Just returned from visiting hubby. I arrived before dinner was served. Actually, it was an hour late and poor hubs was famished. I had nothing to offer him. One of the RNs came by and asked how I was. According to hubs everyone has been asking. He mentioned that he let it be known about the sulfites and Meniere’s, They all wonder how he will handle things when I get hit with one or both. His answer was that when the time comes he will be able to handle it. Abd speaking of allergies, I am wondering if your sniffles are allergies to the environment rather than a cold. It is extremely hard to differentiate the two. If the air quality is good tomorrow, I will be doing some planting and maybe weed the garden in front of the house. Rain is expected beginning either Tuesday or Wednesday and will be on and off for a couple of days.

The night is clear with temps in the low 80s. The moon followed me home. The sky was too bright to see any stars. Oh well. ….😂

Happy Sunday to you. I don’t quite get this AR deal. They need more than one player to make them a better team. I watched George Clooney on CNN and found the broadcast/Broadway play quite interesting. The story line was before my time. However, I do recall watching Edward R. Murrow interview guests at their home and in some cases a small tour. The play was very well written and I can see why George Clooney is up for an award. I just wish our TVs were up and running. But that’s for another day. Suffice to say they are collecting dust in another room.

I didn’t see hubby today. I had another sulfite attack and this time nipped in the you know what so it only lasted a few hours. However, hubby would have noticed the swelling and that would be enough to set him off. I will be contacting the dentist either Monday or Tuesday on his implant. When I brought it home I found the entire inside stuffed with some kind of paper. This meant he had not seen the dentist and this was probably a fix by either the nursing staff, speech therapist or the social workers. It took me hours to get it cleaned. However, they keep falling out. He has other problems as well that needs to be addressed. Evidently, the aids are too busy to hand the toothbrush to the patient. I wonder when hubby actually brushed his teeth.

I have heard from the people who will be redoing the bathroom. Hopefully, the work can begin in a week or two. I will need to empty the two hallway closets completely. We will be enlarging the shower and the rest of the bathroom. One of the closets houses the return on the A/C. I will be contacting our A/C people to turn the A/C completely off so that the area can be redone. The A/C techs will be supervising that end of the project. Also the water will be shut off. Worse scenario will be going to a hotel for the night. The bathroom, as I know it, will be non existent. They are going down to the bare walls and redoing the subfloor. The workers will reframe and redo the two closets and then my “fun” will begin. As if I haven’t been living out of boxes all this time. At least the kitchen is starting to look pretty good.

We will have three days next week for the possibility of showers. Notice I wrote “possibility.” This means that not everyone will see those drops. Monday is garbage day for us. Thursday I managed to get the recycle out due to the eye appointment. Could not do both. Have quite a few boxes for donations.

Yep, we got Aaron for one year.🏈 That’s because he will probably retire. Steelers have been like a seesaw trying to find a QB for the last couple seasons. Rodgers doesn’t make much sense to me but I’m not an owner, coach, etc. Years ago he was my favorite “cutest” player. He has since fallen from the top and Joe Burrow has taken his place. Many times if I’m not into a game or sport I just root for the cutest players.😂

Thank you for eating my share of the donuts. They are loaded with sulfites. I used to think it was the flour I was allergic to. I was at the Farmer’s Market today and the donuts looked so delicious and the price was right. But, left them behind. I did purchase a seedless watermelon, bananas, dragon fruit, red oranges and forgot to buy lychee nuts. The Lychee Nuts kept both of us hydrated during our time in China and Hong Kong.

I cleaned hubby’s implants last night and returned them to him. They looked brand new. However, they do fall out and that concerns me. I will be contacting the dentist to see if there is something that can be done with the fit. For now, I will agree that he should be on puree foods., though, he can chew with the posts without a problem. He was in good spirits and said he was still concerned since the color has yet to return. I do feel better. and that’s the main thing.

I’m writing this early Saturday morning. Fell asleep. This time in bed and not at the computer. Not sure if I will be working in the kitchen or planting. Yesterday it was very hot and very humid. No air. Being in an A/C car was so very comfy. Slight chance of rain today. Rain event starts Tuesday for three days or more. The air quality will determine where I work.

