Free exchange policy
I recently requested a free exchange on sandals. This was QVC but I’ll assume it works the same way on HSN. They were sold out of the size I wanted. According to the Customer Service rep I chatted with, since they couldn’t fulfill the exchange it then became a Return, and I was charged $6.95 for the return label fee. Whoa, I said, that’s not right. They issued me a refund for it “as a courtesy”, but they will normally charge that fee unless the item was “damaged or defective.”
There were hundreds of reviews for those sandals saying they were way too narrow. I’d call that defective sizing.

IMO I feel they should issue a credit if the product isn’t available. This should be stated in the shipping information. It just makes one hesitate to purchase anything anymore. I’m glad you were credited.

I’m glad too. I knew when I sent them back that they were sold out and thought I might get someone else’s return. If I knew this policy beforehand, I may have decided to just keep them and find a friend with smaller feet rather than spend $6.95 with nothing to show for it.
