The same here. I was looking on their website in June when I saw a coupon code on the screen that for a change I didn’t have to have an hsn card to use. It was for multiple uses, $5 off items of $20 or more. They later sent me the same code in the post. Normally I don’t get anything like that.
You can sign up for emails from them if you don’t mind being constantly spammed. I’ve never seen such a hard sell company in my life. They might send you some codes that way. When I did that in the past it really took some doing to get them to stop spamming mÅ›e, and I’m not sure I want to go through that again just in case they might send me an occasional discount code or free shipping code. It was almost all advertising with no codes. I think I might have got some sort of code once a year.

That’s a good idea about buying things on different days, if there’s something you really want, so they can’t profit so much on shipping, unless they do what amazon do and combine orders anyway. If you wait awhile, almost everything will be available elsewhere, even if you have to search a bit for it. Maybe I’m only imagining it, but I feel like hsn hate their customers now, or at least couldn’t care less about them. Customer service used to be more flexible and accommodating. Now they just don’t care at all, at least not in my experience. I got what I consider a very cold response when I wrote to them about the shipping. I don’t really care that much, though, because I don’t need them. I’ve already received some and have got more of the new CC items on the way from England for cheaper prices, no tax, and free shipping, and I’ll wait for the AG items to be put onto her website with free shipping. Hsn can take a flying leap, I care even less about them than they do about me, and I spent probably easily thousands in the past, but that means nothing to them. They’d rather charge silly high shipping prices and lose customers.

Anna Griffin has been putting most things on her website eventually. Sometimes there is a long wait, but she doesn’t charge shipping on orders of $50 or more.

Thanks for replying. I thought I looked yesterday. I look most days coming up to a craft day, to see about the shipping. How disappointing. I sent them an email asking about it a couple of hours ago. I know they have the power to do something about it if they are so inclined. I told them without free shipping I would not be buying anything again this time. It hasn’t seemed to matter to them recently. I’ll see if their attitude has changed.

I vowed to never buy anything from hsn again after the loss of the $5 shipping, but I had a coupon sent to me in June, multiple use, $5 off items of $20 or more, which either more than covered the shipping or covered most of it, which is the only reason why I bought anything, otherwise I would have waited for months and got them from AG. I bought a few Anna Griffin items, including the poinsettia pop up dies and the festive flourish dies, and everything I ordered, and on different days, was dispatched within a couple of days. The delays of several days more than usual that I had in receiving them were entirely due to the incompetence of UPS. I have never experienced a worse delivery company here or in the UK. UPS take the biscuit.
However, in the usual inimitable style of hsn, there were a couple of other items I would have liked to get, but they cost $19.95, so the coupon didn’t apply and customer service claimed they couldn’t do anything about that. I don’t think I believe that because of previous experience that showed customer service had a lot more power than you might think. The other thing was that, as usual, they didn’t have some of the other new items, like the AG advent card dies, online until a couple of days after the coupon expired. A few days later those most newly added items disappeared again. I don’t really know what they hope to gain by these antics, but I won’t be watching or buying on craft day unless they do free shipping or at least the $5 capped shipping. It’s a bit frustrating to have to wait so long, several months in my experience, for AG to add the items I want to her website, but that’s what I’ll be doing again.
