Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, glad your niece is safely back to her home. There were lots of travelers.
Are your kids still home with you and your hubs? Glad you had some time with them.
It sounds cold out there.Just when I get out…you pull me back 🙂 (meaning the Heidi Sale). Woa! I love a few pieces but am holding off for now… I think. Did you grab any of the deals? I need to live vicariously through your Heidi purchases. I did have two issues with her site purchases this year, not the HSN ones.

I’ve been away 🛫for so very long. Yet, when I saw your name on this thread, I could hardly wait to jump in and say ‘Hello’ 👋.
You’ve always been so kind & it’s nice to come back to something familiar.
Oh! I have a ‘new addition’ to my household. He’s a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie). He certainly keeps me on my toes (& his 🤣.
Kindest Regards,

Happy day after day after Thanksgiving. Cold and brisk so I stayed in today and did a ton of little things around the house that seemed to take a lot longer than planned.😮 I guess when you let those small things pile up they become a whole day of work.
I turned the TV on at 8:00 last night to watch the game. TV guide said it started at 8:00 but Andy Reid was on talking about the game and the announcers gave the score before it was replayed. Sooooo, I knew the outcome before it started but I did watch.🙄 A lucky win but no one asks how you won. Wasn’t Patrick’s best game. Taylor looked great, when doesn’t she? One more weekend of the concert tour and she may be in your area a lot.
Going to relax with a glass of wine🍷and either a hockey game or movie. Enjoy your time with the kids, lots of hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

We are 61 degrees as I type this. To you it will feel like a typical fall or spring day, but to us, it feels like the beginning of much lower temps. It will be in the 40s tomorrow night. And, it might be cooler where xango lives.
I did type something to you yesterday and it went into orbit never to be seen or read. Par for whatever I guess.
Between my ever ending phone calls from the insurance agents, by the time I made it to the Farmer’s Market, only the large 20 lbs and above were for sale. What I ended up doing was to purchase a turkey breast and then found some giblets, legs and wings. It took less than two hours to cook everything. The meat on the legs slid off and then I used my mini chopper to puree. I tasted it and no flavor was gone. Amazing. The wings were delicious and so was the breast. Unfortunately, my lower back gave a twang and I ended up in bed and never made it to the Rehab on Thanksgiving. So yesterday I packed everything and arrived late afternoon. I made the stuffing late morning. I added honey crisp apples to the mixture after pureeing. I also used shallots instead of the sweet onions. The entire thing came out better than expected and the taste was sweet with no sugar added or salt either.
Hubby enjoyed his meal and then saw that I had not finished part of the meat from the turkey breast. That was not pureed. He enjoyed it and mentioned that it was the best he had ever tasted. Compliments to the chef I suppose. About an hour later he started coughing and it lasted for over an hour before the RN (who is new) decided to send him to the hospital. I was with him until after 5 am this morning. Just before 5 am he was stable enough to be sent to I
ICU. At noon the hospital called that he was being transferred to a room. He has the runs and otherwise is fine. He will probably be back in rehab tomorrow. I also have a stomach problem so it is probably due to the stuffing. I made soup, but didn’t bring it. And, yes, I also used the pans and pots from WP.I wasn’t able to watch the game. But checked online from time to time. The cable for our home is down and will be non existent until everything is back in order. After the kitchen is completed all boxes and furniture will be moved to the den area (that is what is left after the rodents did their job). I will then have the interior painted and one bathroom redone so hubby can use it without a problem. I will also replace all the flooring. Now to find someone who is reputable to do the job.
I agree with you on the eyeglasses and Sherpa. The Unit Mgr that left always found them. The new replacements seem to be helpless and could care less. Contacting the police is not an answer because patients leave right and left. Hubby has a bit of dementia and does not keep track of things. Then again, he never did. I was the backup. However, when I misplaced something, he found it. Imagine that!!!
I guess your kids are a bit snowbound. Seems like I heard that song not long ago. Enjoy the extra day. Can you imagine how many others are facing the same music. YIKES!!!! The airport will be bedlam. I also recall that one daughter is in Vermont. They also had a storm. I’m sure Poppy is loving all the company. He will be lonesome when they leave.
