Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

NATIONAL CASHEW DAY
A favorite snacking and party nut is recognized each year on November 23rd during National Cashew Day.
The cashew nut is a seed harvested from the cashew tree. The tree originated in Northeastern Brazil. However, it is now widely grown in tropical climates for its cashew apples and nuts.
With leathery leaves arranged spirally, the evergreen cashew tree grows as tall as 32 feet high and often has an irregularly shaped trunk. The flowers are small, starting out pale green then turning reddish, with each one having five slender, acute petals.

NATIONAL ESPRESSO DAY
Get the pure coffee essence on National Espresso Day! Whether you sip one cup or keep buzzing all day long, November 23rd is the day.
The word espresso (/ɛˈsprɛsoʊ/; Italian pronunciation: [e ˈsprɛsso]) in Italian means ‘quick in time.’ Before the advent of the espresso machine, espresso was simply a coffee expressly made for the person ordering it. It was also made with recently roasted and freshly ground beans. The cup was brewed shortly before serving. In the late 1800s, this practice was commonplace in cafés and restaurants.
While today’s espresso maintains the freshness quality, it has undergone a transition in meaning. We’ve come to know espresso as a highly concentrated brew served in smaller quantities. We may also use espresso as a base for other delicious coffee creations.

NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY
National Adoption Day raises awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care. Each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the day focuses on children waiting for permanent, loving families. Not only does the day aim to find homes, but National Adoption Day also helps the dreams of many children and families come true.

NATIONAL EAT A CRANBERRY DAY
On November 23rd, National Eat a Cranberry Day encourages us to take a bite of the bright red cranberry. But brace yourself!
Found in acidic bogs throughout the cooler regions of the northern hemisphere, cranberries are a group of evergreen dwarf shrubs, or trailing vines, that grow up to 7 feet long and 8 inches high. Their stems are slender and wiry, and they have small evergreen leaves.
The cranberry flowers are dark pink with very distinct reflexed petals, leaving the style and stamens fully exposed and pointing forward. The fruit of the cranberry plant is a berry that is larger than the leaves and is initially white but when ripe, turns a deep red.

No broken bones. No pain. Just as I said.. He was cold and needed some warm jammies. I blasted him for what he was trying to do. I showed him the buzzer. His reaction was you could ring all day and no one will come. I mentioned the phone call at midnight. He could not believe they would call on such a small thing. Then I explained that yesterday was a bad day in which I had to crawl due to lower back pain. Weather is about to change to warmer temps. I brought him some appetizers from the market. Tempura Shrimp and a crab cake. When I finally quieted down I mentioned that it was time for him to talk to the PTs to get him going on standing. He needs to be able to at least stand so he can go from bed to wheelchair. If he can do that, he will not need a sling to get him from one place to another. I also mentioned that he will need leg exercises to get the muscles to work again. I did tons of stretches yesterday. Today I was able to move around and get a few things done.
One thing I forgot to mention is that I was able to snag the turkey pin and it is beautiful. I also purchased the 2 drawer Prestige Jewelry Box in turquoise. It was delivered today. I have many of those boxes and my jewelry still looks brand new. I started purchasing those boxes when Colleen first showed them. I was skeptical at first. But they do work.
It was cool going home from the rehab. It’s 52 degrees as I type. Tomorrow begins the warm up. The heat is on 70 and it’s good. Hope to get some laundry done and will stop at Costco on the way to the Rehab for gas. I do enjoy turkey, especially when it’s not over cooked. Hope you have a beautiful weekend.
