“Knock on wood,” the central air is working well. We now have another new one since the other one could not function out of the box. This one should save us some $$$. I hope. Howeverr, living in 95 degree heat with humidity in the house did not do well with me at the end. I tried to use the overhead fans but all it did was circulate the heat. It was not a good idea. The end result today is that wherever I sat I fell asleep. Seeing hubs was not to be. I actually fell asleep at the computer and looked at the clock at the bottom. It was after 5:30 pm. . I contacted the rehab and gave the receptionist a good laugh. I then had dinner and fell asleep again. Guess I was tired from the ordeal and not sleeping more than a couple of hours per day due to the heat. The bedroom cooled after 4 am when the temps were down. But each day I was up at the crack of dawn for the techs.

Sheba, Hello! Here’s to staying cool. Hubs was mentioning my AC usage was more this year than ever before but then he didn’t like the fan going all night so I say pick one…lol.
We capture the condensation from the AC and water the yard /plants with it.
Hubs lucked out with the furniture at his parents house and found someone who took a lot of it for her home business of refinishing refurbishing it. Most of their furniture was older, antique style and needed updating so it found a good home.
My parents bought their furniture in the 60’s and kept most of it as well. It was good quality and could fit into different eras well but some of it was very very heavy. I have two of their chairs from the 60’s that I hope to recover and use if we ever move. They were originally bright orange then recovered to a dusty mauve.
