My home state is CT too. I now live in OH and don’t missed being taxed for EVERYTHING.
I visit home (CT) once or twice a year. Everything is crumbling- roads, bridges, parks. Where are the tax dollars going? Businesses are boarded up and prices are skyrocketing. What has happened to my beautiful little state?

Bravo! You have all made excellent points. I am not sure why HSN is not responsive. Lately, I have been shopping on sites that offer $1 shipping on orders over a certain amount. Not only are the items reasonably priced, but the shipping special applies to all items even clearance and sale items.
I don’t like it when HSN plays games with shipping charges. When they offer good shipping charges, I believe they try to recoup the money by raising shipping after the deal ends. None of this would be necessary if fair and honest shipping was charged in the first place.

Actually, if the speaker is from Great Britain, the 3 syllable pronunciation is correct.
I hope this helps. -
I bought the blue “opal” ring. I would like to leave a review, but when I pay via PayPal, I get an error message when I try to leave a review that I didn’t purchase the item. What’s up with that?
Anyway, I wouldn’t be surprised if the stones were plastic, let alone glass. The center stone on my blue “opal” ring is an opaque blue. It looks like a cheap turquoise stone. The side stones are a little clearer, but definitely don’t look like opals in any way. The ring is a total disappointment. I will never buy Colleen Lopez jewelry again. -
I am happy to see that Joy is back.
I loved her older handbags. They were innovative and interesting. That said, I am disappointed in her latest offering. First of all, it’s a tote. Nothing special about that. It is RFID, that nice- but so are many other totes.
I certainly don’t want an anti microbial tote- Admittedly, I haven’t listened to the presentation, but who would want to put their lunch, cosmetics, and anything else in such a bag? Maybe many people, but not me.
Come on, Joy, you can do better than this! How about an organizer bag? Or a triple compartment bag? There is nothing special about this tote that says high end.

Thank you you both. Scrapbooking is a wonderful hobby that I really enjoy. Card making is an offshoot of scrapbooking. It’s what scrappers started using their leftover supplies for. It’s amazing that scrapbooking is virtually disappearing. I search scrapbooking on HSN and I come up with card making supplies and kits. If I were to make small scale scrapbooks, I could probably use card making supplies- but I miss the big kits that HSN used to have. They were high quality and included all that was needed. No searching for individual items from online stores.
I just wish that HSN realized that card making doesn’t equal scrapbooking. -
I agree! I used to buy the Heidi Daus TS suite every time Heidi had a TS. Now, unless the suite comes as a set, like the last time Heidi was here, I only pick up a piece or two. This time, I bought the TS in a color that will match pieces I already have and a clearance necklace. I had a full cart, that I had shopped the day before the TS, thinking that there might have been a shipping special, like the old days. Five dollars ships your Heidi Daus purchase. Well, when that didn’t happen, I looked at my cart and I saw that between tax and shipping, I was going to pay over $35 dollars, I was shocked! I emptied my cart and bought the bare minimum. Shipping cost , I believe, $3.50 for the two pieces I bought.. which was reasonable. Sure, I would have bought more in the old days, when the entire suite was on 5 easy pays, on sale, with a five dollar shipping special. But I also can buy on Heidi’s site and pick up some good deals. These days, JTV gets most of my jewelry business because of HSN’s lack of true sales.

Actually, l believe the $35 was for shipping alone!

Hi, Sydneymom,
Not long ago, It was stated by scientists that antibiotics and antibacterials were making bacteria stronger and resistant. I don’t want to be part of that. I even worry that all this use of hand sanitizers might be contributing to the same issue.
I am very germ conscious- but don’t buy anything that will be in close contact with me- my food- and other personal items that I am not sure of.
Could this silver ion technology be safe? Of course! But I’m happy without it.
Have a great evening!

Creative Memories was huge here in the US. That is how I got started in the late 90’s. I used to attend all their crops. Slowly, they started introducing card making as a way to use up leftover materials.
HSN used to offer huge TSV kits made be a company called “Three Birds”. I don’t even know if they still exist. Also, Anna Griffin and other designers were scrapbooking designers before they had card kits.
I know I am not the only customer who is the unhappy about the absence of true scrapbooking kits- if I had the capitol, I would start my own company. I believe the market still exists but many scrappers have given up on the hobby
