I am still looking at possible bedroom furniture. Though our master is a good size, I do not want clutter. Today I started going through some empty boxes. I need an area for the donations. Our community does a tag sale every year that goes for two or three days. This sale helps to offset costs to the pool, the office, HOA fees just to name a few. I have a few pieces of furniture as well and also lamps. Basically, due to the mice infestation, I had to discard some brand new furniture and also almost the entire kitchen. I am starting from the groundwork and up. Our master will be the first to undergo a change. It will be our sanctuary until we are able to head north. We will not be leaving anytime soon. I want to see what hubs is able to do before making any decisions. The other reason is that our right hand construction person will be away from October until February. He will be replacing a window and taking a good hard look on our gutters. They seem to be in pretty good shape at the moment. But, I will need his expertise in helping me with a ramp and chair lift. I will also need a hospital bed in that house as well. The most important side to this is that we need to redo the master bath in that house. Thankfully, the master is large enough to accommodate this venture. i will update as things happen.
I did not see hubs today. I will go early tomorrow after the renovator leaves. May make one stop at the Farmer’s Market and then on to the rehab. Hope you three have a pleasant evening and then some. No rain in sight. Temp is in the low 70s. We will be in the mid 60s overnight. I had to water the plants. I will do some more tomorrow. Goodnight.

I remember Jay’s first time on HSN with Colleen. He was so nervous but managed to give insight into his jewelry. I love his stories. One of these days he should write a book about his travels and finds. They are amazing.

I was up until the wee hours of this morning getting ready for garbage and recycle. I was able to get everything out before 9 am after getting to bed around 5:30. I did return to bed following the routine. What I was able to do was make another dent in the kitchen. If I had three or four full days to work this would have been done and onto the next room. Sometimes I wish there were more hours in a day. This was one of them. I do enjoy the extra hour and looking forward to the first weekend in November. The hour actually will help more in the am for me. Dawn will start around 6 am instead of 7:15 am. That extra hour will certainly help in the redo process. I am now really looking at a twin bed for me and a new mattress. Not sure if a box spring will be needed. I’m hoping for a platform bed along with two smaller nightstands. Not sure about a new dresser since the one we have is OK. Seems that Wayfair has the best selection and the prices seem reasonable. If assembly is required, then will go whomever Wayfair recommends. Tomorrow I will be working with the social workers on Joel’s hospital bed. Thankfully, we have a rather large master. The bedside tables are nice, but ones that are not as wide may look nicer. The desk I’m using will be demolished and this will enable us to have a reading nook. At least that’s the plan.
Is the gray kitty the one that let’s you touch him/her? I have a feeling they may like your home but are scared of Poppy.
Have a great evening. Enjoy the walk in the moonlight. We are now in our autumn weather. We will be rainless until the spring unless something unforeseen happens. Right now I am taking it easy. I will see hubs tomorrow. Did not go today. I was afraid I would fall asleep behind the wheel on the return home. Did not wish to take a chance. Good night. Pleasant dreams. The long weekend went too fast.

I finally found the Amazon tablet and left you a message in yesterday’s thread. I am a happy camper and now can get down to other business.
The temp and humidity levels are awesome. The 80s are 80s and not equivalent to mid or upper 90s. What a difference a few days make. I did not see hubs today. Needed a good nap after all was said and done. I left word with the receptionist and she will pass it on.
Have a great evening. Hope your favorite cat returns and let’s you pet him/her. Wonder if this one has a hone nearby. The laundry room smells so nice. I am finally able to open the window.

Lost no more. Kindle has been found. I went looking for an empty box for clothing I no longer wear or want and there it was in the empty box along with a notebook that I also needed. Unbelievable what one does when in a hurry. Now that’s two found and one more to go. Was also missing my reading glasses. Last time I used them was at the hairdresser’s. I went through my purse and it wasn’t until it fell off the chair in hub’s room that I found them. They were in a soft case rather than the hard one. I do have an extra pair. However, most of the time I can go without those.
Now back to KP and then a shower and leave to see hubs. He will be so happy and I will also bring his Kindle. He has been asking for it at every visit. I found his while looking for mine. It had fallen behind some boxes. One more pair of glasses still hiding. But this one is somewhere in the bedroom. It is probably under the bed with all the ghosts and goblins. Thank goodness for spares when you need themn. Have a great day and then some. Enjoy the long weekend with hubs. Don’t make him work too hard. 😃😃😃

No, I didn’t find the Kindle Fire Tablet. I rechecked all the places it could be and then some. I even checked hubby’s room. Tried the bedside table, nothing. The closet, nothing. Last night he was freezing and I found his Sherpa blanket ion an upper shelf in his closet and put it on his bed. Not sure if I had the tablet at that time. It could have been on the bed prior to the blanket and I never looked before leaving. I thought it was home. I have a tendency to put it down somewhere if I am adding items to the carrier. As it turned out the carrier I was using seemed heavy and I started taking things out. Not sure if the tablet made it into the bag prior getting into the car. It could not have fallen out since I had a small freezer thing with a chocolate mousse for a snack for hubs. The tablet would have been underneath. I even checked the sweatshirt that was in the bag. Nothing. This morning I again rechecked. I asked the aides at the nurse’s station. Nothing. I will make a call to the first shift in the am. If it was left I usually find it in the room or at the nurse’s station. And the blanket from last night is gone. I surmise it was sent to the laundry. It was clean when I took it out of the closet. If the switchboard was opened 24/7 I would contact the people on the 3rd shift. Yes, I checked the car. Nothing. I did contact Amazon to no avail. Their CS has gone downhill. I will try again later.

