Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

A good question on the surgery. Hubby thinks it is a repair. I’m not sure. He has a notebook with everything he needs and a website within the hospital that explains the surgery. He left that in the van and I will play fetch in the morning. I like what you said about the physical therapy. He has not been back there in over a week. I have a phone call into the physician’s office and hopefully I will know better when I speak with his assistant. She never returned my call this afternoon. Also, thanks for the heads up on the surgery. You are the second person who said that was the best decision. I will keep everyone updated.
For your info also, we are cold in Florida. By your standards it would be welcomed. It’s in the 60s and it is so spring like. I have no idea what the temps will be tonight. I assume in the 50s but will check the weather later so I know for the outdoor plants.
Tonight the Kenney Center Awards will be televised on CBS at 9 pm.

Good afternoon in Oz. Never left the house today, it is cold and I’m running low on energy.🥶 Couldn’t have left anyway because a truck was in my driveway grinding stumps of trees🌲 we took out. I will be out early tomorrow morning for the last couple things to pick up.
Stay warm – btw, what is Santa bringing Poppy?🎅 I know, for sure, he’s been a good boy🐶💗!

What kind of surgery is your husband having, knee replacement or repair? My husband had knee replacement seven years ago and he says it’s one of the best things he’s ever done. You do have to be diligent with all the physical therapy so everything moves right and doesn’t freeze. This will be my next trip to the hospital one of these days. Tell him he will be a happy camper when done.

I second what Sheba just mentioned. Though this is not the first holiday without your mom, it is one of the hardest. Just do what you can. Remember the good times, the smiles and the hugs. These will last a lifetime and more. Do what is best for YOU and the rest will follow suit. Take care Taci. Most of all a Merry Christmas to you and your family and remember to stay safe.

I have now been able to reschedule my Mam for the beginning of January and will work after that date for the booster. It will be good to get things done and over with.
Hubby had an appointment with the Orthopedics’ assistant. Since the shot didn’t work at all and he is in a great deal of pain, surgery is the next best thing. He is tentatively scheduled the last day of February but that can change. I did have a concern about his heart and the next best thing is to find a cardiologist which I have begun to research. I also left word for our physician’s office to contact us for other questions and concerns. Also, it looks like we will not be able to travel North before the middle of April and because of the upcoming holidays of Passover and Easter, guess it will be May before we head out. Geez……….The customary wait time following surgery is at least 6 weeks. That’s the second week of April. YIKES!!!!!!!! The one thing I have no real patience for is being in a parking lot on the Interstate due to construction and accidents and having hotel rates double or triple in price before and during the holidays.
On the other hand, let this be the worse of my concerns. Our temps are in the high 60s today. I suspect we will be in the 50s tonight, but will listen to a forecast to be sure. The sun is out and I am a happy camper. There was a tornado but that was further South of us. No injuries were reported and that is a good thing.
Please take it easy today. Do a little at a time and it will get done. Just do not rush. 🎄🎄🧡

Buon Natale Sheba 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
It’s a sunny 63 degrees day and very windy. The temperature is going into the forties tonight. I hope you are keeping warm. The Panettones turned out delicious and beautiful. Next year I will soak the raisins in cognac again, they turned out really good, moist and plump.
Today is cookie day, baking a few. Wishing you and your husband a great Christmas week.
Take care Sheba 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 -
Perception
A simple shift in attitude can help us recognize the hidden potential for fulfillment in every event.
There is no secret recipe for happiness and contentment. The individuals who move through life joyously have not necessarily been blessed with lives of abundance, love, success, and prosperity. Such people have, however, been blessed with the ability to take the circumstances they’ve been handed and make them into something great. Our individual realities are colored by perception — delight and despair come from within rather than without. Situations we regard as fortuitous please us while situations we judge inauspicious cause us no end of grief. Yet if we can look at all we have accomplished without dwelling on our perceived misfortune and make each new circumstance our own, the world as a whole becomes a brighter place. A simple shift in attitude can help us recognize and unearth the hidden potential for personal and outer world fulfillment in every event, every relationship, every duty, and every setback.
The universe is often an unpredictable and chaotic place, and the human tendency is to focus on the negative and assume the positive will care for itself. But life can be no more or no less than what you make of it. If you are working in a job you dislike, you can concentrate on the positive aspects of the position and approach your work with gusto. What can you do with this job that can turn it around so you do love it? When faced with the prospect of undertaking a task you fear, you can view it as an opportunity to discover what you are truly capable of doing. Similarly, unexpected events, when viewed as surprises, can add flavor to your existence. By choosing to love life no matter what crosses your path, you can create an atmosphere of jubilance that is wonderfully infectious. A change in perspective is all it takes to change your world, but you must be willing to adopt an optimistic, hopeful mind-set.
To make a conscious decision to be happy is not enough. You must learn to observe life’s complexities through the eyes of a child seeing everything for the first time. You must furthermore divest yourself of preconceived notions of what is good and what is bad so that you can appreciate the rich insights concealed in each stage of your life’s journey. And you must strive to discover the dual joys of wanting what you have. As you gradually shift your perspective, your existence will be imbued with happiness and contentment that will remain with you forever. ✨✨✨✨✨
