Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

NATIONAL PASTA DAY
October 17 celebrates all things pasta on National Pasta Day. Plus, October is National Pasta Month, giving pasta lovers a chance to celebrate all things pasta!
While we find noodles all over the world, pasta is a type of noodle of traditional Italian cuisine. The first reference dates to 1154 in Sicily and was first attested to in English in 1874. Typically, it is made from an unleavened dough of durum wheat flour. The flour is mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or various shapes. It can then be served fresh or dried to be stored for later use.

NATIONAL EDGE DAY
National Edge Day on October 17 promotes a movement of youth refraining from using alcohol, tobacco, and other recreational drugs.
As part of the Straight Edge movement, teens and young adults pledge to live a clean lifestyle. Many who follow the movement also abstain from recreational sex and unhealthy food choices.
The day also encourages the support of those who chose to live the Straight Edge lifestyle. Abstaining from tobacco, alcohol and recreational drugs is not an indication someone is dull. Many who live on the edge, do so without these chemical enhancements. Some may travel and explore the world. They may be thrill-seekers or collectors of knowledge. Perhaps they absorb languages and music instead.

It was cold here also. Temps were in the low 70s and our nighttime high tonight will be the mid 50s. I am enjoying the cooler temps and the low humidity. It will be back next week with temps in the 90s again.
Didn’t do any work today. Instead went to the Farmer’s Market and bought some fruit for hubby and Dragon fruit for me. Since I am now about to thoroughly clean the frig, I picked up some fruit and take home salads. I brought squash soup with roasted apples for myself and hubby. Considering it took over an hour to drive 10 miles to rehab, the soup was still piping hot. I also picked up a Greek salad for tomorrow.
I am hoping to leave here early afternoon tomorrow to meet with the Social Worker and the new Unit Mgr. I do not have an appointment, but if necessary, will make one ASAP.. The Rehab was freezing and as I sit at the keyboard, I still feel the cold. I assume the cold temps is to keep all the viruses at bay. I may have some hot tea before heading to bed.
Many are still without power. Going to the Farmer’s Market, seeing the devastation is unbelievable. School is still out and they are not sure about Monday. Looks like the make up at the end of the school year may go into July. My ears and eyes are watching the tropics. Many models state that the one in the Caribbean will not hit Florida and that it may weaken. Hmm…..If I remember correctly that is what they said about Milton and two days later it was a hurricane. At least the roofs are basically done. The guys will return to replace the screens on the lanai.
Have a great evening. Try to stay warm. I wonder if winter is coming early this year. Brrr……
