit between Sarasota and Tampa. We are at least a 20 minute drive to the Gulf, but that’s not the mileage. I would say we are about 10 miles East and the long drive is due to traffic and the stop lights. The last hurricane to hit our area was a few years ago. We were on the Cape when it hit and received an e-mail showing that our siding in the front was off in some places. Luckily we have a friend who was able to tie everything together so it wouldn’t blow away. Our new neighbor across the way was able to put it back in place. He’s a contractor and right now is in Kentucky at his other home.

The storm is at least 4 or 5 days away. Still not sure if we will ride it out or head North. The storm is about 400 miles wide which could be a menace to the entire State. My thinking right now is if we leave and head North, we would need to be away from the Gulf and also I-95. and to be on the road by early Monday morning. I will keep you posted.

Another busy Friday – took mom to her church so she could schedule masses for the deceased family members. Then we went grocery shopping and to the hair salon. Did a few small cleaning chores at her house.

Today I got my flu shot and ran to get my mom a new accent pillow for her chair. Gorgeous day but more rain coming tonight/tomorrow. Trying to plan a get together with our best friends in the coming weeks at my house.

I sure hope you see your mom soon, it has been so very long. I don’t think me and mom could be away from each other for years. Life is too short, get there my friend! Thinking of you and the family and George. Sending love to all.

Good afternoon Oodie, I am keeping an eye on the storm and I am sure you are too.
Right now we can’t take any changes. So I am washing everything and moving whatever may fly away outside out of the way.
Yesterday hubby drove for the first time since his surgery, went to get a haircut.
Husband hasn’t started work yet, he will do so this Monday. Monday he will go back to work in Orlando. Then he will start his new position in October after the holiday, and that will be in Tampa.
Right now I’m helping him cook, later we will be going out and celebrate a little.

Good afternoon Sheba, a beautiful Saturday with puffy white clouds in the sky here today. Thank you for your wishes of congratulations. Hubby and I want to say we are thankful for all your prayers and well wishes.
We are both in the kitchen cooking away his meals for the coming week. As he starts his work week, he will need to take all his lunches and have his dinners ready as he comes homes. All I will need to do is heat the dinners.
Later we are going out and have a little fun celebrating our anniversary.
I am keeping an eye on the storm, and to see if I will need to clear my plants and vases from the back of the house that faces West.
