I feel for you. I know the feeling of losing a family member that you are close to. I lost a great uncle and though he lived thousands of miles away, we kept in touch. He’s be gone for many years now and I still miss him terribly. Then there was my mom’s only brother who kept tabs on both of us (I am referring to not only myself, but hubby as well). He lived about 10 minutes from my mom’s home. There were six sisters and one brother. The cousins were close as we were growing up, but starting with college things changed. Most moved to other States. We do keep tabs on one another, but have not been together in years. Just relish the time you have with them. I would definitely make plans for a trip to Colorado., but do give some time for the family to recover from Covid. It does take a while for that energy to return. But go before winter sets in.

Happy Anniversary. Wow, you really have a lot to celebrate this year. So kick up those heels and enjoy the weekend and may you both have good health so you can celebrate many many more.
Wish your hubby well as he returns to work on Monday. Don’t be surprised if he is home a little early. That’s a long day for the first day back following surgery and recuperation. Tell him not to overdo the first week. Energy will gradually return.

We have not made any plans as yet what we will do. I surmise we will not be travelling North. The hurricane seems to be moving further West which could mean that points South may be on the fringe. If that’s the case we may head South and make it a mini vacation. Would love nothing better than to walk the beach and see what seashells I can find. Though the entire State is under a warning, I am looking also at a possible drive 30-50 miles West. I suspect they will get some form of the hurricane but probably not as much as the Gulf areas. But, as you can tell, we will keep vacillating until we obtain more info. Meanwhile stay safe.

I remember you mentioning the funeral for the uncle. I also remember the folding of the flag for my dad. It is so emotional. I wish you happy days ahead – love you.💗🌹
