Update: I am back in bed. Phoned the receptionist and found out that there is a stomach virus going around the rehab. Hmm…I wonder. I will stay away today and will see how I am tomorrow,. It is a real long day for hubby when I do not show and he worries endlessly. I have suggested that he be given second helpings whenever possible. Hope they have snacks as well.

Guess you can read between the lines. I had ordered Asian food for myself and the receptionist. What I had was something I ordered previously without a problem. This time, however, the food did not look the same. But it had the same ingredients, or so I thought. This time it did a number on me. I had food poisoning that lasted until yesterday afternoon. This was not a sulfite thing. It will be a long time before, or ever, I would venture back to this Asian place. I was ill through last night. My energy has returned and maybe I can get some work done. I will see hubby today and hopefully will return to the daily visitations.

Weather here is cloudy, high humidity and rain. We had two thunderstorms thus far. I will not be complaining since this is rain that is well needed. Not sure of anyone doing fireworks tonight. Suffice to say I will not be taking any chances and will be leaving the Rehab before dark. The rehab is in a bad neighborhood where there is gun fire almost every evening. There used to be an RN who would walk me to my vehicle when he was on duty. He either quit or was fired. And speaking of that. Our favorite aid is now home for a month. At this point I ‘m not sure if he will be returning. He fell in the rehab and did hurt his back. So not sure what the outcome will be from this doctor’s note. Not sure if surgery is the answer. I have his wife’s cell phone number, but for some reason does not respond. I mentioned this to him the last time I saw him. His response was that she doesn’t care about his health, but he still loves her. Go figure.

off and on all night. The party for the fireworks will go on into the wee hours of the night.
