Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Butterfly
Mariah CareyWhen you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It’s easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imagined I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open up my hands
And watch you rise
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And I truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you’re
Ready to land
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly, butterfly
I can’t pretend these tears
Aren’t over flowing steadily
I can’t prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye
For you’ll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Fly
Spread your wings and fly

Self Control
Song by Laura BraniganOh, the night is my world
City light painted girl
In the day nothing matters
It’s the night time that flatters
In the night, no control
Through the wall something’s breaking
Wearing white as you’re walkin’
Down the street of my soul
You take my self, you take my self control
You got me livin’ only for the night
Before the morning comes, the story’s told
You take my self, you take my self control
Another night, another day goes by
I never stop myself to wonder why
You help me to forget to play my role
You take my self, you take my self control
I, I live among the creatures of the night
I haven’t got the will to try and fight
Against a new tomorrow, so I guess I’ll just believe it
That tomorrow never comes
A safe night, I’m living in the forest of my dream
I know the night is not as it would seem
I must believe in something, so I’ll make myself believe it
That this night will never go
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
Oh, the night is my world
City light painted girl
In the day nothing matters
It’s the night time that flatters
I, I live among the creatures of the night
I haven’t got the will to try and fight
Against a new tomorrow, so I guess I’ll just believe it
That tomorrow never knows
A safe night, I’m living in the forest of a dream
I know the night is not as it would seem
I must believe in something, so I’ll make myself believe it
That this night will never go
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
You take my self, you take my self control
You take my self, you take my self control
You take my self, you take my self control … -

You are making me so tired with all your cleaning and projects. I think you are the bionic woman.🏋️♀️ You definitely need a break and a little fun. Keep an eye on hubby so you will be able to go north. Before you know it, it will be winter and I don’t think you want to be north in the snow and ice. If you can leave in July, that should give you enough time (hopefully) to handle things and get back to Florida. I can’t wait to hear you say you are relaxing reading a book!😊📘

I am doing the cleaning in sections, since it is mainly my hands doing the work. When I finish a section I do take time for myself and then go on to the next. My dining room looks like a cyclone hit it, but that is the area I am using for staging. In other words these are the items returning to the North and some do go back and forth. During the process I am still looking for the misplaced ring.
Because of my cousin’s death and the memorial for my dad on his birthday, I didn’t get the work done. So, we cancelled our reservations for this week and made it for the following. Weather permitting, we should be at the first house on the 11th. Unfortunately, Comcast did us a number during the pandemic while we were on a vacation stop. Consequently, I had to contact the one person I knew to help me with the payments I owed. One thing I have to say is that the customer service staff I spoke with did a great job entering my concerns from April through August. Because of this my statements for payments were less. We were also able to
turn all equipment off permanently. And of course, this means no TV, no phone, and no wifi. The one thing we will definitely do is return the equipment to Comcast and pick up what we need. Not sure if we will be able to connect everything ourselves. May have their technician do what is necessary. Also, we have to do the same on Cape. Before leaving, we will return everything. The hotels/motels do have free wifi, but I only do jigsaw puzzles or read a book on Kindle. Had experiences where people within the hotel can see what I’m doing, so have resorted to no personal business which includes shopping. I do have good virus software, but still refuse to take any chances. Hope you understand.
Hubby will be doing the driving while I keep my eyes on the road and give directions. Yes, we do have a GPS. Yes, I do drive. However, I have never driven the van. I am used to a compact hatchback. If I still had that vehicle we would be using that for the return. Everything would fit perfectly. I have a small sedan which will remain in Florida. I am hoping that we can move quickly on the house we want to sell. We are arriving two months later, so the time we have will be limited . We also need a new garage door on the Cape. So, another area will need to be cleaned. I do not relish the idea of remaining on Cape during the winter, but we may have to bite the bullet. There’s tons to do before we can even think of the return. However, one good thing is that I do have a time limit, so maybe, just maybe, things can fall into place. On Cape, my good friend and neighbor will probably be knocking on the door to help.

This song is for my father he came to me all week as a butterfly. 💕❤😘
Even after the storm this morning.Elusive Butterfly
Song by Bob LindYou might wake up some mornin’
To the sound of something moving past your window in the wind
And if you’re quick enough to rise
You’ll catch a fleeting glimpse of someone’s fading shadow
Out on the new horizon
You may see the floating motion of a distant pair of wings
And if the sleep has left your ears
You might hear footsteps running through an open meadow
Don’t be concerned, it will not harm you
It’s only me pursuing somethin’ I’m not sure of
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love
You might have heard my footsteps
Echo softly in the distance through the canyons of your mind
I might have even called your name
As I ran searching after something to believe in
You might have seen me runnin’
Through the long-abandoned ruins of the dreams you left behind
If you remember something there
That glided past you followed close by heavy breathin’
Don’t be concerned, it will not harm you
It’s only me pursuing somethin’ I’m not sure of
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love
Across my dreams with nets of wonder
I chase the bright elusive butterfly of love -
Strong Woman
What makes a woman confident is her ability to call upon her feminine wisdom.
So often in our world we tend to think of strength as a quality that arises from a place of firm determination and a will to succeed no matter the cost. Even though we might want to think of a strong woman as being defined in this way, what really makes a woman confident is her capacity for listening to her true self and being able to call upon her feminine wisdom to any situation that may arise. A woman does not need to step into an assertive role or act like a man in order to be effective at what she does — she simply needs to get in touch with her insight and sense of compassion to truly demonstrate the depth of her strength.
Listening to the feminine side of ourselves may not seem easy at first for this type of energy is something that is often overlooked in many aspects of our everyday lives. If we can connect with this part of who we are, however, we will find that there is an unlimited wellspring of strength available to us. Our capacity to tap into our intuition and listen to our inner guides, to take into account the needs of those around us, and to view a situation with compassion and love are ways that we can show the world the true power that is part of our feminine nature. When we learn to integrate this source of strength into our daily tasks and decision-making, we will find that we can be more flexible and open to the things that happen around us and more receptive to new ideas. Not only will we see the world in a different light, but we will truly start to realize the potential for this form of energy to both empower ourselves and those around us.
As we cultivate our feminine energy we can redefine the meaning of strength. By embracing our feminine power as something that is strong in its own right, we are able to use it with true assurance and determination and draw upon what truly belongs to us. AMEN! 😘😎💕🌹
