NATIONAL DAY OF GIVING

National Day of Giving encourages giving back. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We’ve just spent the weekend shopping and searching for the best possible deals. National Day Of Giving reminds us to give to those in need.

WORLD TRICK SHOT DAY

Get ready for World Trick Shot Day on the first Tuesday of December. The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, the originators of the trick shot, bring this celebration to give enthusiasts a chance to showcase their most impressive shots.

NATIONAL ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD DAY

National Roof Over Your Head Day was created as a day to be thankful for what you have, starting with the roof over your head. There are many things that we have that we take for granted and do not stop to appreciate how fortunate we are for having them.

Sheba, the package is not here yet but that’s ok, no hurry. It’s just the bracelet box in cream or Ivory, not the set of 3. Those are nice though. I plan to keep my jewelry organized and streamlined. I think you can wear something different with your jewelry everyday for a year :).
In my working days people were big on trying not to duplicate an outfit for 30 days. Some people would hang a tag off their clothes with dates when last worn. Not me, I am way too practical. Then the times changed and we went to Friday casual, then every day casual (unless we were at a client site). And then the yoga pants and shorts entered the office…. yikes. I couldn’t do that but that’s a reflection of just how casual it is here.

I am now getting ready for a trip to Lowes. I am hoping that they still have the microwave in stock since it is the exact replacement of the one I have. I will not be doing any lifting. I will be asking for delivery, installation and to haul away the old one.

I am taking my time today. Something I ate either yesterday or this morning is not agreeing. Hopefully, it will pass and soon. I was unable to do the garbage this morning because of this. Next time is Thursday along with recycling.

It is a cool 63 degrees as I type. The temp is not supposed to go too much higher. Tonight’s temps will be in the upper 40s. Xango’s weather is similar, but with lower temps. No rain or snow is in the forecast for this week. Both of us should be in the 70s by the weekend.

I surmise you are facing empty nest syndrome again. I surmise Poppy is feeling the same and may be going room to room looking for his brother and sister. So sorry to hear about Shoelady’s friend. This is a difficult time to say goodbye to a loved one especially around the holidays.

I will be visiting hubby after Lowes. Will give an update when I’m home.
