Thank you for your thoughtfulness on the New Year. This is the time I really miss my grandma and the smell of apples and grandpa’s wine. I can close my eyes and actually taste the apple strudel she made. I was only permitted to take one because guests would come visit after services. And, there were many.

Well, tis the season for those headaches. I was visiting hubby last night when a migraine came on. I could not leave. Poor hubby wanted me to stay the night. His roommate left the night prior. He signed himself out against the nurses and doctors. This roommate was also nice and we took turns with the TV remote. I wished him the best and hope he stays well.

Today, another migraine. This time within minutes I heard thunder and saw streaks of white against the sky. I am home. Not taking a chance to drive or for hubby to see me not OK. I will leave early tomorrow to make a stop at the Farmer’s Market and then on to see hubby. The weather here is quite humid though the temps are in the mid 80s. Still watching the tropics, especially on the Gulf Coast. Hopefully, the cooling jet stream will keep the thing in that area from becoming a hurricane. However, we will be seeing a rain event and to think the roofers are returning on Saturday to install a couple of downspouts and to check the roof peaks that came a part. They are in our carport. How they ended up in that area is anyone’s guess.

I ordered plant staples for our plants in front. They are enjoying the rain, but the blooms are taking a nose dive downwards which is against HOA policy. The staples came yesterday and I was able to pull the stems upward and use the staples to keep them in that position. Seems to be working, however I have some poles coming tomorrow just in case with butterfly clips. These poles are clear so they won’t be noticed unless you get up close. This is one time I hate rules. The blooms looked so pretty as they were cascading downward. Oh well……

I forget what 40 degrees felt like. We are now in the mid 80s to low 90s during the day with temps in the mid 79s at night. Though the temps are a bit cooler, the humidity is quite high so it doesn’t feel that cool. December and January are usually the cooler months with temps in the 60s during the day and mid 50s nighttime. I wonder if this year we will see snow in Florida?? I will leave you with that thought.

Very cool morning, I actually flipped the furnace on to see if it worked since we haven’t run it since the new one was installed.🔥 After all your back and forth, hope you can relax this evening. Good day in the ‘burgh. 😘😎🎈Lady I owe you a huge apology from last night.
I was not feeling well due to some sinus issues and I forgot to ask how are things
now that you have power back on. I know what it is like to go without power for days
or hours it is annoying. I am glad things are getting back to normal in that area for you.

I know you and hubby are proud of your niece win in Golfing and making the newspaper
is the best. 💕🎈😎

I am having a very busy day going back and forth taking things out. I love doing it.

I am making a nice roast in my slow cooker and it smells so good. 💕😎 I love Fall because
I can breathe and cooking is always better. LOL! Hubby loves how I cook so do the kids.
I miss my mother’s cooking she is one of the best cooks I know. 💕😘
