I created and started this thread almost 14 years ago. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎I have been shopping and posting on HSN since the late
90’s 😎I have wonderful memories from the HSN we all know and love.

NATIONAL MIMOSA DAY
National Mimosa Day on May 16 gets its name from the Mimosa, a yellow flowering plant. This simple mixture of orange juice and champagne or sparkling wine resembles those flowers in color, however, the flavor adds a kick to most any brunch!
No matter the celebration, mimosas are served up in tall champagne glasses. They turn basic buffets and summer brunches into a festive occasion. You also don’t have to break the bank to make them. Fill the glasses half full with your favorite sparkling wine (it doesn’t have to be expensive champagne) and top it off with chilled orange juice. Garnish with an orange slice, and you’re all set.
Overnight guests will be delighted when you greet them with mimosas and an egg bake you prepared the night before. Or perhaps you’ll heat up the waffle maker. Whatever you serve, the morning will be a hit.

NATIONAL BARBECUE DAY
Each year on May 16 we celebrate National Barbecue Day. Whether you grill at home or grab some takeout, you will find Americans across the country enjoying an assortment of mouthwatering barbeque (BBQ) flavors and sauces.

HONOR OUR LGBT ELDERS DAY
Honor Our LGBT Elders Day on May 16 recognizes the thousands of people in the LGBT community who have paved the way for access and social acceptance. Today, take the opportunity to explore, learn and support equality for all LGBT people.
According to a 2016 Gallup Report, nearly 9 million people identify as an LGBT elder in the United States. These older than average adults face more obstacles than any other age group. Discrimination, social stigma and isolation are among the most common forms of problems LBGT elders face on a daily basis. However, older LGBT citizens are often overlooked when care is needed.
Learning the history helps educate and develop an understanding of LGBT the struggles and triumphs past and present.

💕💎After 17 extraordinary years, I have decided to retire from home shopping and close one of the most meaningful chapters of my career.
Building Rarities Fine Jewelry on HSN was never just about jewelry for me. It was about glamour, storytelling, creativity, friendship, confidence, and the incredible bond I shared with women who welcomed me into their homes and lives for nearly two decades.
The original HSN was a very special place. It never felt corporate — it felt creative, collaborative, inspiring, beautiful, and full of soul. It was a place where ideas, storytelling, design, and passion truly mattered.
When the iconic HSN campus in St. Petersburg closed last year and operations were integrated into QVC, I realized an era I deeply loved had changed.
At the same time, something else became very clear to me: the most meaningful connections I now have with all of you happen every single day on social media. It’s where our connection has become even more personal and real.
I want more of that.
I want to share beauty, jewelry, design, travel, style, inspiration, and authentic everyday moments in a way that feels immediate, personal, and truly connected.
I want to be more Carol. More real. More present.
I created Rarities Fine Jewelry in 2009, and for 17 years every design reflected my personal creative vision and passion for jewelry.
As I begin this next chapter, I will no longer be involved in the design or creative direction of the Rarities Fine Jewelry collection. Going forward, all of my future jewelry designs, rare gemstones, and creative projects will instead live exclusively within the Carol Brodie Collection.
The Rarities pieces created during my years at HSN came directly from my heart and are timeless collectibles filled with meaning, memories, and love.
Thank you for 17 unforgettable years of loyalty, friendship, and support.
This is not goodbye. It’s a new beginning.
Stay tuned and continue to follow me on Instagram and Facebook as this next chapter begins.
Sending you sparkle and brilliance always, 💕💎 -

Sheba, such a gorgeous lilac color. Love it. The Lizards say hi back along with a few push-ups as they like to show off! Any fun Heidi pieces to report?
Still healing along. So happy I did this. I feel so much lighter. Have to laugh at the surgeon who declared to me at more than one appt that I would not need drains. Guess what? Woke up with 2. I didn’t really believe him anyways and think he was trying to be encouraging. It was all ok. -
Shoelady, yes, anywhere any time! Next I’ll be joining your wine club.
Congratulations to your Mom on her win.
Exciting. Did your Sister move back to PA?
