NATIONAL BEAUTICIAN’S DAY

For the sheer love of all things hair, style and wisdom, June 26 is National Beautician’s Day. Also known as stylists and cosmetologists, these men and women make us look our best every day.

NATIONAL COCONUT DAY

Summer starts in earnest on June 26 when National Coconut Day arrives! This sweet food holiday celebrates all things coconut, including the benefits coconut provides for a healthy body.

Sheba, Sounds like the gang has lots of heat and intense summer weather. I remember those days. My hair was crazy back then with the heat and humidity. It still is a bit. lol.

I’m not up for the gore either but hopefully it will get better or less gore.

Feeling a bit better, though the salmon I ate did a number. This one was fresh and had been marinated in sweet chili with mango. This has always been a staple during the mango season and never affected me. It did this time and I never left the house to see hubs. I am hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

It is still extremely hot and humid. The humidity is awful. No air. A slight breeze, but nothing to make it move on to other pastures. I know next week you and Shoelady will be facing some of our “lovely” weather. The one thing I add is the Smart Water that xango recommended sometime ago. It does help. Staying away from drinking coffee and tea, though difficult, means less trips to the “library” since both are more or less a diuretic. We normally do not see these temps so early on in the season. I do not recall ever seeing the temps in the mid 90s. This year everything is different.

Stay safe. I pray that all is well with you and hubs, Poppy and the kitties. By the way, cherry season has begun and they are delicious.