I see you are busy online, and hope when you are done or need a break, you will read this. I am smiling from ear to ear. We are now going to enjoy some real nice autumn weather. No rain in sight, but the temps are taking a downward spiral. Today in the low 80s and will be in that category all week. The nighttime temps, and here’s the real kicker. Low to mid 60s. Humidity non existent. My kind of weather. Long sleeves, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. etc.. WOW!!!! I will need to go through hub’s closet for slacks. 😂😂😂😂😂

Just returned home from a nice visit with hubs. The weather seems to have taken a real nice turn. Humidity was low this evening yet the temp on my desktop says it’s 86 with 80% humidity. I am doing a happy dance.
I must be tired. I have searched high and low for the Kindle Fire. I had been recharging it and it was charged by the time I was ready to leave. Looked for it when I sat down in hubs room and it wasn’t in the bag. Took everything out just to be sure. Nothing. So I thought I must have left it behind. It’s nowhere to be found. I do not recall seeing it on hub’s bed, though it could be under his sherpa blanket. I must be tired. So will call it a night and continue the search in the morning. It has been one of those nasty days. Oh well. This, too, shall pass.

I am doing desk duty today. I was up before the sun so I could get things ready for the owner of the renovation. He never showed. Not only that, but tried to get into my email and found that the telephone line and the computer were down along with wifi. Checked the electrical panel and everything was OK. Contacted Spectrum and they ran a test and said to wait at least 5 minutes prior to restarting. Techs also mentioned to unplug everything. Phone line was the first to work and contacted the contractors. They were able to contact the owner and he was elsewhere. He never phoned to cancel and thus made another appointment for next Wednesday. It took me to just a few minutes ago to get the computer up and running.
Columbus weekend. No mail delivery, but will have garbage pickup. Due to my sulfite allergy, I cannot purchase makeup. I’ve been hit too many times with hives, swollen face and fingers to purchase. It’s sometimes the ingredients that are left out that are the culprit. I just try to stay hydrated.
I will be leaving in about an hour to be with hubby. Have a great day. It’s almost the weekend. Hope your hubby gets the three days..

I was with hubby Wednesday. He looked good, but complained how cold it was even though there was a light quilt on the bed. I was OK until I left. Out the front door and the heat hit me. Gave me the chills, but I was OK.
Decided not to see hubs on Thursday so I could do laundry and straighten the entry way and other things. ;Never a dull moment. Just heard that we have another tropical storm, Jerry. At the moment it does not look like it will hit the East coast but it’s too early to say for sure. It will become a hurricane. There is also something in the Gulf, but looks to be closer to Mexico and Texas. This one is not expected to develop. I am hoping for the misses. Tired of doing the roof. Many in our community are tearing down their hones to rebuild ones that can withstand 200+ mph winds. We cannot go underground due to the high water table. I am looking at the possibility of relocating further inland if we decide to remain in Florida as snowbirds. At the moment it is only an idea. Renovating the Cape house may not be feasible since we would need to go down to the studs to make the house handicapped accessible. There is not enough room in the hallway to get to the bathroom or bedrooms. The kitchen and laundry room are OK. Dining room and the rest of the house are not conducive for either a wheelchair or a scooter. However, one good thing is that there is a decorator who has done some fantastic turnarounds and we will contact him when we return.
It seemed to be a tad cooler today with temps in the high 89s. Humidity was high in the 80s and we did have a shower in the afternoon. More rain expected Friday. Certainly will not be enough to tackle the drought.
I love the Beatles.

I did see hubs yesterday. He was in the dining room when I arrived. I had made a couple of yellow potatoes in chicken soup with spices. Loved every bite. I do need to return to the Farmer’s Market for honeydew melon so I can finally make his favorite soup. There will be no need to puree the veggies since they will be nice and soft. I will also add the Dragon Fruit to the mix. Guess I am feeling better.
I purchased the Heidi Daus American Flag on a cord and brought it as a gift for hubby’s hats. He actually went “OH MY” upon opening the gray box. Loved it, but asked me to take it home. He was afraid that someone would steal it while he was either asleep or away from his room. And the “Breakfast with Heidi” necklace is very eye catching.
I will not be seeing hubs today. I was up to the wee hours of this morning and was on the computer and the next thing I knew it was 5:30pm. By the time I get going, there will be no way for me to visit since the reception area will be closed by 6:30pm. . Though the nurse’s station has a way to let people in, they take their time to answer the doorbell. So I will leave late morning to make a stop at Costco and then be with hubby following.
Sorry about the game last night. Well, there is always the next one. Yet Kelsie had a great time and a great moment in history. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Well, I guess I better tinker in the kitchen. I am trying to make some of the drawers more handicapped accessible for a few plates and other things he may want to grab a hold of for a snack. Have a great evening.

