Sheba, our rain was overnight. Hopefully you have lots of fun things to do inside your home.
When I can’t go out, I am known to clean and organize.
I know you miss your kids.
Today I cleaned the Amber necklace and the back of the earrings. While I am happy with the pieces, they always need to be cleaned. Plus the Necklace was put in a large gray bag and thrown in a 8×9 box without any foam or cushioning. It bounced around in the box from East Coast to the West Coast. I have to make sure it’s all ok without breakage or scratches. Since I don’t typically buy Amber, I am not sure if scratches are on it or if it’s the process of pressing it and normal.
Heidi at the end of the Month will be great. And her packaging is perfect. -
Oodie, belated well wishes for you and Mr. Oodie’s 53 Anniversary!🍾
We had our 25th a few months ago. Time sure goes fast.

Sheba, too cute to eat.

Sheba, Hope you had a good day. Well, our rain has started and I’m wondering if or when the T-storm might arrive here. Btw, I love the items that arrived yesterday.

Sheba, Hello! Weather wise we are doing well. Expecting a Thunderstorm late tonight but there are no signs of it yet. The weather was great for today’s walk. A Coyote was watching me charge down a hill and once I noticed the pup, I stopped and was going to back track but the pup went into the side area. Then I went to meet up with a friend and sure enough the pup came out and crossed in front of our path and stayed on the side of it for a while, and seemed curious, not threatening. Kids. 🙂
Hello to Poppy.
My items arrived today and I hope to open the package shortly.
Have a great evening! -
Sheba, glad all the Iris Apfel items worked out for you. They looked so pretty. The Leaf and Petal flowers make me wish I had a green thumb.
I understand what you mean about the fruit. I usually do ok at Aldi. A few days ago I bought a canteloupe 2-pack from Costco, and one of the two had mold on it a day later, the rind was still greenish so it makes no sense. I cut it open hoping for the best but it was bad. The 2nd one of the 2-pack was good, luckily. The Farm Market near Oodie sounds so nice. Also, I get what you mean about tipping. Did you hear the one where someone went shopping for a wedding dress, went to pay and the retail clerk flipped the payment pad and it defaulted to a 20% tip. No way is that right. I usually get food at Rubio’s on Tuesday. Almost always the same to-go order for the family. I tried a few of the local one’s and settled on the best one up the street from me. They are awesome, never make a mistake, keep the place clean, are super kind, friendly, and a great group. I have left cash tips when I pick-up but since they will be getting a raise in April, that will stop. $20.00 plus dollars an hour. Wowza. Have a good evening. -
Sheba, I remember the Iris Apfel jackets you purchased. Her passing is sad.
The tangerine figures and flowers are cool, and fun. I admire the creativity.
Omg to a $16.00 sub. I sometimes buy chocolate pudding but the price is so high now that I make my own healthier version. Yes, I don’t believe food inflation is real. Shoplifters need to be prosecuted and serve their jail time. One of the grocery stores near me has all the alcohol by the door. I have been in the store a few times where someone grabs and runs. Sometimes I hear an employee yell at them and try to chase. Commiefornia will have a new law in April where the fast food workers of certain sized businesses will make about $20 per hour (not something presented to voters to vote on and many feel it’s an outrage. Then for sure, no tipping. Talk about inflated wages, it’s how they try to grow Socialism. Hope we can undo it. Just crazy and beyond.
Jay King was wonderful today. He has a huge stock on HSN. Wow. I enjoyed watching him tonight.
Hike was awesome as it was very cool and crisp. -
Yes, that would be me.

Sheba, you have a lovely tribute to Iris Apfel here. She did a lot with her life and did it in style.
I think you posted about the sub wanting a tip. It’s crazy how we are asked to tip for ordering online, driving to get the food, and taking it home. Some things I just can’t do. I know someone who loves to over tip and at lunch I said no won’t do it, and thankfully the other person with us said something too. I mean hey, you can give all you want but don’t try to tell me to overpay because they show up. No.
I only made it up a few hills and then it started to drizzle, i headed back to my car, but all for not as then a whole lot of rain fell. I ran to my car but it didn’t help. It’s ok though I don’t mind. We had some more rain tonight.
I think Heidi is back towards the end of the month. Should be fun.
Hope you feel better soon. -
AmandaOhio, well said. We need more people like her.

Sheba, glad your son made the trip home safely. It is funny how you drop him at the airport and he’s almost home by the time you get home. With 4 kids you’re always going to be busy with visits and holidays. Sounds like Poppy enjoys his cool winter walks.
Good for you with no TV. You would be shocked at what goes on here.
Hope Shoelady’s Sister and Mother had an awesome trip.
We are expecting rain tonight. Have a great weekend! -
Sheba, so sad to read that Iris Apfel has passed.
-
Sheba, always something going on in the world. Good for your mental health not to absorb it all, but do what we can when we can.
I have been really good, maybe too good about honing and streamlining my jewelry. If it’s not used or not worn in a certain period of time then off it goes, anything meaningful to me I keep. I have learned along the way that many bracelets just don’t fit my small wrists, or might be too heavy. It’s fun to update things from time to time too.
Anyways. hope you have a great Leap Day. Love the Frog picture. -
Sheba, since you’re forcing me ok….. so I ended up with Connie Craig Carol floral drop earrings 850-278 and the Amber Extraordinaire Tree of Life Pendant, it’s an AS IS and Silver is the colorway they have left. I really am not buying too much these days but sometimes it’s fun to try something new that I don’t have and is different for me.
I did sell off some older items that I don’t wear much of so that’s how I do it. I don’t want to accumulate too much.
Well off to hike soon and then a short walk with a friend.
Hope your day is going well.
The flowers and images are lovely as usual. -
Sheba, love that Poppy leads the way. Like you, I prefer being outside. It’s so pretty and enjoyable. Well, I barely made it through all these jewelry shows without buying something. Now I have my eye on a few items. The Amber piece is in the running still. Today I wore a small dangling pair of crystal earrings that I bought in LA over 30 years ago, maybe my 1st year in CA.
The cakes and flowers are beyond lovely and creative.
Shoelady’s wine is looking really good.
Today was a busy day but enjoyable.
Your weather in OZ isn’t boring.
