Just checking in. Hubby and I had lunch at my daughter’s with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. My daughter is such a great cook. She doesn’t stress at all cooking for company. They all loved her house. It really is a pretty home.
Tomorrow I have my daughter, grandkids, sister, brother-in-law and my great-nephew coming over to swim and have a bbq. It’s going to be a busy summer but I think a lot of fun. None of us want to go to the public pools so we will rotate between a few houses.
Oodie has a big decision to make. My friends just drove up from Florida a few days ago. They stopped in South Carolina to sleep. My friend said she enjoyed the ride.
Off to some reading or playing games. Have a great day tomorrow!!!
Sheba, no we aren’t dead OR blind. Some of them looked like that years ago. Some of them NEVER looked like that!
I spend more money on things you post in pictures! I hunted down the Jessica Simpson heels you posted with the shells and bought them from Dillard’s in black. I also bought the Heidi Daus necklace with the coral and fish on it. Did you see the new butterfly necklace that she posted. It wraps around the back of your next. The pictures where she models some of the pieces are taken at her house down the shore. It’s a gorgeous area.
Sleep well knowing all is well!!!
Sheba, I’m very happy your appointment with the surgeon went well. My sister went for her mammogram this morning and all was well with her too. It’s been 3 years since her diagnosis.
My husband and I went flower shopping today for these tall urns we have on the patio. Pickings are getting slimmer. All my other flowers are beautiful. I’m getting ready for his party on the 30th. Thirty retired firemen will be here. Trust me, it’s not as exciting as it sounds. No young studs will be showing up lol.
Sheba, it was nice going out for dinner but not really relaxing like normal. A lot just feels strange.
Shizzle is putting it lightly for when Broadway will come back. It has to be one of the worst businesses to come back after this virus. Oh well, I will leave it in God’s hands. Not much else you can do.
Stopping in to say hi Sheba. I’ve been so busy. Kids came over today to go swimming and have dinner here. At least my husband gets to be with them a lot since I have no clue when Broadway will reopen. Probably not until next year. I never saw this coming!
I got my nails done today for the first time since February. I feel so bad that these little stores had to invest so much money into putting protective shields, etc in the shops. And at limited capacity, the owner said he hopes they can make it.
We went out for dinner for the first time in 4 months yesterday. You have to arrive with a mask on and you eat outdoors. All utensils are in a sealed plastic bag, menus are disposable and things like cheese and olive oil are in disposable containers. The servers wear masks and gloves. It felt so good to go out but reminders all over that things are not normal
My MIL and SIL are going to my daughter’s house for lunch on Thursday and my daughter wasn’t happy but my husband asked that they be able to go because they have been negative for a very long time now and they miss the kids. I guess you have to let go at some point. It’s so difficult with this virus.
Hope everyone is well.
Be still my heart. This is the scene that made me in love with this series. Robert Pattinson…that jawline 😍
Yay Sheba!!! Glad your mammogram went well!!! You will be fine with all your appointments.
Kids came over today while my daughter had to go into school and clean out her classroom. She had to take her temp and go in during her time slot. The teachers on each side of her couldn’t go in today because they are distancing. She had to sign some kind of release form. So sad that it has come to this.
Kids had a blast in the pool. My granddaughter came in and we have a makeup stash for her. She’s like a pro putting on makeup. She used to put it on like a clown but she’s perfected it. I think she watches tutorials! Her mother barely wears makeup. My granddaughter is more like me.
They stayed for dinner and now I’m crashing watching Twilight for the 1000th time. Love the music in the movie.
Good night all!
Sheba, hope your precious daughter had a wonderful birthday and hope her toe is healing well!
Hi Sheba, busy fun few days! Went to flower nurseries with my sister, brother-in-law, and daughter. I am going a little crazy with all the flowers this year. Usually we go away in the summer and the flowers on the deck get fried but since we’re staying home, I can take care of them.
My husband set up the pool today and it’s so much bigger than I thought. I love it! He and I sat in it half the afternoon. It was such a beautiful day. I cleaned out the fountain on the deck and it looks so pretty surrounded by all the flowers. We grilled for dinner and now relaxing. A very enjoyable weekend! I got to go INSIDE a store since the beginning of March (other than food shopping). We all wear masks and use hand sanitizer when you walk in but it felt so good to get out. A different king of going out, but at least not stuck in the house.
