Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

NATIONAL NUT DAY
National Nut Day is observed annually on October 22nd. This day is NOT about the neighbor that lives down the street or the co-worker who sings with their headphones on. It is a food holiday celebrating a healthy and nutritious snack.

NATIONAL COLOR DAY
National Color Day focuses on the impact color has on each of us. The observance takes place each year on October 22nd. Color is powerful. It can affect a mood, draw attention, even cause alarm.
It is hard to imagine a world without color. Without color, we would nearly be blind. Doctors check for health through the color of a patient’s skin. On a late, crisp autumn morning, sparkling frost and leaves changing from green to vermillion signal a change of seasons. A flush of color in the cheeks of a friend sends a cue of her embarrassment. The street light turns from green to yellow to red. In the Grand Canyon, layers of sediment range in color from black to pale ash. All these signs alert us to change through color.
Imagine a world without chrysocolla. This mineral formed from hydrated copper phyllosilicate develops colors from a brilliant cyan to jade green. From darkening skies before a storm to the undulating fragile glow of the aurora borealis, color in nature moves us to pause and enjoy or to warn us of impending danger. Long before colors had names, they served a purpose.
Colors accent our homes and feed our creativity, allowing us to express ourselves. Open a box of crayons or watercolors, and artists of any age lose themselves in a world of their own creation for hours.
Different colors are perceived to mean different things. The following is one rendition of the perceived meaning of the various colors in the United States.
Red: Excitement – Love – Strength
Yellow: Competence – Happiness
Green: Good Taste – Envy – Relaxation
Blue: Corporate – High Quality – Serenity
Pink: Sophistication – Sincerity
Violet/Purple: Authority – Power
Brown: Ruggedness
Black: Grief – Fear
White: Happiness – Purity. -

NATIONAL MAKE A DOG’S DAY
National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22 is a Subaru holiday that invites dog-lovers everywhere to go the extra mile for their pup.
Today is a reminder to animal lovers everywhere to adopt a pet instead of buying a new one. In fact, we encourage everyone to visit a shelter to see why adopting a four-legged friend will make the world a better place.
Why should I adopt a pet? Approximately 3.1 million dogs enter shelters in the United States annually, many being relinquished by their owners. Worse still, approximately 15% of the animals that enter shelters are euthanized. While numbers continue to decline, the need for adoption continues to be overwhelming. One sure way to make a dog’s day is giving them a new, loving home through adoption. When you adopt a pet, you are:
Saving a life.
Stopping animal cruelty in breeding facilities.
Saving money for spaying, neutering, vaccination and sometimes microchipping.
Choosing from a large selection of dog breed who are normally house-trained.
Adopting a dog who has received excellent care in the shelter, which means they are healthy. If A Dog Could Talk
Adoption is just one way to make a dog’s day. If your favorite canine companion could talk, they might tell us going for an extra-long walk would make their day. When was the last time you visited the dog park? Of course, a new chew toy might top their list. Sometimes, they just want to play. Throw the ball already! Another thing that tops the list of fur babies everywhere – don’t stop scratching that itch.

I just read that you lost a relative. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know you mentioned that the person was older, but life taken at any age (younger or older) is difficult for family and friends at any age.
I did see hubby today. Arrived just as he received his dinner. We both ate together. I also brought some dessert. Green grapes cheesecake and a half of a chocolate chip cookie. He ate every bit and then fell asleep. I am feeling better. Let’s see. What caused the sulfite attack…. Apple cider, coconut milk that had a thickening agent, shrimp with preservatives that wasn’t there before. All of the above and then some contributed to my allergy. First time this has happened and the last time. It was too much for my body to handle and the amount on the label was not listed. The allergy is not a killer. Just knocks your system out of whack for a few hours or for three days. This one last two days. If I had gone to the hospital, they would be running all sorts of tests and would have found nothing. I also think that going to Aldi’s and bringing the packages into the house and putting things away on a empty stomach also aggravated the system. In this case, two wrongs did not make a right. As I said earlier. It’s a lesson well learned.
Weather is cooler. Humidity is low. I am happy. The roofer returns tomorrow to finish. Not much for him to do. I am happy and he is busy.
