Conversation – 31

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread.
This is number 31 out of the of the series.
I created and started this thread over 11 years. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

All is well. The canvas lunch box cooler was sitting on a chair. It is now home safe and sound. His roommate is still here and I suspect he will be returning home shortly. I heard from the decorator this afternoon and he has samples and will follow me to the rehab so we can both pick something out.
It was lightning on my home and pouring. There were streaks that went horizontally and others were vertical. However, some were really scary when they were two or three at one time. Hard not to see this. It was right in front of me for most of the ride. Happy to be home in one piece.
Pleasant dreams.

Good Evening I spoke with my brother today and his wife is doing so good.
Pancreatic is not easy to beat by no means. A lot has to do with what stage you
are in and the location. I am telling you see went through hades with chemo, surgery
and radiation she still has three more chemo sessions. We are so thankful she has no trace of cancer. I pray this can help other people.
I hate cancer with a passion.
Enjoy something cool tonight. Glad your labs were good too. I take too much of a good
thing. LOL!Sweet Dreams. 💕😎

Good Evening I am wondering about Xango too. I don’t like to pry but I know when
the time is right she will post. The Vids she posted were from YouTube and you can
pull those up and read them. I don’t post them because some may contain malware.
I am speaking of live links you have to be careful. I make sure my sites are safe.I miss her posting her recipes and the spices she herself grows. I love that. 😎💕
I am glad you are up and going. Did your husband one day room mate leave yet?
I wish you luck on taking him out for a day. Good lord he needs that. I wonder why
a social worker is not working with you on that even if you have to pay extra it would
be so worth it for him.
Glad you had some good rain OZ will have some in a few days. 💕😎
Oodie I am feeding animals and making sure they are alright. 💕
Have fun shopping tomorrow just don’t do too much. Enjoy your evening.

Today is the coolest day of the week but it is very humid so feels hot.🔥 Hot and rain chances the rest of the week. Copying your this and that all day. I did enjoy Wimbledon especially during the afternoons for something different.
Labs were fine, two or three things a tad high/low but doc not worried. I had a lot done this time so quite pleased.👍
Just finished making tuna salad for dinner. Like you said, not up to eating anything heavy in this warm weather. I could go for a big fruit salad right now.🍉🍈🍓🍍 I am going to have a couple friends over in a few weeks so I think I will make one.
Stay cool, calm and collected, hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

I forgot to mention that I do not know if that lunch bag is still in hubby’s room. It will be the first thing I will check when I get there. The aid that is on duty today is an excellent worker. She is a grandma and does not look old enough to be one. Hubby likes her. Says she is an excellent worker even though he misses his favorite. Not sure if that aid will be returning. The back injury has to be severe to keep him from running around the way he normally would. Just wish his spouse would help more.

This photograph is a rarity. Marilyn Monroe—29 years old, no makeup.
No trace of the Hollywood icon we’re used to seeing.
What’s left is Norma Jeane**—tired, vulnerable… and breathtaking in her rawness.
At this moment in her life, she had just finished filming When the Woman Ascends the Stairs—a role that would cement her legacy in cinema.
Behind the scenes, her second marriage to Joe DiMaggio was collapsing.
A man who, though he loved her in his own way, hurt her with jealousy, control, and physical abuse.
It was a time of pain, sleeping pills, alcohol, pressure from all sides—studios, tabloids, expectations.
And yet, this image tells a quieter story.
🖼️ A story of a woman who, despite it all, held on to a quiet strength—one that no amount of makeup could create… or erase.
A recent digital restoration brought forward details we rarely see:
Her freckles.
The faint blemishes usually hidden under powder.
Soft, youthful skin untouched by the toll of sleepless nights.
But it’s her gaze that says it all.
She’s not posing.
She’s not seducing.
She’s somewhere deep in thought—or maybe far away from it all.
No false lashes.
No red lipstick.
No sculpted curls.
Just her.
And that’s more than enough. -
Happy Monday. We have had one thunderstorm after another since the wee hours of the morning. The thunder has been loud and boisterous while the lightning has been light. We have had some gentle droplets and some heavy downpours. Going to see hubby will be quite challenging since there are areas on the road that do get flooded. I think sometime this week I will shop at TJ’s. I haven’t been there in over three years due to the pandemic. It dawned on me this morning that there are foods that hubby can enjoy without me pureeing. Soups come to mind when he was in the throws of having posts implanted for upcoming teeth that he had lost. This was the week following surgery that I drove to the Cape house making stops at various markets for items that he could eat without chewing. Our last stop was TJs where I picked up soup and other essentials. Hubby was starving, but could not eat. He hated Boost and still does today. But those stops helped me to prepare food for him. Fish comes to mind and also chicken. Some cheeses were OK, but eggs were the number one on the list. Now, of course, with the Farmer’s Market, anything is possible.
Not sure if today will be a shopping day. Rain comes and goes. I know I will not be wearing my thongs until I’m indoors. My favorite shoes are in the car and ready to go. I will not be mentioning shopping to hubby. He gets upset that he cannot go with me. I am finding that there are handicapped car rentals and I will be looking into them. Not sure if I will be able to drive one, but will take a look and than make that decision. Of course there is a price point. I am finding that items or things for the handicapped are overpriced. Seems these individuals are being taken for a ride. Enough said.
I do hope xango and hubby are OK.. Miss some of the videos she mentioned and also shown on her post. When hubby is home we will take a ride to the Asian market in Brandon. I will post this and hopefully she will see it. This will be in preparation for our return North. Stay safe and have a wonderful day.
