xango, we had rain from 1 pm until a few minutes ago. It was absolutely beautiful. Guess tomorrow it will be as nothing happened today since temps will be somewhere in the 90s with humidity. Oh well.

RosaTowwen, I just saw your post from last night. Thanks for the advice, but here is that scenario. Since we are on the Gulf Coast, we would need to travel to Orlando where we would pick up an Amtrak. There is no long term parking here that I know of. And we would definitely need the parking since we remain in the Northeast from 4-6 months and maybe longer depending upon the weather. It is an overnight to New York City, Penn Station. From Penn Station we would have to find a Subway that goes to Grand Central. Most likely would have to change at Times Square and then go the route we need to take from that point. The other side of this is that we would need to rent a van once we get to the last destination. Taking the car is out of the question on Amtrak not only the cost, but we would have to go to DC and then drive 95 North. Both of us dread the 95 corridor and it would be a big, hassle to go our favorite route. We would be adding an additional 100 miles, whereas driving from our home here to our other home in the Northeast, we add only an additional 50 miles. Thanks again for mentioning Amtrak.
