I was just thinking. It is night where I am and the sun is still shining in your neighborhood. May we all learn from you and others who walk our paths. I cannot imagine leaving home without the antibacterial soap or a mask. Wipe sheets for when I use the gas pump. To treat others the way I wish to be treated—-with dignity and respect. No name calling unless it’s their name. Every person is an individual and every person, though different, is a friend. When you can be kind to yourself, you then can be kind to others.

You are in the same boat that I was a few years ago. First of all I had to wait for the package and then decide if I was old enough to retire. My biggest concern was being with my husband morning, noon and night. I was afraid that both of us would be bored with each other and like many of our friends would be looking at a separation and divorce. Luckily, that never occurred. Each day is so different. Conversations begin and never end. The retirement was sweet. I just had to pick which month to leave. I have never looked back. I worked in retail prior to my employment with my State. I left after 35 years. Never looked back. Found traveling to be an adventure whether by plane, ship, bus or car. Of course today with the pandemic, I am finding other things to keep me busy. Look at the package. See the offer. Then make your decision. There may be other roads you may want to venture in. Other things that may interest you. You never know where you will end up. I love the poem by Robert Frost, “The Road Not Taken.”

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there

Pipman, anytime you need directions for something, go to “YOUTUBE. com. You would be surprise on all the “how tos” that are listed. Knitting and crocheting are two of them. Of course there are always books at the library or at a bookstore. You may even try a furry pet. That surly will get you up and about. Most of all, smile and be happy. Someday, using Sheba’s words, “This too shall pass. Remember, also, that this thread is up and about all week long. Get lonesome, just pipe in, I mean, type in. We are all feeling the same thing. Down in the rut, nothing to do, bored. You name it, we are all there. Do the things you used to enjoy. Go fishing, take a walk. Exercise the brain. Try the New York “Times” Sunday’s Crosswords. Did you know, there are a few Broadway shows on You Tube. Hope this helps you to get out of a rut. Remember also, we are all in this together.
