Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@sheba2011:
I just heard some sad news – Irene Cara has passed away. Only 63. They aren’t giving a reason for the cause of death yet. Back in the day I watched ‘Fame’. And ‘Flashdance’ was one of my favorite movies back in my dancing days.
RIP, Irene Cara.😢 Gone too soon.. -
@sheba2011:
Thanksgiving was very good. In MD this year. Eight peeps & 3 kit-cats. Seemed like more peeps though due to face-timing peeps in other states!😊 -
Hi. I just wanted to let you know that not a day goes by that I do not think of you and your hubby. I know the holidays are not easy, but try to enjoy whatever you can. I miss hearing from you and laughing at some of the kitty things that always make me laugh or cry. Please say Hi whenever you can. Just wanted to let you know that you are missed. Take care and stay safe.

I think if this was your first time abroad, three weeks may have been ample. Next time you decide, add on another week or so. But remember, the adventure may be tiring. But, there is always something to make you smile and laugh.
I didn’t do a turkey this year because of the preservatives in a frozen turkey. Though there some places to purchase exactly what I wanted decided to forego the t urkey and have a chicken instead. Being lazy, picked up a chicken at Costco and I have to say it is delicious. However, I did miss roasting one. The recipe for my turkey is relatively easy. After taking it out of the wrapping, I remove the plastic thing keeping the legs together. This is the only hassle. Rinse the turkey inside and out then put it stomach down on the holder in the pan. I use a little olive oil on the top and do the same in the two cavities along with garlic. On the top I use my spices and sprinkle on the back of the legs and wings. I also use aluminum foil for the legs to keep the meat in place. The oven is at 400 degrees. After about an hour and a half to an hour and forty minutes, I bring the pan to the top of the oven door. Taking two prongs I flip the turkey over and proceed as I did prior. Put the turkey (I mean slide the turkey back into the oven and bake for another hour and a half to an hour and forty minutes. You can tell when the turkey is done because the wings are rather loose. This goes for any turkey that is 15 lbs and over. It takes less time to cook and it is juicy.
For stuffing I usually use Pepperidge Farms. Follow the directions on the package. I usually add carrots, bok choy, mushrooms, chestnuts or walnuts, onion, and whatever veggie that looks good. I do not add spices since the veggies will induce a sweet flavor. And yes, I do add it to the turkey prior to putting it into the oven belly down. The recipe for the turkey came from an aunt who cooked for her brood and hubby. Brood included eight adults and their children and great grand children (another nine). She always bought a 25-30 lb turkey and it would take the same amount of time as I stated above.

What a sweet neighbor very thoughtful and heartfelt. 🌹✨
I am so glad someone did something for you. I hope your husband feels better soon.
You have a lot of things going on so one day at a time. Glad my labs are over. 😘
Trivia was fun tonight. ✨😘

Good evening and yeah I am a little bit tired and I have the sinus issue going on.
I did get the labs done so that is over I will await the results next week. 😎✨Xango thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes I enjoy reading them and I
will try a few. 😘🌹✨Our Thanksgiving was nice but we all had loved ones who are no longer here on our
mind. Our niece from Springfield, MO drove done and spent some time with us.
This is the niece who is my husband’s brother’s child she attends school in Springfield.
Xango her father passed around this time last year so this one was bittersweet. Of course
I miss my father this is only my second Thanksgiving without him. 💕🌹Hubby has been enjoying the day after I had my labs drawn I went into a grocery store
here in Kansas and I brought a large bag of Cat Food. I told the clerk I have 3 cats I take
care of and that is not counting Charlie. The clerk turned to me and said thank you for taking
care of the cats and all the people behind me thanked me too. I did not think anyone heard
our conservation. I am glad to see people do care about animals we are outdoors. ✨Hey you enjoy your evening this week we work on the Christmas Tree and I have a beautiful
tree it does take time to trim. 😘🌹 -
Shoelady, hello and glad you had a good Thanksgiving at your Mom’s. Great you got some cards out. I may skip the cards this year. But then again, I have lots of pictures so maybe I will wait a few weeks and see.

Oodie, Hello and thanks for the post. You have some wonderful neighbors bringing some food over to you and hubby. Florida traffic sounds intense. Yes, you are correct everywhere we went was a lot of walking, even taking the subways and trains, because those all had a lot of steps and platforms. Happy to get all my steps in without much effort and it was fun.
