I promised myself that I would just watch and not buy. That lasted one minute and a couple of seconds. I could not resist the cat pin. Then just a few days ago purchased the monkey (hubby states he was born on the lower end of the anthropological scale) LOL and the dolphin. I put the parrot en suite in my favorites.

Well, I had a visitor in the guest bathroom this morning. A very tiny baby gecko. I got my trusted shoe box and now he is outside where he belongs. So cutel But didn’t need something xtra to watch and take care of.

Yesterday I purchased salmon in a mango sauce. No salt or sugar added. I made it this morning for breakfast and it was the best salmon I’ve had in years. Never realized that there is much you can do with mangos besides eating. I should have known better. I usually make an Asian soup using honeydew melons instead of winter squash. And I do add fruit to some of my dishes in cooking. But, for some reason never thought of a mango. And, yet, it was sweet and very tasty. Looks like I will be using it in many dishes.

Yes, I will see hubby today. I am getting ready for the visit and cannot wait to hop into the car and be on my way. I no longer can bring any food and that now includes Culver’s frozen custard. When I was told, it was in front of hubby. Hubby turned to me and in front of the RN said not to listen. My comment was that if I didn’t, I would not be permitted to see him. On that note, the aid brought him a cookie and some other in between snacks following dinner. This aid is excellent. The only ones I have a problem with are the ones on the weekend shifts.

It was on the cool side this morning with temps in the mid 70s. It is now 91 and rain will probably be here soon. We had a couple of hours of good rain yesterday and more of the same is expected this afternoon. We will have another heat wave beginning tomorrow and it will last at least 5 days. I bought watermelon and cherries yesterday. I should be fine with the Smart Water and the purified.