Thank you for your concern. I haven’t seen hubby in over a week. What started as Meniere’s became a virus. I have a feeling that I was fighting Covid again. This time, though, the was a bit different. I think I had the one that is now going around. I was in bed from Tuesday night through Friday. The High Holidays came and went. Thankfully, I had the phone beside me in bed. The worse days were Thursday and Friday. Yesterday I started to feel like my old self. I did make some chicken soup with some things from the freezer. I should not have gone to the Farmer’s Market in the early afternoon on Wednesday. But I needed bread, fruit, veggies, etc.. The hard part was getting everything into the house and refrigerated. But the soup helped in many ways and the veggies sweetened the pot. Today I left a voice message for the owner due here tomorrow. I am trying to get things done, however, I may have him stay outside in our carport where I do have a table and a couple of chairs. This is one time I did not like being alone.
Our new bin for garbage arrived a few weeks ago. Tomorrow will begin the only day for pickup. This will include the garbage, recycle and garden things such as weeds, and trim. These can be put into our old cans, but must be loose. This means no plastic, though the leaf bags will do. The bins are all set. Just need to bring them to the front by 6am. I will probably do that part tonight.
Take care. Lessman’s vitamins sure come in handy (LOL, especially the ones for the Immune system. This virus could have been a lot worse. ).

I wish safe travels tor your sister and hope she is back home for some R&R.. Your mom will really feel the time she is gone. Sounds like those two have a great time together. Wonder if there are any cruises lined up upon her return. I’m looking at one to the Orient from Cal. . Will not be making any reservations until I know hubby can enjoy it with me. That’s a huge question because the ships have just a few rooms available for the handicapped.
II hope someday you change your mind about another pet. Though I miss my cat long with the next door neighbor’s, Ziggy,, I am ready for a 4-legged friend. As soon as I can get this place in order, I will do so. It would be good for hubby also. At the moment I am looking at a service dog. We shall see.
Enjoy the foliage.. The oak trees here just either turn brown or drop their leaves. There is one maple tree about a mile from our home. So far it is still green. Weather is in the mid to upper 80s with high humidity. Rain was in the forecast everyday this week. But it fizzled. At least, for now, things are quiet on the Gulf coast as well as the Atlantic.

Good evening. I just watered some plants and put a load of laundry into the dryer. Trying to get as much done as I can before Monday’s meeting with the owner from the bathroom remodel. Trying to juggle some more things in the kitchen as well as the horrid looking closet in the master bathroom. I emptied the closet and have not had the time to go through the items and to put them on a shelf to be found when needed. I am sure many have expired dates and I need to trash them before hubby gets home. He has a habit of keeping things from two or more years ago. No wonder we do not have room for things. (LOL),
Today I am actually feeling better. Did not see hubs but will do so tomorrow. I will need to make a stop at Aldi’s for some pudding for hubs and then also a stop at Costco. The Rehab is about 5 miles west of Costco. But those traffic lights…..every street corner. Oh yes, and you are also on camera.
Hope to do some work in the kitchen and to start getting ready for the bathroom remodel. Cannot wait for the work to start and then be finished. Sunday, I hope to clean the carport and also move things into the lanai in case of a hurricane This will also give the workers some easy access. Just wish there were more hours in a day.
By the way, there are some new items in Heidi Daus. I left a review for the “breakfast with Heidi” and purchased the multi colored gourd pin. I could not resist it. I also saw where she will be returning around November 5th or so for two days in November. I will miss seeing Lynn with her.

I awoke this morning with a sore throat and a voice that sounded like a fog horn. Consequently I didn’t see hubs. Not sure if this is a sinus infection of a virus. I did stop at the Market yesterday and wonder if the air had something to do with this. The Farmers Market had salmon in chili mango sauce which I could not resist. Had it for breakfast and it was delicious. Leftovers tomorrow.
I will try to see hubs tomorrow even if it means masking up. I have the appointment on Monday to go over everything for the redo. My main concern is not only color but having it handicapped accessible. The owner thinks putting a grab bar attached to the bottom of the toilet would work. I tried that idea out by sitting in hub’s wheelchair from Savannah. It would not work. Facing the commode, he would have a difficult time reaching below to get to a standing position even on one leg. Having something on either side along with his walker may be the better alternative. I will be meeting with the Rehab Social Work team next week to go over the plans. Our Health Insurance people will also visit the rehab to come up with a plan as well. They are well aware that I am not happy with the Social Workers or the Physical Therapy staff. And luckily we are both on the same page with the food and the amount at each meal.
Now back to KP. Have a great evaning.