Looking forward to fun summer days ahead!
Good afternoon Sheba! No, the firemen’s bbq is at the end of the month. It’s a crowd so it will take awhile to figure out menu, etc. They come from all over NJ so they need a lot of warning!
I too have a lot of appointments this summer. In the past I always made sure not to have appointments then so I could enjoy the summer but they all had to be cancelled and rescheduled so it’s not working out that way this year. You will do fine Sheba. The medicine you’re on really keeps everything good. I can imagine how nerve racking it can be especially when it was all a surprise to you.
MIL and SIL are doing just fine. Went to see my MIL outside and far away from her!!! She looks wonderful and went to the food store with my SIL. She is also going for therapy for her knee and balance. God bless that woman!
We are off to my daughter’s. We bought my granddaughter a desk from Crate and Barrel and my husband has to put it together. put She is very excited….my husband, not so much. He is getting everything ready for the pool in our backyard. He is such a perfectionist. You’d think we were installing an infinity pool.
Enjoy the rest of your day. I hope everyone is well.
Oodie, I think you will have a great sleep tonight. I know I would after that fiasco! As far as restaurants here, only outdoor dining will start in 5 days. There is no inside dining anywhere in the state. I have about 6 of those freezer bags in my trunk. It’s amazing how long they keep food cold.
I keep reading about areas where the number of cases are surging like Myrtle Beach. I think they were worried about the economy and opened up too soon. No one got hit like NYC and they stayed shut even though they are losing massive amounts of money. And their cases, and ours, are declining. People go on vacation and throw caution to the wind and then you pay the price. I was hoping the heat would squelch the numbers but it doesn’t seem so.
Oodie, I’m repeating myself but I’m beyond thrilled for you. I’m sure you are breathing a huge sigh of relief. Stay well with those vitamins!!! (I take them too.)
Hi Sheba, I am thrilled about Oodie’s great news. I am just annoyed she had to wait so long. She seems to have a much calmer demeanor than I do….I can’t even concentrate when waiting for results.
New Jersey’s governor lifted the stay at home ban yesterday. Believe me, I’m not running out into the world yet. My husband is planning a bbq for his firemen friends (he was a firefighter for 20 years before his Broadway job). I said ok although I’m not entirely thrilled. I told him they can come in to use the downstairs bathroom and that’s it. I think it might be 20 to 30 men. NJ is allowing gatherings up to 100 people right now.
I have a nail appointment on the 22nd. I too take Andrew’s Hair, Skin and Nail supplement. I have been doing all these designs and jewels on my nails but I miss the strength of acrylic on top because I wear them long. I hope everyone is very careful at the salon. I’m leery about going but I have to start sometime and NJ is definitely going much much lower on cases.
The beach was absolutely beautiful yesterday. Not too hot and no humidity. The ocean was cold but you got used to it after awhile. The beach wasn’t crowded at all thank God. We then walked to the bay and found horseshoe crabs in the water. My husband kept picking them up to show the kids they don’t hurt you.
Enjoy the day. It’s beautiful here in Jersey.
Oh Oodie, GREAT, GREAT NEWS!!!!! I am so happy for you. Our prayers were answered. No excuses for all the delays but it is such wonderful news!!!
Oodie, I was going to say the same thing as Shoelady….UGH! I wish people would put themselves in another’s shoes and know they are nervous and waiting for a definitive answer. Still sending prayers your way.
Hi Sheeba, just checking in about Oodie. Ugh…the waiting can kill you. Running out soon to take my daughter and the kids down the shore to walk on the beach and my hubby will fish with the kids in the ocean. The waves calm me. Had a bbq yesterday for my sister, etc. The same few people we see. We went to see fireworks the other night. You pulled in a parking spot and the kids sat on the roof. Some people were so careless but we never left our car.
Off to dry my hair. Who washes and dries their hair to frizz by the ocean??? Oh well, I try.
Oodie, I just had a second to sit down after a very busy last three days. I was praying you would have gotten great news. I’m so sorry you’re still waiting for your results. Everything is so crazy in the medical world right now. I will be praying you hear tomorrow. Stay strong!!!
