Since original post, I had time to research Nancy Brinker, the 2013 salary debacle in which Brinker’s salary was made public causing severe decrease in donations, decisions made since then, and Komen’s expansion into November for fund raising.
It appears that Komen is struggling to obtain the massive funding pre-2013. That could be due to a number of issues.
Brinker’s recent interests moved to trans community as many of them complained about both Komen not recognizing that anyone can have breast cancer, not just women, and the bright pink campaign color.
HSN’s gaudy pink set design is not based on Victorian period Christmas trees and decorations imo. My neighbor researched Victorian era Christmas designs & decorations then replicated it in her own home 3 years ago. Her design was period correct to every detail and beautiful. Victorian era Christmas was muted palettes that didn’t eliminate green, red, and blue.
The other possibility is that the Barbie brigade or a designer’s influence is strong at HSN manager & newer hosts.
I do recall HSN’s set design changed to acknowledge black and hispanic history months but do not ever recall HSN devoting set design to celebrate men’s health awareness month with set design of all blues etc. This makes HSN seem prejudicial in regards to recognizing causes and people.
We will never know why HSN execs & set design changed to this in your face intrusion in your television viewing experience.
All I know is that is different from HSN post Qurate purchase and VASTLY different from pre-Qurate purchase.
It is so in your face that it takes your attention away from product demonstration.
After years of happy, fulfilling HSN television shopping, the past 3 weeks I’ve longingly watched QVC’s television programming.
But since it appears that since HSN is more interested in being a pantone, Barbie, and whatever else sycophant rather than focus on the preferences of the majority of their customers I’m done with HSN.
If some execs plan was to disregard all the shoppers that kept HSN profitable for decades and send them elsewhere, they are succeeding.

I stopped watching HSN because of them. I had been unhappy with their programming for months but the continual barrage of ads was too much. Ads between programs is one thing. But so many ads in a single programming segment is another.

I am really only interested in product presentation. But for everyone worried about Andrew, Muriel, and Kristin and not able to find it in “HSN Community Discussion”, here’s what Andrew posted in another board –
“This from Andrew and normally I do not post, but thought I should. Muriel is my dear friend and effectively part of my family for many years. We have also worked together for more than 15 years. Neither Muriel nor I ever contemplated marriage, since that was never the nature of our friendship. Kristin has been my girlfriend for quite some time and she makes me extremely happy. Oddly enough, Muriel knew Kristin first, and from the very start they have been friends. Muriel and I continue to work together and remain close friends. Muriel is Kristin’s biggest fan. Perhaps one day I will introduce everyone to Kristin on air. I will now go back to being off the boards. I wish everyone the best of health and the greatest of happiness in their life, friendships and relationships.”

Kristin must be a CA girl then. Maybe that’s why he never skypes from his manufacturing plant anymore. Really disappointed about that. I liked seeing Lincoln romp around the plant. I really don’t care about his personal life. He promotes the plant nearly every presentation and we see the same 6-7 year old video of it. You’d think he’d film from there once in awhile.
Maybe his new love interest is also why there’s still no pet vitamins after all these years.
Think Mr. Lessman is spending more time enjoying his fortune!

More air time for the host that I immediately turn off. Callie appears to be in good shape. Maybe she’ll return to work earlier than anticipated.

I checked M Asam’s products. It appears to me that most of the most popular items are still at full price. I have no idea what the future holds for M Asam with HSN but I tend to think the clearance and sales are about selling older stock so that fresh stock can replace it. Perhaps Marcus will be appearing in HSN studio since it’s been awhile.
I admit it is getting old seeing brand ambassadors in studio instead of owners. Too many brands with brand ambassadors doing the sales pitch. Not the same as brand owner.

I’m not a fan of going out with shiny face regardless of the benefit to my skin so I cover it.
Squalane and various oils make your skin very shiny. If you don’t want shine, and want natural, no makeup look, you can lightly dust with matte bronzer powder, or spray with Perlier hyaluronic black rice micro mist, or lightly pat Skinn Collagenesis PEP40 on your skin which is matte finish and some prai moisture creams are matte.
On my face I dust with bronzer then set with Perlier hyaluronic. On my arms or legs I use Skinn PEP40 over shiny stuff.

I hope so too.

Agree 100%.
Why didn’t HSN bring all of the holiday set designs to PA with them? I just think this has executive PREFERENCE and decision written all over it. Perhaps some higher up does not agree with traditional American holidays?
To any HSN exec or management-
(1) Remove that hideous bubble gum pink couch from the set,
(2) Return all stage settings to traditional Thanksgiving & Christmas set designYou’re loosing viewership in a time frame that you should be gaining it due to holiday shopping.
You’re catering to fringe, not your base.

Agree 100%

NO ONE is discussing HSN management protecting their employees’ safety. Of course we want them to protect their employees. There are also OSHA, wage & hour, and other laws requiring them to protect their employees.
The discussion is that HSN’s plan to protect their employees, equipment, and property in these types of events has been established since the last significanr hurricane YEARS AGO.
Given that is true, why NOT then have ACCURATE an accurate statement regarding the “state of their TV programming and other services” running as a banner along the top or bottom of the screen?
Do they think that viewers do not want to know?

Their bar soap is better than anything else on the market available in my opinion. Healthy ingredients. All the brands have some hype.
But specifically what I was talking about was the telecast which was vastly more entertaining than HSN’s routine scheduling of past 3-4 months. A couple of hosts now doing three hour blocks 2 x a week when they only did 3 to 4 hours per week before March.
The host and Beekman guys were all enjoying the broadcast. Valerie wasn’t loud, talk too fast, cackle, or interrupt them. She asked good questions and was intently listening to the answers.
And the goats are cute!

The black retro floral is gorgeous!
