Just wanted to pop in to say Hi.. I think it is wonderful that you are doing something that interests you and making new friends along the way. I am now enjoying the weather. No humidity and lower temps make me happy to be outside. Our home is coming along. I now have a roof over our heads and the siding is being taken care of. Our lanai was screened in this morning and afternoon and looks great. I need to get in there sometime to remove the furniture and other things to wash the area and disinfect it as well. Will do the same for the furniture before bringing them back. I cannot rave enough about this roofer. Great customer service and helpful with ideas that keep the cost down. Some people in our area did not get their electrical turned on until yesterday. Many traffic lights are still not working. The area looks like a war zone. However, people are showing patience while things are starting to come together. We are 11 miles North of Siesta Key where Milton made land fall. There is not one house on my street that didn’t receive some kind of damage. I wonder if we were hit by a tornado. My roofer seems to think so. All I can say is thank goodness I went to a shelter. It was not a bad experience. You were served three meals per day and you had wifi. Three or four people brought air mattresses. This may be something I would consider. But hopefully, will find a hotel room instead.

I had the roofers again today. There were some problems with the front of the house where we lost some of the siding. The siding was found on our front lawn, but when installed it looked as if it was a second thought. The roofer agreed and made the necessary changes.

Had my hair appointment this afternoon. Found out that the electrical came on last night, so it was a lucky thing today that I wasn’t cancelled. It came out really nice. Hubby didn’t notice. Then again, he was asleep when I arrived and never fully awakened until dinner was served. Then all eyes were on the meal. He was fine following dinner and then asked if I brought dessert. I need to get to the rehab early when the new head nurse and the social worker are on duty. Hubby needs a change of venue and to see some of the sights. I think it will give him an incentive to get moving with the PT and to try a bit harder. I may do that either tomorrow or Thursday.

I agree with you on the food recall. It is terrifying. I am feeling better. However, being that I have a small thermos, I poured some of the apple cider from Aldi to bring to hubby. While doing so, I decided to take a couple of sips and for some reason did not like the taste. But that was me. I still brought the thermos to hubby. On my way, I had to make a stop at CVS and on route started to feel awful. It was the same feeling I had Saturday. Thank goodness I carry Pepto pills with me and while waiting in line at the drive through popped two along with my sinus pill. By the time I started driving to the rehab, the feeling seemed to vanish. I will be tossing the apple cider. That was the culprit and the others just added to it. All I had were two tiny sips and it was enough to cause the reaction.

The refrigerator looks awesome. I was able to do the bottom shelf and once I learned how to take it apart it was easy. Just remove the glass on top and the bottom slides out easily. But to get to that point it was like pulling whatever. Even with “You Tubes” help. But the end result is what counts.

It’s now time to say good night. Hope you all had a great day. The humidity is down and so are the temps. Temperature today was in the mid 70s and tonight will be in the 60s. Tomorrow I hope to do a load of wash and include some warmer clothes since it’s getting to be that time of year. The tropics seem to have quieted down, but the first of November is just around the corner and anything can happen within that month. Take care and enjoy the rest of your evening.
