I had an order for a microwave grill pan cancelled, too. No explanation, no apology, just an email to say the order was cancelled and would not be filled. That’s no way to endear you to customers.

You can buy Nellie’s on Amazon, but I find it at a better price at my local TJ Maxx/Home Goods. My guess is that they’re phasing it out in favor of Beekman laundry soap, which is more expensive than Nellie’s.

I tried his DermaApeal when he was on HSN. But that facial product contains ingredients dangerous to put on your face, near your eyes, nose and mouth, because they are such harsh ingredients: peppermint oil and menthol, to name just a few. Who would put such strong ingredients in a product that comes so near your eyes? I dumped mine immediately and would put that product nowhere near my body. There are many other safer products if you want a mild dermabrasion.

I have the Happy Place 7 piece White & Bright Oxygen Powdered Concentrate Kit — where you put a small envelope of powder in warm water in a gallon jug, swirl to mix, then put a cup or so in your laundry. I’ve used it several times and have noticed NO whitening or brightening action. It’s too expensive to return it, so I’ll use it a bit and donate the rest, but would NEVER buy any Happy Place products again. I’ve used the Happy Place laundry powder in the past, and the flakes of goats milk soap don’t always dissolve. I haven’t been impressed with any of the other Beekman products I’ve ordered either.

I do love Nellie’s laundry powder, have used it for years, and love how clean and clear it rinses from my laundry. I would much soon recommend a Nellie’s product than anything from Beekman or Happy Place.

I always compare prices: on the HSN website, on Andrew’s procapslabsDOTcom website, and on amazonDOTcom. Sometimes it’s cheaper on amazon, sometimes not. When amazon and Andrew’s site have identical prices, I tend to order from Andrew’s website, feeling he probably doesn’t have to give amazon a cut. But I always watch HSN for specials, too. You just have to look around.

I just ran out of my Ultimate Eye Support and wondered whether to wait for it to come on HSN, or to order from Andrew’s site, procapslabsDOTcom. Since it’s not coming on special, I will just order it from his website. Thank you for your posting, and please continue to do so in the future!

I agree about watching the models to see if the fabric shows lumps and bumps. But most models AND hosts on the shopping channels seems to wear clothing at least one size too small. I believe in well fitted clothing, but I’d be embarrassed to wear clothing as tight as some shown on TV.

That said, Nina Leonard does have some great buys and I’ve always been happy with the products I’ve purchased from that line.

Temu is a Chinese company, so I won’t buy anything that contributes to the Chinese economy which is controlled by the communist Chinese government. They may ship products first to a staging address in the U.S. so it appears they are being delivered to the customer from the U.S., but it’s all coming from China. They also get breaks on shipping costs to the U.S., which is an unfair advantage not available to U.S. companies.

It’s your choice, but I prefer to pay more and buy from U.S. companies or U.S.-allied countries whenever possible. At the very least, know where and who you are buying from and understand where your money is going.

If you read the product labels online and read some of the customer reviews (both on HSN and on Amazon), you can learn a lot about his products. And I believe HSN does have at least portions of his presentations on the individual product pages.

I think his products are of excellent quality, but I do have one issue: Many different capsules are similar looking. The calcium, CholestaCare and glucosamine chondroitin supplements are all capsules containing white finely ground contents, and they are of similar size. I have to use food-safe markers to be able to tell the difference between all the white capsules in my pill holder. It would be so nice if he had a colored line or symbol on individual supplements so we could tell them apart.

I believe designers are used to dealing with models as clothes hangers, so they’re used to touching them in ways a normal person would not touch another person in public. I see this in Marla but also Isaac and other designers as well. I think models are used to it, especially from an outgoing person like Marla, who seems to enjoy a back-and-forth conversation with the models, and they seem to like it as well. As another person noted, if they didn’t like it, they could complain to the management. For me, I enjoy the show.

As for Marla’s prices, she has very high standards of quality in her fabrics, designs and fabrication. They are not for everybody, but as she says, “Buy better quality and buy fewer pieces.” In other words, if you buy more expensive clothing, the pieces will last longer and look better longer, so you need fewer purchases. I’ve purchased only a few of her items, always when they are on special, and find them to be of excellent quality.

I agree. Most of the time the pants show stress creases because they are too tight. And the hosts wear jackets so small they can’t meet the two sides together in the front. Wear the right size and prove to us, the customers, that you are selling well fitting, becoming clothes. Otherwise, you’re just losing eyes and sales.

How is her new CleanBoss spray cleaner any different from what she offered before? It has the same disinfectant ingredient, thyme oil, but we can’t see the list of ingredients on the product page to know what else is in it. You can buy a similar cleaner in the grocery store by Seventh Heaven for less than $4 for a bottle slightly larger than hers. Don’t tell me what’s not in it, Joy, tell us what IS in it.

drkelli, what color is your Gabor wig, and is it the rooted color? I’m going to ask a friend to give me an honest opinion, because I think each of us can be more critical and unrealistic when we look at ourselves in the mirror. I love the style and the fibers on the wig, so if my friend gives me a good rating, I’ll keep it and maybe just dust a little light dry shampoo on the roots until I get used to them. tady, thanks for letting us know the comparisons between Joy’s CleanBoss cleaner and the Seventh Generation one. That definitely makes Joy’s cleaner have a higher concentration of the thyme oil, accounting for the strong scent. But why doesn’t she just explain this? And why doesn’t she show the label on the HSN site? It’s hard enough to read on her website with white type on a sky blue background, so why not just come out and say other commercially available cleaners do not have the same percentage of thyme oil, that’s why the scent is so strong, but that’s why it’s a GREAT antibacterial cleaner? I just wish they were more open about these facts. And I do thank you for noticing the difference in the concentration and letting us all know. Thank you!
