Met a quirky guy on the peak today. He was in flip flops with a toe ring, polished toenails, and a braid of hair all the way down his back. We chatted for a while. In case I didn’t tell you, I am a nerd magnet. Yup, can’t help it. haha. The new trail has more people and no critters so far.
We had a nice cool day.

I was very happy with the restaurant pick this year for Christmas Eve.
Finally! It was a well controlled full restaurant, with lots of staff and good food.
Been back to hiking, just from a different entry point. It’s a busier entry point with dog walkers, casual bikers and runners. It’s going to work out fine as I have a revised loop and it’s still partially the same. Hopefully I wont run into the critters on the busier side.
Hope Oodie’s Husband got to play the piano.

Oodie, Costco seems to be the happening place. I can’t get over the full parking lots and store full of families. This is what the Malls used to look like back in the day.
If your hubs plays piano; you might want to use your phone and video it. It will be fun to look at and replay.

Sheba, Hello! We had rain last night and the night before. It rained hard for a short period of time and there was lightning too. We were lucky that the daylight hours were a mix of sunny and cloudy.
Christmas Eve is almost here and I am drawing a blank. Maybe we will dine-in with take away or go somewhere locally. Ideally I would find a place with food and music. I would also like to drive around and look at the lights. My son is off from work both days.
Hope you have lots of fun with your gathering. Do people where you live put up a lot of lights? Is your neighbor having a party or is that a New Year’s Party?
Got to check out a friend’s new remodel of her Kitchen, floors and lighting this afternoon. It was all original, at least 40 years old and a water leak is what started all of it. It looks so fresh and modern and airy. They did a great job. Took about 5-6 months. It was a lot to deal with it does look great.
You have so much loss at this time of year. It is sad to think of those who left us and those we miss. I know you will be thinking about them, especially your Father. How is the relative who is in hospice doing?

Sheba, Hello. the gym would mainly be for winter with these short days. Like you, I love being outside.
The black out curtains are for the loft upstairs. We replaced the sliding glass doors (years ago) and the new door’s windows have the blinds inside. We did this downstairs and in our bedroom as well. Apparently light gets through it enough to reflect off computers and effect sleep.
My son, on his own, without my knowledge bought 3 stand alone screens to put in front and they don’t work at all plus they take up space, wobble and are an eyesore. Good try though. So, I bought these removable curtains and put them on the sliding glass door windows. The loft also has a smaller round window that the sun shines through, and a cut out. The hall light downstairs is just below the cutout and adds light upstairs. Now I guess we will have a dark room. All removable so we can adjust as needed.

Sheba, Yay! Glad all is well. Time to go out and have some fun!
We have clouds and a little bit of drops, not much. I don’t know if we will get more in the next day or so. I think I am going to give a local gym a two week trial. It’s good to change things now and then anyways. I will exchange sun screen, sunglasses and hats for germ patrol. My friends’ Dr. cautioned her about the gym. She goes early when no one is there so it has worked out for her.

Oodie, yes, we are sure on the same page regarding the rehabs, and all you stated. Someone in my area posted a picture of a dinner his wife in a rehab with special meal needs received. It was sad. The way they treat people is just negligent. Your husband is fortunate to have you delivering vacuums, meals and blankets and all. Good job!
