NATIONAL TAPE MEASURE DAY

On July 14, measuring twice means something extra on National Tape Measure Day. Measure our facts after we share a quick history about the tape measure and explain why it is a standard tool in almost every household.

NATIONAL NUDE DAY

Laundry is unnecessary on July 14 because It’s National Nude Day! Enjoy an air bath or explore the naturist movement. We are not sure who will be celebrating today, but one thing is for sure, the observance offers a way to keep cool on a hot, sticky summer day.

NATIONAL MAC AND CHEESE DAY

National Mac and Cheese Day earns a place of honor on July 14 as one of the classic comfort foods at America’s dinner table.

On the night of July 16, 2025, look up and witness a graceful celestial dance as the crescent Moon passes near Saturn and Neptune in the night sky.
🌠 Saturn — the jewel of our Solar System — will shine prominently, easily visible to the naked eye with its steady, golden light. You can even glimpse its iconic rings through a small telescope, adding to the wonder of the evening.
🔭 Neptune, on the other hand, lies much farther away and is too faint to be seen without optical aid. If you have binoculars or a telescope, look carefully to spot the distant blue planet as a tiny, pale dot next to the Moon’s path.
This rare alignment is a reminder of the intricate motions of our cosmic neighbors and a perfect opportunity for stargazers to connect with the vastness of the universe.

Don’t miss it — step outside just after midnight and look toward the eastern sky.

Good Evening well because I live in Tornado Alley we have those loud warnings once
a week. I mean they are loud which is a good thing.

Glad hubs is loving the muffins. 😎 We have made plans for our visit to Colorado.
My niece who is my brother’s daughter has twin daughters well she is married and the
baby is due in a couple of months. The other twin is single they are beautiful girls.
This is my favorite brother and he has get this four daughters. LOL! 😎💕😘🎈
Bro and his wife put all four through College I love my nieces.

OZ is a bit hot. I love your cookware you are getting have fun. YES! I am a Wolfie Girl
and his stuff last still shiny as the day HSN sent them to me. I own just about every piece
he has sold on HSN and this is the only place I buy his cookware.

Taci you may not believe this but I was donating at a thrift store and I happened to see
in the back a roaster with the rack in it brand new in plastic. The store almost gave it to
be and it was a Wolfgang Puck Bistro Roaster. This is the only time I have ever seen
something of Wolfie given away. I think someone was cleaning their kitchen. LOL!
That was the only piece I needed so win-win.

Good evening I am so glad you got to see your husband. The KP is almost over.
I love loading up boxes and getting rid of what I don’t need.

Oodie you know I have over 500 pieces of the high end Heidi Daus. I already have a plan
for that. I have many nieces and three daughters and more female relatives. I have ask
if any want some of my pieces in 30 years and they all said yes. I have entire collection
brought here on HSN. The Cinderella Collection, Beauty and the Beast and such.
I have shown my actual pieces here on the HSN Heidi Daus Thread. 💕😎 Oodie when
we had the jewel thread those were the good ole days. I am not parting with my Iris Apfel
pieces only close family get those.

I hope you get gentle rain and not the hard stuff that causes damages. Oodie I think
your area will be doing what we call in OZ Recycle you put all you plastics in the bin
like bottles, milk cartons, etc. I have been doing this for 20 years and they are picked up
with your everyday trash on the same day. I love it. I am recycling and helping the planet.

Good Evening and I hope your husband enjoyed your yummy dinner. I certainly enjoyed
a day of not cooking. Hubs made a great Lean Hamburger and the works. Honest it
is too humid and warm to cook like I like to.

Lady I hope all went well with your labs last week. All the lab found was I am taking
too much Vitamin D I just a tiny bit over the normal range. So no I have lower my intake
of Vitamin D and the rest was great. 😎

What do you think of the Tennis Game? I have my favorite and America is one of them. 🎈😎

No marketing today. Too hot. Over 100 when you add the temp plus the humidity. Decided to take it easy. There is now a nice dent in the kitchen. So glad to see the clutter fading away. It’s a long process. Cannot tell you how many things ended up in the garbage and how many boxes for donations. Those boxes will end up near the front door for loading as soon as the kitchen is done.

I made it to the rehab this afternoon. Hubby had just finished dinner when I arrived. He so wants to go out for a ride and when I mentioned that we need to go through channels to set it up he couldn’t believe what I was saying. I tried to explain that as long as he is a patient we need to obey their rules. Oh, he cannot wait to return home. And that reminds me. I will probably hear from the remodelers tomorrow or Tuesday. I surmise the samples are in. This will be to schedule the appointment for the final measurements.

I brought chocolate ice cream from our freezer. I have two plastic containers with covers that were included with a nice size Thermos. These containers are very useful and I fill them time to time for both of us. And that reminds me that my Costco lunch box was left behind in hubby’s room. I hope it’s still there when I see him tomorrow. This box is actually for hot/cold items. It came with a plastic container and cover along with 2 ice paks. It holds quite a bit along with the ice things.

On that note I think I will call it a day. Feeling tired and tomorrow is garbage day for us. From what I have read in the last few days, our garbage pickup is changing. We will now have a holder for our garbage instead of the plastic things we purchase either from Walmart or somewhere else. To think I was about to purchase a new one. Looks like we will need to separate our items for this pickup as well. Starts in October.

Have a wonderful evening. Looks like we will be getting some much needed raindrops beginning tomorrow. Just hope it doesn’t turn into a hurricane. I check every chance I get for the latest developments.

Sheba, Hello! Yes, still backings muffins for my husband. Usually two times a week. He had me add some of the frozen blueberries this time. it’s much healthier than the store bought cake muffins. I cleaned up some kitchen cabinets today and am replacing older items. I recall you and Xango like Wolfgang Puck pans but he doesn’t have much left here. I recently received the Lidia Bastianich 6.8-Quart Stainless Stockpot with Colander Insert and today ordered the Ninja C30020 Foodi NeverStick Premium 8″ Fry Pan. Should be good for a while.
Hope you get to CO soon and can visit with your Mother.
Hope your Sister and SIL are doing well.
I’m thinking about Texas and wondering about their emergency systems. Many years ago when I lived in WI there were very loud sirens for Tornado warnings and watches.

Good afternoon in Oz. Hot, sunny day and now we have thunderstorm warnings.⛈

Hubs golfed today so I did my “thang” around the house, LOL! I did see most of Wimbledon – on to the US Open.🏆

Making spaghetti for dinner and apple pie for dessert.🍝🥧 May have to add a little ice cream with that!🍨 Enjoy whatever your husband decides to concoct.🥰
