Living in a small town with fewer choices sounds challenging. If you’re cooking and freezing your probably eating a lot healthier than some food buying options that are loaded with salt.
I was shocked when a healthier frozen food option in the supermarkets here went up to $6-7 dollars for one small meal. Given that option, I’ll join you with cooking.

There is a group in the area that goes to feral cats and spay/neuters and also feed them.
They seem organized. I know there is more than one group but the work they do is great.
If only a group would spay/neuter the Coyotes as I think their population had grown.

I saw that frozen food post from 1 day ago. Sheba, my Mother would buy us the beef or chicken pot pies, and the swanson chicken dinners and we thought that was the best and how lucky we were to get them. Did you have many frozen dinners as a kid?

Rain is nice when it’s not too much. We are hot but have some wind today.

I’m still babying half of the back yard trying to get new grass to grow. Hubs has been taking care of my plants in the front with the water he’s collected from the air conditioner.

I’ll check if we get TCM for Metroplis. We have a lot of movie channels here. I recently found one called Nostala TV.

I just heard Covid is going around. He had to go to the Asst Living place today, and I am pretty sure they will test him for Covid at the door.

Yes, hubs friends are enjoying themselves but only renting until they check things out. Another State is also in the mix. They do say it is hot but that the people are so kind and not the type to steal something that you accidentally drop. SOCA is has changed and the petty crime is ridiculous, plus the regular theft. The stores have to lock up everything. I watched a video of someone stealing a plant stand in front of a door at an elders apt and all kinds of stuff on the apps here.
Get your ice cream tomorrow. Hubs thinks it solves all problems. lol He can;t get enough. lol.

Sheba, Wow, that storm sounds intense. The good news is there is no watering. I think the area I tested planting grass seed is growing. YAY! If it works I’ll get a huge bag as we are being told we will have a wet winter. Currently, we are hot here. Hubs caught a cold again.
The fun part of a large family is a FL getaway like that where you all know each other. Hope everyone has safe travels home.

It was raining a bit this morning and its like a windy bathtub. I’m thinking I must be in the tropics as we have bugs and mosquitoes everywhere.
Hope you enjoyed Lestat. We watched a movie called “They Came From Mars” made in 1953. It was pretty good. I’m guessing you have seen it.
