Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sarah Cannon was a television and radio personality, known worldwide for her Grand Ole Opry character “Minnie Pearl.” After receiving treatment for breast cancer at our founding center in Nashville, she offered the use of her given name to promote cancer research and patient education with a vision of offering patients convenient access to early detection, clinical trials and a team approach to cancer care. The Sarah Cannon Story
Since 1993, Sarah Cannon has taken many first steps in the fight against cancer, beginning with clinical research. With the focus of offering patients greater access to clinical trials at the earliest phases, our founders established the first community-based cancer research program and four years later, formed the first drug development program outside of an academic setting.
Formally named Sarah Cannon Research Institute in 2004, its offerings expanded into communities across the United States and United Kingdom to form one of the largest patient-centric clinical trial organizations in the world conducting drug development at all phases, including first-in-human studies.
The expansion included establishing the first clinical trials program in the United Kingdom outside of the NHS, as well as the first private molecular profiling laboratory. Through its global expertise and reach, Sarah Cannon has been instrumental in advancing therapies for patients through new drug approvals for more than two decades.
Sarah Cannon has grown to become the Cancer Institute of HCA, committed to addressing every aspect of care from diagnosis through survivorship. Today, it comprises a network of partnering hospitals offering state-of-the-art cancer care close to home for hundreds of thousands of patients, a number unmatched by any single cancer center.
This is where I had my breast cancer treatment and I love ringing the bell. 😎✨
I am a Tennessee Native and to one Tennessee Native thank you. 💕🌹

@Sheba🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁
🍁🍁
Hello Sheba, I hope your day is going well. It’s your favorite time of the year and I hope you are having a good time enjoying it.
I read about your journey with breast cancer. I am sorry you had to walk into that hospital by yourself because of Covid-19. Those are the times our Guardian Angel is with us and guiding us.
I too don’t want to see another hurricane, but living in Florida that is quite impossible.
The weather here is starting to get a bit cooler, that is, not so much humidity.
But I am not looking forward to the cold days that comes with Winter, even here in Florida.
Take care Sheba 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 -
With all you have going on, bless you for thinking of me, mom and sis. You are unbelievably kind and I pray you are able to quickly get your repairs handled.💗🙏

Great outcome last night, I was very surprised they were able to play in Tampa.
This week should be a little less crazy.🤪 We took mom for a late lunch yesterday so I have leftovers for dinner today. Did some odds and ends cleaning around the house. Very happy we heard from Oodie, one big sigh of relief.😔 Still a little tired so taking it easy the rest of the day.🥱
Sending hugs to the fur babies from Jake.🤗🐶🐈

I left a note to everyone in the last Trivia post. Sanibel did a great job.
The one thing I noticed with this hurricane is that you lose the time frame. The day is extremely long especially when you have no electricity and the computer is down and unplugged.
I contacted our insurance company this morning and I should hear from someone within a week. I was told not to contact anyone until the adjustor is here and determines what else may be needed. The adjustor will also take pictures. His/hers will be outside and indoors. The den is no longer safe. Water must have formed between the siding and the wood so when you touch the wall you can literally feel movement. I know the cable and Tv were soaked, so we will need a replacement. Thankfully, the sales will be starting soon. I cannot contact Spectrum until everything is completed and they can enter here without a problem. The new rugs are still rolled in the plastic and they were in an area that remained dry. I cannot wait until they can be unraveled and placed on the lanai floor. The furniture on the lanai is unscathed. Even the glass
table remained OK. How the settee made it to the center of the lanai is still a question when it was against the wall. The North to South wind should have kept it in place. I uncovered the wooden furniture and they are good. These were in the den and were completed drenched on all sides. Even the chairs were wet along with the fabric seats. These are in good shape as well. No stains. So many tiny miracles brings a smile to one’s face. I just completed looking at the devastation in Ft. Myers. That was one of the areas I really wanted to move to and almost stayed prior to the hurricane. That was when all eyes were on Tampa just days prior. The last bit of news was that the storm had changed direction and there would be no storm surge. Those were the famous last words. We now know differently. And speaking of Tampa, so glad to hear that Merced made it through safely. But, I wonder how the other hosts made out with this storm. Many lived near the Gulf. Hope all are OK. Hubby and I dodged a bullet. We will always thankful for the prayers and that the powers above answered. Well, the Farmer’s Market opened this afternoon. We are literally out of fresh vegetables and fruit. Thank goodness for Costco. They kept us well fed for the time we were without electricity. So important to stock up prior to a storm. And, xango’s idea of putting bottled water in the freezer was a great idea. I actually made ice days in advance. The frig stayed cool and kept the food in the freezer solid. Nothing had to be thrown. Well, now to get ready to go out and have a little bit of fun. -
You are right about that! OMG. LOL! 😜😜
I did make you a posting spot just below I know you don’t post a lot I enjoy your company. ✨😎

Good afternoon. Upon reading this, I’m so glad you are better now., and yes, I do hope all will get tested every year, I do. Cancer has no age limit in whom it may appear. Can show up at any time
Sheba, on a lighter note: If you don’t already have, in your collection of pictures, Google the Snapdragon Flower Seed Pods, the pods look just like skulls, “for Halloween”.
Hope you and all have a much-needed day of peace.

Mountains
From the top of a mountain, we are able to witness life from a different perspective bringing us a new awareness.
Mountains have always captured our imaginations, calling us to scale their heights, to circle and worship at their feet, and to pay homage to their greatness. Mountains can be seen from thousands of miles away, and if we are lucky enough to be on top of one, we can see great stretches of the surrounding earth. As a result, mountains symbolize vision, and the ability to rise above the adjacent lowlands and see beyond our immediate vicinity. From the top of the mountain, we are able to witness life from a new perspective — cities and towns that seem large when we are in them look tiny. We can take the whole thing in with a single glance, which helps us remember how big this world truly is.
Mountains are almost always considered holy and spiritual places, and the energy at the top of a mountain is undeniably unique. When we are on top of a mountain, it is as if we have ascended to an alternate realm, one in which the air is purer and the energy lighter. Many people have climbed to the top of a mountain in order to connect with a higher source of understanding, and many have come back down feeling stronger and wiser. Whenever we are feeling trapped or limited in our vision, a trip to the nearest mountain may be just the cure we need.
There’s a reason that mountain views are so highly prized in this world, and it is because, even from a distance, mountains remind us of how small we are, which often comes as a wonderful relief. They also illustrate our ability to connect with higher energy. As they rise up from the earth, sometimes disappearing in the clouds that gather around them, they are a visual symbol of the earth reaching up into the heavens. Whether we have a mountain view out of our window or just a photograph of a mountain where we see it every day, we can rely on these earthly giants to provide inspiration, vision, and a daily reminder of our humble place in the grand scheme of life. AMEN! ✨✨🌹