The samples for the tile should be in next week. This is why the hold up. The renovators and their decorator, opened a new place in St.Pete. My problem has been that I needed to see the samples in order to make a decision. The decorator will be here to take final measurements and then offer their advice on color, etc.. This bathroom is not dull. It is very bright so anything in the tan family could be a washout. I’m thinking of a light teal or something in the blue family to keep the ocean/beach theme. Once the samples are in then we can begin thinking about the redo. Unfortunately, I am way behind in the cleaning process due to sulfites and vertigo. My back is now better and the legs are working good. I think the aches and pains was primarily due to the A/C in hubby’s room. I always have a sweatshirt in my bag from HSN and a lap blanket.

Hope you three had a great Friday. Those donuts looked so delicious and the price was right. But, but, but not worth the aggravation that would follow. Especially after last week’s episode.

Oodie those Donuts were for the Staff at the Rehab. I use bring things when my dad was
in Hospice. I learned one thing about Staff they like to eat.

Hubby and I have been working on eating a watermelon he chopped it up real good.

This morning my TV and internet were out. Spent half the morning and half the afternoon troubleshooting and on the phone with the cable company. Trying to get through to the cable company here has to be one of the worst jobs to accomplish. You are on hold longer than you speak to anyone.😖 But that was after I got my donuts! All is fixed now – I ate two donuts instead of pouring a drink.🍩🍸🍩 Thanks for joining me with the raspberry ones, yum!

Hi and a good afternoon to you and Poppy. I just returned from the annual eye doctor appointment. Yesterday I wasn’t sure I would be OK for today. Thankfully, the Dramamine kicked in and all is well. I have been living with Meniere’s for years and years. You could awaken and feel good and then all of a sudden things start to move in a circle. Standing, sitting, reclining all become issues. The room spins even when your eyes are closed. The hardest part is being able to crawl into bed and that depends where you are at the time. Our bedroom is designed for this. I have many things I can either lean on or hold onto until I can make it to the bed and the meds. Making it to the bathroom is sometimes a crawl or using a chair with wheels. During this period I try to stay hydrated and definitely a drink like the one xango mentioned is high on the list. Though my allergist retired years ago, we remained friends and sending him an email is what I do when I can. Anyway, I was prepared for the long haul and found myself lucky that by late afternoon everything had passed. Normally, it is a two or three day thing.

Had the appointment with the ophthalmologist this morning. He was quite surprised during the examination to see that one of the cataracts seemed to go down in size. He had to redo that part of the exam several times and look at my previous records. He had never seen this happen before and thought he had read the info incorrectly. Thank you Mr. Lessman. Your eye vitamins are working well.

Hubby was with me. He is again missing this upper implants. I will be leaving shortly for the rehab with toothbrush and toothpaste in hand. This never should have happened. I will look for them and will also notify the rehab if they are missing. Hubby, at least, picked out new frames and we both love them. I have the paperwork in the car on his transaction in hopes that the rehab will reimburse me since they were either stolen by the help for the frames or were tossed by the kitchen staff. Good start for the round of doctor appointments for this month and next.

The lost implants were found on the floor of a hallway. Hubby has no recollection losing them. I had first searched the room and asked the nurse if she knew where they were. The teeth are in my bag and will get an overnight soaking and then brushing. . Thankfully they were found. This case is now closed.

No rain today. It is hot and very humid. Tomorrow, the same with a chance of raindrops. Have a great evening.

Good Evening I am so glad your hubs implants were found. I think better found than
having to have a new set made which can be very expensive.

On to something else that needs to be solved. There is always to done.

Oz is alright tonight we are in the 60’s and I am fine with that. 😎🎈

I have plenty to do in house so I am still busy. Mr. Poppy and i went out before the rain
started. I love the smell of rain and how fresh it makes everything.

The Birds are out and about very interesting as they have never been on my porch.

Another warm, humid day with some of the haze from Canada. Right now we have a light rain and it will be a little cooler tomorrow.

Not much happening today except for housework – that never ends. Tomorrow I’m going to try to organize a few piles I have laying around – after I get my donuts.😊🍩😊
