Conversation 27

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Hello Sheba 🌻🌻🌻, we made it through the storm. I hope you are well, and your hubby and Poppy are too.
I am concerned with Oodiebom, she is in Manatee County, and had to evacuate. There are many in that country without power. We are not in a evacuation zone, or a flood zone. But in Florida or just about anywhere else now days . One doesn’t have to be in a flood zone to have a flood. We were lucky that no major damage to our home was done. Just some water spots on the ceiling and water under the front door. The wind and rain so vicious and pounding extremely hard.
We were prepared in advance by having plenty of water and food. Hubby had purchased 3 huge batteries before hurricane season came upon us. To power the refrigerator, the freezer and TV. We also have other batteries to connect the coffee maker, air fryer and hot plate. I had baked lots of bread in advance and placed it in freezer. Cooked lots of food in advance too, for the freezer. It’s easy just to heat food in the air fryer and hot plate after the power goes out using the battery.
I wasn’t prepared for the noise the wind made, it was a different kind of noise this time. The huge rain bands and the wind sounded like a distant thunder and sirens all at the same time, that is, to my ears. To hubby’s ears, it was different.
I haven’t experienced such a large hurricane right over us before. In 2004, I went through Charley, Ivan, Frances, and Jeanne. Charley was fast, it came and went with 40 minutes, but did lots of damage. Here in Polk County we started getting rain and winds on Wednesday afternoon and all night until Thursday morning. Right after midnight we lost power, I was surprised until then, that we still had power. Again, we were lucky, power came back in one day.
Sheba, I have been volunteering for a political party. Working with them every day. And I thought it best not to post because I might post something I would regret for being political. So that’s the reason I have stayed away. For now, I will continue to do the same.
I hope you are enjoying your favorite season of the year 🍁🍂🍂🍁🍁.
May you have lots of bike rides in your cool weather, with your hubby and Poppy.
Take care Sheba 🌹🌹🌹 -

Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. 🎈😎💕OZ is a wee bit warm today. The flowers are
still in bloom. So I am enjoying them for now.I hope you are having a relaxing day. I am visiting my Step-Mom this weekend.
The house is strange without my father.I am very concerned about Oodie and Xango. I think their areas were hit hard by
Milton. I am waiting on Oodie to post when it is safe and she has Wifi. 💕Lady I am going to turn the Telly off too much devastation and my heart goes out
to all that are affected.
Hey this is something to make you smile. 😘🎈Sending cool vibes to you and Jake. 😎

You are right, all we can do is pray.🙏 I remember a couple years ago Oodie didn’t have power for a few days and we were worried. But she did check in once the power was back. I think her husband was still at home then so now she has the extra job of going to see him. Right now it’s still one day at a time – I wish we could help.😕
Nice day here, we had a frost warning last night.🥶 It will be in the 70s over the weekend then 50s for the first half of the week. Having spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli for dinner, yum!
Hope you have a nice evening, warm hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Good day in Ohio and may this be a great Friday for you and the kidz. 🎈😎

Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear, or feel it when it comes to us. Let’s not be afraid to receive each day’s surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy.
It will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity.Henri Nouwen

Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year in Judaism. It occurs annually on the 10th of Tishrei, corresponding to a date in late September or early October. For traditional Jewish people, it is primarily centered on atonement and repentance.
