Went to see hubby yesterday and he was still hungry after dinner. The food on his plate did not amount to much. Everything was like mush and not much of it either. Thankfully, I made two grilled cheese sandwiches and a dessert for hubby. He absolutely devoured the sandwich. I left hubby around 9:30 as he was falling asleep. I arrived home after 1:30 am. Now for the whys. The car seemed to be Ok driving to the rehab. I keep checking the tire gauge on a panel in the car and they were doing fine. I got into the car and started to drive homeward. I hadn’t gone a quarter of a mile when the warning lights came on. Seemed my back tire was down. So I drove back to the rehab and contacted AAA. I thought for sure someone would be out almost immediately. It got to be 10:30 and no update on the Triple. 11:30 and still nothing. Our favorite Aide came out and was surprised to see me in the parking lot. I did check the car prior to calling triple and discovered the valve was missing. So when the aide came out he offered to show me the nearest gas station with an air pump. I decided to wait it out for another half hour or so. Then I remembered the boot as a spare and went into the trunk to see if it had a valve, which it did. I used that to seal the tire which was now down to 4. The gas station, as it turned out, was just a block down the road. Went in and though they had a pump, the hose was missing. I decided to drive home at that point. Luckily there the traffic at that hour was light. I saw amptjer gas station on route and swung in. They had an air pump, but no hose. Thinking it was inside I went in and they said it was out of order. So I drove on. There was another station just up the road. This time they had an air pump with hose. Had to pay $2 to use the pump. For some reason it would not pump and again went into the building. I was told that they were waiting for it to be repaired. Three gas stations where the air pump wasn’t working. No sign to say out of order. Absolutely horrendous. Waking up this morning, checked my cell and found that Triple came to my rescue after 8am.. To think I would have stayed at the rehab all night waiting for Triple gave me the willies. I contacted Triple this afternoon. It took 2 hours for someone to come out. End result was a tire that was ready to move. Drove to the rehab, everything was fine. Left around 10 pm and drove to the end of the driveway and the lights were flashing again. I drove home and will contact triple in the morning and then have the tire checked to see why the valve falls off. I now wonder if someone is fiddling with my car. I will get valve replacements and will keep them somewhere in the car. Thankfully, I am home.

I do like both time changes. When we fall behind, I wake up to some gorgeous sunrises. No alarm needed to start the day. I also remember as a child growing up waiting for the school bus and enjoying the sun on my back. At least I didn’t need to use a flashlight to alert drivers to people standing on the corner. Returning home, I had about an hour to stay outside and do nothing. Though it got dark around 4:30 pm I had that time to myself and then went inside to start the homework and get ready for the next day. Today, the sun wakes me around 7 am and I can stay in bed and watch the morning begin. However, I do have a shorter day to get things done, but hubby loves it because I get to spend an extra hour or two with him. Driving home is a no brainer. I leave when hubby starts to fall asleep and the drive home is the same darkness. So it feels no different. The time changes never bothered me. But I know others hate it. Me, I love the extra hour I can stay in bed and read or do a jigsaw. I can start the day without the tension.

Sheba, You had a good healthy breakfast. The Tree pictures are beautiful, and the little critters too. It seems many Canadians travel to warm spots (along with UK’er’s). We met someone who said on her first trip to Portugal, she knew immediately. She went back, got her kids and left for good. AZ also gets a lot of Canadian visitors. They are friendly people.
We mailed in ballots, which were tracked and counted within 2 days. I have a luncheon with 3 other women on Thursday to discuss the election. I asked my hubs to fill in for me but he declined. Deep Breaths….
You are right about hiking and walking keeping me ready to walk all over when we travel. We log a lot of steps on hills of cobblestones, tiled stones, some with mud and dirt, steps, more steps and oh my so many steps. By the way, I love steps. My view is walk 20-30 minutes up hill to get to a Castle to walk an hour or two with more steps, then walk down hill to a town square, then uphill to the room, then up a few flights of steps to get to the room. Just when you hit the wall – more steps. Loved it 🙂

Hello Sheba 🌹,
I hope you are well enjoying the fall season 🍁🍁🍂🍂🍂.
Happy election day. Tomorrow is going to be very interesting. The work is done and now hopefully we can start to rest.

I will start to decorate the house for the holidays. This year I want to decorate early and the entire house not leaving any room not decorated. Both inside and outside. I ordered some Christmas lights and a few other things for the outside.
I see that Taylor Swift arrived at the Chiefs-Buccaneers game with mom Andrea.
