Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

I didn’t see hubby on Friday. Instead I was cleaning the guest bathroom to get it ready for the roofers. They will be here Saturday morning. So far I am happy with my choice. The owner and supervisor has explained everything and it seems they know what they are doing. The people I used following the two hurricanes seemed to know what to do. However, I had to contact them two more times when the roof began to leak again. Each time they asked if that was part of the initial problem. It was. Then it took weeks, in my case, months. before they returned. There were a myriad of things I could have done, but decided to look for someone who knew what to do. And now I have a leak in the same place. The roofer phoned me this afternoon to look at the ceiling in our den before starting the project. He is thinking about tearing down the entire ceiling and roof in that area and installing new everything. The amount he quoted will stay the same. If that is the case, his crew will help me move everything out of the room and when done help to move everything back. Meanwhile, we have another water main break. Right now I have water, but it looks like everything will be shut down sometime today. Hoping the problem can be rectified in one day.
It is still very hot and humid. Temps are in the 90s and so is the humidity. No rain this week. I am again watching the tropics. Looks like two or three in the Atlantic and one that is in the Caribbean may become the next hurricane and head for the Gulf Coast. I’ve seen this on a map and right now it could go towards Mexico or Texas. However, depending upon the jet stream it could head our way.
I am again concerned with xango. Her hubby had Covid and I am hoping she didn’t get it. I do remember that she was scheduled for another procedure and here’s hoping that she is OK. She seemed to be doing good recuperating from the last hospital stay which was weeks. September is also her anniversary month and I am hoping that they went away for a few days. After what she has been through for the last year, getting away is the best medicine for recuperation. At least it is a few days of no cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, etc., etc..
Enjoy your Saturday. Hope you can sit and relax for a change. The rain from the other day could have messed with your computer. If you can, try to send a few of those drops our way.

Billy Joel Lyrics
“Allentown”Well we’re living here in Allentown
And they’re closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they’re killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the Second World War
Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers in the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we’re living here in AllentownBut the restlessness was handed down
And it’s getting very hard to stayWell we’re waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coke
And chromium steel
And we’re waiting here in AllentownBut they’ve taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled awayEvery child had a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our faceWell I’m living here in Allentown
And it’s hard to keep a good man down
But I won’t be getting up todayAnd it’s getting very hard to stay
And we’re living here in Allentown -

Hope all is back to normal in the neighborhood. When the electric goes out, I wander around my house doing nothing or trying to figure out what I can do.🙄 We are so dependent on it. I wouldn’t have made it during Little House on the Prairie times!
Warm, sunny day around 85. Looks like we will have some of your rain next week.🌧 Hubs is golfing so I am taking my time on small things. He will eat there so I will enjoy a big salad for me.🥗
Glad the Chiefs are on Sunday night so I will get to see them. And maybe a new outfit on Taylor. Love the boots but I hope she sits most of the game. I guess I’m just showing my age.😮
Fingers crossed your lights are on this evening.🤞 Big hugs to you, Poppy and the damp cats.🤗💖
