Sheba, wow, love these mugs and the kettle. Looks like a lovely, elegant line.

SHeba, ok, I’ll admit it; not that motivated to decorate. Maybe in another week….

Oodie, So happy to hear the Prestige boxes work for you. I was a little worried when I read the one review recently left. I don’t expect the anti tarnish to last forever but I’m glad yours are still working.
Sorry about your flat tire. Will take a look at Wallmart but really don’t need too much.
We finally had our 1st good cup of coffee since our return from Vac. -
Sheba, Poppy’s stand-in for the picture is adorable. Dog and Cat fashion is so fun! I saw a short video where a dog has baby bright green croc’s on his paws. Coincidentally, my son had the same color Crocs in boots as a young kid.
Spent some time yesterday cleaning the coffee maker and diagnosing its issue(s). It had a good run of many years, probably too many. We ran out for a new one and had some good coffee this morning.
I purchased the Colleen’s Prestigeâ„¢ 3-Layer Jewelry Box in cream. It’s a newer version. all 3 drawers in one piece as opposed to separate boxes. I am waiting for the smaller sized boxes but took the plunge, since they don’t seem to be arriving anytime soon. Hoping to consolidate some items, cleaned a lot of jewelry in advance, and posted some to sell. Honing things.
Btw, the Amber in Poland is lovely! Learned about the Amber trail and saw many pieces in museums. -
Sheba, You and Poppy will be styling in your snow shoes! The picture posted is my back yard. The humming birds love the 2 bird-of-paradise plants by my sliding door. We had some neighbors over and were at the table in the back yard and were getting buzzed constantly. I was surprised they weren’t afraid of us. They are beauties.
Sorry about your close family member’s cancer. My Dad had it. -
Sheba, Nice you and Poppy got to walk today! Hope Poppy can keep up with you 🙂
Love the coffee pictures. Haven’t had a decent cup since we got back. Hubs doesn’t want to do the cups because of the waste. I know there are reusables but he seems against it.
Ugh, will be coffee maker shopping soon.
Have a great weekend! -
Shoelady, Love hearing about the days you wore heels. Sounds fun you and also Sheba wearing them in the City.
Sorry to hear about your best friend’s husband. Wishing him the best. Cancer sucks.

Sheba, My son had fun. Toured and visited historic sites. I think he and his bud will go again to see more of the sites.
I understand rent can be high in all coastal areas there are plenty of places to live outside the high cost locations. It’s a choice in my view. They are always building in the area where I live and all nearby Cities. My 1st year in S CA I lived in a house in a suburb in the Valley and commuted 1 hour each way sometimes more. This wasn’t unusual for people to do.
It’s great you can walk in heels and are in great shape. That takes effort. -
Sheba, Hello. Rent is expensive all over SD. Do these friends work on the US side? When I was just out of College and new to living in LA , with the high rents, I got a 2nd job and babysat. Then I managed to get into a rent controlled studio. Still expensive to me but that’s how I managed it. I have heard stories of 8 students in a one or 2 bedroom apt.
For me, it’s a no. No living there and no vacationing there. Like you, I know many people do and seem to enjoy it. Back in the day when we lived in the very cold mid west, my parents had friends who went to Acapulco for the warm weather.
Yes, those are the steps. See all those steps? It’s much easier to get exercise where for me it takes effort. I think Co and AZ have an incline (step hikes). I’m not surprised you can do these steps. You seem to be in great shape! -
Sheba, Yes, my son made it here safely. They had a good time and said there was a lot to see. My son had to go right back to work.
Your kids are busy with travel and work. It’s good to be busy.
It was interesting to read about your niece going to Mexico so often. Here’s a tid bit that I didn’t know, but you might. Mexico City is sinking. It was built on a Lake. I learn the craziest stuff from kids.
I miss all the steps and walking from Vacation. Look up Coimbra Univ. (Portugal) Steps. We toured the area and visited some of the museums there. Some students wear long dark robes. When we arrived it was evening and it was an interesting site, especially since we didn’t know about the tradition.
Funny about the cats having expensive tastes. -
Sheba, your neighborhood is a lively one which is great. Nice to meet interesting people.
You asked about my son…. well he was in another country for a few days with a friend and they are coming home tonight. I really didn’t want him to go to Mexico but it’s so close and tempting to a lot of people. I have met people who travel there often and even go to the dentist which has been great for them with costs. That said, my view has not changed. He was scared to tell me and my hubs said I took it pretty well. But hey he is an adult and can make his own decisions. He did get to practice speaking Spanish there which is good.
Hope the cats are doing ok. How are your kids doing? -
Sheba, It’s been a busy weekend. I know for you as well.
You asked about the music on our travels. Other than the 2 plays we saw, we were pretty busy running around site-seeing. We went to fabulous Museums, Palaces, Churches, Synagogues, and historical places. How was your visit with your Professor friend? Is she planning another trip to Greece and has she recovered from her accident? I sure hope so.
Tonight I cooked a pumpkin left over from Halloween. Never tried it before and it was pretty easy. Tomorrow, if I have time, I might try to make soup from it. Maybe not? We will see as I am already tired of it 🙂
Yes, sadly I am aware of the fires.
Have a good evening! -
Sheba, Your laundry room looks fabulous!

Sheba, Glad your Perlier order arrived. Snow in CO already; time is flying by. My lunch was interesting and lasted about 3 hours plus 45 minutes in transit time total. We discussed the election results. I was tired when I got home and went to bed early. I’m an introvert so all this chatting gets overwhelming. I love it but i get tired. Today I took a down day to organize a bit.
How did your bathroom turnout? I know your house is beautiful.
We really miss the quality coffee from our travels. We decided to get a new coffee maker this year.Have a good evening!

Oodie, thinking of you and hope you can get some rest soon. Good to hear your hubs is going to be home soon.
