Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, my thoughts exactly about Xango and her symptoms. Apparently once we get a bit older this is a common thing. Its symptons also can vary widely. I know you went through it and so did my husband. His took over a year to diagnose.
Best wishes for your cousin in a coma. What a tragedy and the loss of her husband is just so sad.
I did get a walk in with a friend who I haven’t walked with since the end of Dec. It was great to walk in between the rain storms. We are supposed to get a big storm tonight but I think it will be further North. -

Hi Oodie, thanks for your post. How are you feeling? And your husband?
I am sorry about your allergic attack, I am glad you had your meds. I hope by the time you read this you are feeling better.
I am also glad you found your keys. Do you have more than one set of all your keys, house and car? Perhaps it’s a good idea to have two or three sets.
Good to read the roofer will be coming by, and start the process.I am very certain it was not food poison, it was definitely heartburn. I used to get them often, it would last about nine hours. It’s been a long time since I had one, still lived in Jacksonville the last time.
However this one made itself at home in my body and didn’t want to leave. It lasted over 24 hours. I normally take an Alka-Seltzer for heartburn as soon as it starts, however this time didn’t work.
It was a combination of what I eat and drinked Friday and Saturday morning. Friday morning I had my usual, coffee with milk, bread and butter. Then I started cooking and baking, later I had three plain beef hotdogs (just the meat, no bread) and a pear. Later in the afternoon, I made me a strong cup of tea, a medicinal tea and Aniseeds together. That could have been to strong and lots of acid.Continued baking and doing the preparation for the new year. Around 8PM I opened the Wine, allowed it to breath some. Fried the Pastels, even made two for hubby. Since its wrapped up in dough he could only have two small ones. Grabbed some sparkling water, the wine, the cheese crackers (two kinds) and the pastels. Took all to the TV room to watch Dick Clark’s Rockin New Year’s Rockin Eve.
Started eating a little here, a little there, taking tiny sips of the wine and drinking water.
I didn’t even finished a large glass of wine, I think I had about 3/4 of the large glass.
After midnight I had a couple of Madeline’s. The next day, coffee and madeleines, about four little cookies. After that the heartburn started.
Going to contact my doctor tomorrow. See what he can prescribe me. It’s still not all gone. My whole chest from the collar bones to my stomach are sor, it hurts when I cough or laugh as if it was pounded from inside.
Take care Oodie. -

As your friend I am advising you to go see your Physician. I suspect it may be your
Gall Bladder if you still have one. I went through Hades and back with a emergency
gall bladder removal but I would let your doctor know everything you are going through.Thank you for your prayers my cousin was awake long enough to hear her husband did not
make it. The doctors are sedating her as she has a lot of body trauma.Thank your family in Brazil prayers really helps. I have been praying since I found out.
Now you need to get taken care of if you need to come in I am sure the doctor will let
you know. Please keep me posted. 🌹 I am sure all the ladies on this thread would like
to know how things are going. Xango get some good rest too. 💕 -

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, I hope you were able to get some sleep and rest. I have contacted Brazil, asked my cousin and her prayer group for prayers.
Last night I said a special prayer to Saint Anthony, asking him to find a way to bring your cousin out of her coma once her body has recuperate. It seems no matter what I eat, it doesn’t help. I not eating a whole lot, not filling the stomach. Tried to have a little soup. Then I eat a piece of bread. Today I made a plain potato soup. That did sit well. The only food that seems to feel good is oatmeal. And I don’t like it all that much.
I get hungry faster, the pain starts in the stomach and moves back to the chest. Not as painful or intense as having a full blown heartburn.
I guess I will have to get in touch with my doctor and see what I can take to fix this thing……I hate getting old.Sending prayers for you and your cousin, may she come out of her coma and get well.
Take care Sheba.Take care Sheba

Another warm, rainy day here. Temps will start falling tomorrow and will be in the 30’s for the weekend. Still thinking of your cousin and saying prayers for her and you.🙏 Just can’t imagine what she is and will be going through.😥
Hockey team out west so I won’t see much since the games will be starting here between 9:30-10:30. Probably just catch the first period.😴 Maybe that’s a good thing,😝 Not that important in the scope of things.
So happy Charlie is doing so well.😊 Blowing kisses back to you, Poppy and Charlie.🥰💗

Funny you should ask about our roofer. Well, he just phoned and will be stopping by to take more pictures and another look. Pending no rain and no cold we are looking at either sometime towards the end of next week or the following. I don’t mind when, just as long as I get a new roof along with the other repairs.
Meanwhile, this is not a good day for me. I had a real bad allergy attack that included hives and the entire inside of my mouth including the front area of the tongue. I haven’t had this type of reaction in years. Two Benedryl and one chlortab . Feeling like a zombie. What caused it. A new interdental toothbrush that I picked up at Costco. Funny I used it the other night with no problem. Used it again last night no problem until I started itching. It’s all plastic and I am wondering if there is a sulfite hidden in there. I will look at the ingredients again. Must have missed something.
Sorry that your cousin is still in a coma. Just tell your family to speak to her at all times. Touching her hand is a good idea. Asking her to move a finger or toe is also good as long as she didn’t break the limb. Hopefully, she will come out of it in a few days. I am sure that the doctors and nurses are doing all kinds of tests. There may be some answers soon. Hang in t here. Prayers are being sent from our home to yours.

Birds Fly in a V
Like birds flying in a “V,” when we feel the presence of others moving along side of us, there is little we cannot accomplish.
As they swoop, drift, and glide, inscribing magnificent patterns across the sky, birds are serene displays of grace and beauty. Long a source of inspiration, birds can be messengers from the spirit realm, or a symbol of the human soul, as they cast off their earthly mooring and soar heavenward. An upturned wing, a graceful flutter, all so effortless and free… More magnificent still is the inspiring sight of birds migrating, progressing steadily across the horizon in a solid V formation that is a singular pattern too unique to be mere chance.
Pushing steadily forward, this aerodynamic V reduces air resistance for the whole flock. With wings moving in harmony, the feathered group continues its course across the sky, covering more ground together in community than as individuals. When the bird at the front gets tired, she will move to the rear of the formation where the wind drag is lowest, and a more rested bird can take her place.
By learning from the example of our winged guides, all of us can feel empowered to take on daring challenges as we chart adventurous courses. Feel the strength of others moving alongside you, as their presence lends power to your wings during this journey across the sky of life. When buffeted by unexpected gusts, we can choose to find refuge in the loving shelter of friends and family. We may even marvel as an otherwise difficult day passes by like a swift wind, as a kindred spirit charts a way for us through the clouds and rain ahead. If your wings begin to ache on your journey, look around for somebody else to fly at the front for a while. All of us move faster when we move together. Let your ego drop earthwards as we all soar ever higher.
AMEN! ✨✨
